1. Check out the following thread: http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=8&t=002123 It fixed my problems (white made transparent etc).
2.
quote:
Originally posted by Mad Mobeus: Hope that clears it up for ya.

Yes! It also solved the problem on my system (Win XP, Creative Geforce2 Titanium, Detonator 23.11)! Thank you very much!
3.
quote:
Originally posted by Mad Mobeus: After I tried forcing the AA to 4X, I now have NO issues at ALL with CM in XP.

Good for you! And for us hardware iliterate, by "forcing the AA to 4x" you mean.....?
4. You just have to install 1.12, not the previous ones (IIRC)
5.
quote:
Originally posted by dfgardner: I'll second the congrats to Hawk.

Thanks! Winning the first battle gave me the luxury of taking a defensive position in Mighty Mouse. During the first two rounds of combat I got lucky and KO'ed 4 french vehicles while losing only 1 of my own. This gave me an edge which lasted the rest of the game. Things could quite easily have gone the other way, so my winning was much based on the roll of the die. Thank you Donald, for a fun and exciting game!
6. When hunting the unit will stop if engaging an enemy unit. When moving, it will try to complete the move order (unless pinned or self-preservation kicks in). At least I think that's how it works...
7. Oh joy! Another "how old are you" thread!!! I'm 32 now. If memory serves me correctly, the average age last time was 32-something.
8. Just in from the press: "Yet another glorious victory to the allied forces! In the middle of the night in the [censored] forest near [censored], a small polish unit operating behind enemy lines surprised a group of veteran German paratroopers. Losses where high on both sides, but the Polish forces managed to outmanoeuvre the Germans and slip back to their own lines." I actually took one (1) more casulty than my honourable opponent, but I started running one turn earlier....
9. "Dear Ms. Sklowbmowski! It is with regret I have to inform you that your son Mlechavi Sklowbmowski died today while valiantly fighting the Germans." Hmmm, I hope I don't have to write too many of those! Dfgardner, I am going to revenge the late young Mr. Sklowbmowski. Your troops will pay! Now, if I only could find them.....
10. Gratz! You really have managed to pass on your genes. I guess old Darvin was correct... Hope all is well with the newborn and mother (and father)!
11.
quote:
Originally posted by Michael emrys: Last time I looked at the Narvik Game map, Bodø was in Norway, a little more than halfway up the coast IIRC. Michael

Indeed! What Narvik game are you refering to?
12. Bodø, Nordland (ok, Nordland is a county or shire, not a state). 10 points to anyone who finds out which country (without checking my profile!) Hawk
13. Can someone point me to some online resources for facts & figures about WW2 arms production? I'm particulary looking for info about how long it took (in general) to produce the various weapon types (small arms, armor, aircrafts, ships etc). Thanks! Hawk
14. No, that is unfortuntely not possible. Cocat use predefined maps (which can be GIF, JPG or BMP files). CM maps are ... something else (i.e. hardcoded CM format). But if you have a nice map, I'll be happy to make a special Cocat version for you. Pål
15. All well and good, but how the [beeep] does a muzzle break actually work? How do you trap the gas and not the projectile? Is it because the gas wants to expand in all directions? Hawk ------------------ Our's is not to reason why, our's is but to do and die!
16. Hmmmm, well since it's my program I guess I should throw in a bump as well! Hawk ------------------ Our's is not to reason why, our's is but to do and die!
17. Thanks for the feedback! Ok, let's see.... The maps are GIF files in the version at CMMC HQ. In the new version (probably awailable in a few days, check the CMMC HQ) I use JPG. BMP is also possible. Actually, Cocat is my second version. I first made a tool called Cogat, but learned so much Visual Basic in the process that I decided to scratch it and start over again. So far, I've probably used 200+ hours (since October last year). I changed the name since CoGAT actually is a registrated trademark. Is computer WIF with AI? Last time I checked it was meant as a pbem utility without AI, but this could be something completely different, of course. 18. In order to help the GMs run CMMC, I am developing a tool called Cocat (Combat Mission Campaign Tool). The current version can be found here: http://www.combatmission.com/CMMC/Vault/cocat/cocat.htm This has the map for the CPX (a CMMC test-run), but the new CMMC version has a much bigger map, and will be released to the public soon. I can also tailor-make a version especially for you, if you supply the map! Hawk ------------------ Our's is not to reason why, our's is but to do and die!
19. In case someone here who isn't part of the CMMC or CPX use Cocat, I thought I should put an update here. The latest version of Cocat can be found on CMMC HQ, Cocat section You'll also find a brief description of the lates changes there. Regards, Hawk ------------------ Our's is not to reason why, our's is but to do and die!
20. Well yes, I still play with my little soldiers. Only now they'r made of metal (pewter?), are painstakingly painted and mounted on small metal bases. I don't think I'll ever grow up.... at least my wife doesn't believe I will! Hawk ------------------ Our's is not to reason why, our's is but to do and die!
21. The editor walked into his office and sat down at the desk. "Hmmm... what's this?" he thought while adjusting the glases on his nose. "A memo from the guys in the legal department. Ok, let se....Forward Observer...bla bla bla...another site...". He picks up the phone and dials. "This is the editor, let me talk to whoever is in charge at the moment". "Hi, yes I saw your note. No, I don't think there's problem. I'll get in touch with this guy and we'll sort it out. Yes. Thank you, you too!" No problem SuperTed! Perhaps you could say somewhere on the frontpage of your fine site that it isn't affiliated with "The Forward Observer"? Regards, Pål ------------------ Our's is not to reason why, our's is but to do and die! [This message has been edited by Hawk (edited 02-20-2001).]
22. The link works now. Pål (Cocat's "dad") ------------------ Our's is not to reason why, our's is but to do and die!
23. Inspecting the remains of an old German Flak battery near my hometown Bodö. ------------------ Our's is not to reason why, our's is but to do and die!
