  1. Who plans on creating new missions for the game? I do, if I find the game enjoyable enough to play, and purchase. I'm looking to recreate some of the HG Division's battles, and since the game runs the entire war, I can pick and choose from the unit's entire history. What do you guys have planned?
  2. You forgot Flags of our Fathers. Pacific theater, yes, but it's still WW2. Anything WW2 is good to fill the time until a highly anticipated WW2 game.
  3. Unfortunately for me, the video didn't thrill me that much. Hopefully the game is more fun than it looked in that video. Maybe it's just me...could be grouchy. I fully planned on buying it, but I may wait for the demo now.
  4. Online database, basically. I can't see how anyone would be annoyed at this. It seems to me the best of both worlds...some protection for the hard working devs, and flexibility for the people paying hard earned cash to get it.
  5. 88's were attached to specific army units, and the Luftwaffe was working with the army the entire war to not only engage enemy tanks, but bunkers as well. The HG Division was employed in this manner in 1940, as up to that point they were still mainly a FLAK unit.
  6. Thank you very much, that pretty much answers my question.
  7. Thanks for the try, but that doesn't tell me anything.
  8. This is a purely selfish question, as both the Luftwaffe as a whole, and the various Luftwaffe infantry units (Fallschirmjager, Luftwaffe Field Divisions, and the Fallschirm-Panzer-Korps HG) are a keen interest of mine. So, my question is what types of Luftwaffe soldiers, if any, are included in the game. In other words, can you play quick battles, or campaigns where you field Luftwaffe infantry from the various units it employed during WW2? If so, which ones, and what types are available? I know this question is a hard one, as access to the game by most is prohibited. But, if the game developers could shed any light on the subject, it would be much appreciated by me. Btw, I have high hopes for this game, as it really looks great. With Battlefront.com behind it, it's really got me interested in it, as they only push quality products.
  9. Koios and Matrix put out a game called Panzer Command: Operation Winter Storm that looks a lot like CM:BB with a limited campaign. Has anyone played that game, and how does it compare to the CM series?
  10. But the bad guys were some elements of the SS-Herman Goering Division and Germaanse SS in Nederland (the Dutch guys).</font>
  11. Good information! I have to say that I didn't even balk when I read their next game wasn't set in WW2. I figured they'd want to do something different. I might even pick this game up, just to support the devs...even though I'm not enthusiastic about a modern simulation. This game might change my mind!
  12. I own CMBO, and CMBB. I finally got around to buying CMAK...I know...I am late. Well, it's more of the same. By more of the same, I mean it's a kick ass WW2 game, that I love! Keep it coming, and thanks for being a true indie developer!
  13. I have a color picture of Generalmajor Schmalz, who commanded the HG division late in the war, and he is wearing a greenish gray jacket, although he has on a blue shirt underneath. I can scan it and post it if you want. It's odd, because I went back and re-read the section on uniforms and it states that they did wear a blue grey uniform. Would this be the same as the regular Luftwaffe blues, or a dyed variant made specifically for the HG Division? Hmm...I guess I was always wrong about this. I could have swore that they wore feldgrau...maybe it was that one picture that stuck in my mind. Field gray was used by the tank destroyer and self-propelled units. Some examples of this uniform were also dyed blue grey, as well to signify their Luftwaffe status. And, of course, the panzer units wore black. It does state that the field postal service wore Army uniforms, so I am partially correct, lol. Oh, the book is Hermann Goring: from Regiment to Fallschirmpanzerkorps. Great pictures, although none are in color. It has a great history, as well as a detailed analysis of their uniforms. Guess I just forgot it, or never realized it. Sorry Beorix, hehe. 14. Cool, just checking. I figured you were, everyone here seems to know and be able to recall every minor thing about WW2 from memory. I'm a little jealous, I'll admit, hehe. I'm nowhere near that, although I do consider the HG division a specialty of mine. Would you ever consider adding in, or have you already made the Luftwaffe camo? I have a pic of them here, on my website, 3rd picture down: http://www.angelfire.com/de3/hgpanzer/uniforms.html [ February 04, 2004, 02:46 PM: Message edited by: Dryfear ]
  15. A cool mod, but not every man in the Hermann Goring division was issued a Waffen SS smock. Only about 20% of the men received the camoflauge. @Beorix The HG Division never wore the blue uniform of the Luftwaffe Field Dvisions. [ February 04, 2004, 01:31 PM: Message edited by: Dryfear ]
