  1. Even though it is'nt perfect (can't enter buildings and no heavy woods) I WILL be buying this game and supporting its development so we can hope for a patch to fix the things they could not put in it or a TOW 2. Good job! [ March 20, 2007, 07:15 AM: Message edited by: Lanzfeld ]
  2. Show me a WWII tank driver that likes to hit trees and I'll show you a tank that is immobile in about 5 minutes. Trees do indeed stop tanks. Sure looks good in a propaganda film to run over a tree but in reality you are looking at throwing a tread at the least.
  3. I wonder why Moon didnt chime in here. He answered the threads above and below this one.
  4. How very unfortunate. In a land war combat simulator heavy woods is rather important.
  5. I wonder if the demo will be out before the game like it was for the original CM game. Ahhh....those were the days...
  6. Moon.......can you answer this?
  7. My question still stands: Any heavy woods in TOW?
  8. I have been away for a few months and I am glad to hear of some of the great changes added to this game! One of the things that I wanted was woods that were thick enough to allow infantry only without tanks. You know...like heavy woods in CM that you have to arty or send in a platoon of men to clean out. Was this added or is it not in there? "Open" woods only...that is ..tanks go everywhere?
  9. In the mean time..... GWX is comming out VERY soon for all us SH-3 fans! I will be on a two month patrol.
  10. I can't find it..... Should I be able to or is it not used?
  11.   You have to learn to use a period!
  12. So no peeking out of tank hatches then. Well that is unrealistic. </font>
  13. Yeah the maps look way too open....but we talked about this before.
  14. Also......Daimyo Please give more reviews as you explore the game deeper.
  15. First I would like to thank Daimyo for his mini review. Second, as I feared, this sounds like a unrealistic tank-fest kids game. There are so many red flags in his report that I dont know where to begin. I will still give the free demo a try when it is released but unless BFC has reworked the program from top to bottom (which they dont have the time to do) then this is not going to be worth a dime to me. I hope I am wrong about this. I do know that BFC puts out quality products in the past so we shall see! [ November 10, 2006, 08:02 AM: Message edited by: Lanzfeld ]
  16. Unless you are paying by the minute. </font>
  17. How about letting us know what is on the list? We all agree that everything on the list may not be changed in the game so lets move forward under that assumption.
  18. Well now I feel dumb. Thanks for the info JonS.
  19. From the data that I have seen (well....the data in the game) it seems to me that the German 75 mm gun on the panther was a better gun then the "dreaded" 88mm fitted on the tiger. I am talking about penetration here. The tiger has better "blast" value but the panther has better penetration (AP). My question is why did they fit the king tiger with the 88mm instead of the better 75 mm? I realize that "better" is subjective but it seems the 75 would be my choice.
  20. Thanks for the BLOG Moon. Looks good but still too much of a tankfest for me. What is your take on this? Is there enough infantry action to hold anyones interest?
  21. Once again.... I am so glad there will be a demo out that I will play the crap outa before I commit to buy or not. I don't know why...but I just have a little feeling that this one is going to need a ton of fixes.
