  1. Hpt. Lisse, I multiplayer each player gets to choose their icon color. Love, Elvis
  2. I'm not much of a scenario maker but from what I have seen the editor is VERY powerful.
  3. franz, I would be willing to bet that much more than 90% of the people who preordered do understand and are not complaining. I would even go so far as to say that over 99% understand and are not complaining. That is what makes the style of complaints that you and dez1 are making so annoying. If it is your goal to annoy then you did a fine job and I don't even work for BFC. It is one thing to be unhappy and point out your disappointment it is a completely other thing to imply things like they haven't been working on it or caring because they are just sitting back counting the thousands rolling in or "point of law" "binding contract" silliness. Enough already. If someone told you when you preordered that it would be out the 25th or 21st or 30th or May 1st would have not ordered because you needed it by the 18th or 19th? Of course not. I would assume there were more than a thousand preorders (I have no idea or access but I think we would all be surprised if there were less) which means 1% complainers would be about 10. Pretty much the number of complainers I am seeing. And that is using conservative numbers. So do yourself and the other 99% of us a favor and just go pay the demo for while. Have some fun with it. Learn the ins and outs of the game. Put your energy there. Love, Elvis
  4. Hi actrade, It shouldn't matter but which battle? I just opened the first and it worked perfectly. If you were on a different one I will try that to double check although if it works for one it should work for all. Elvis
  5. Well, that goes without saying with this lot. These types are the ones who made that move famous. Put "hookers and blow" on the map. Especially rune.
  6. gunnersman, I was wondering if you were gonna show up at this party.
  7. dez1, does this mean you will finally go to bed?
  8. Dear franz, How did I not see their fiendish plan before. By creating just enough of a game to make a "demo" and post a few "in game" movies they can rack up thousands ...maybe even millions... of preorder greenbacks. Sitting in their lair clicking refresh like monkeys wastching the money pile up, smoking cheap cigars and drinking Jim Beam. I've seem photos of Moon and Matt and can picture them doing that all of last night....They have that "look" about them if you know what I mean. Not since the great Underwear Gnome, scheme that was exposed on South Park, has such a devious plot been unleashed on poor unsuspecting good folks like you and I. Love, Elvis
  9. When you start going through a campaign and bringing units forward and playing in different weather and totally different types of engagements you'll start to really see the depth of the game. Some battles have a massively cool "neat factor". Sometimes it's apparent as soon as the battles launches and sometimes as you are going through it.
  10. I have found BFC to be VERY responsive to this type of thing in the past. If you email toone of the addresses Moon posted I'm sure you'll get a reply.
  11. I have had a Nashorn survie longer on that hill than I've ever kept one alive in CM.
  12. AMD 2.4ghz 1 gig ram GeForce 6100 Runs great. Sometimes notice slight lag when reinforcements arrive but not every time and it doesn't last more than a couple of seconds.
  13. I do fairly well with using grenades on approaching tanks. And here's what I do...When you click on an infantry unit that has grenade select the grenade. You will then getthe coneshape showing you the range of the grenade. The moment the tank enters that range target it. It's loads of fun and edge of the seat suspense. It does not always work. As a matter of fact it may only work 25% of the time. But if you have 2 or 3 or 4 guys in the area and have them all do it that tank is toast. I am sure the AI would throw the grenades itself but by telling the unit to do it at a specific moment you remove any chance that it won't.
  14. Damn, I had forgotten about that. You can select squads by clicking one button.
  15. I think I understand what crazy is saying about the LOS and spotting and I think his concern stems from a misunderstanding of the whole spotting system. I will lay it out and hopefully it will explain to him what he is seeing when he plays the game. There are 3 levels of sighting. "Nobody can see the enemy unit", "other friendly units can but the selected one can't" and "the selected has direct LOS to enemy unit". Let's say you have a squad walking down the road and someonespots and enemy unit. When you select a friendly unit the enemy icon will be solid if the select friendly unit has an LOS or it will be translucent and that will tell you the selected friendly unit has no LOS but another friendly unit does. Then let's say the enemy units disappears completely as you describe. What that means is the enemy unit is no longer in the LOS of ANY friendly unit.It is a dynamic spotting system. Once an enemy unit is spotted it does no remain spotted forever. It only remains spotted as long as it is in the LOS of a friendly unit. If during the heat of battle you can't figure out which friendly unit(s) have the LOS pause the game and click on each of your friendlyunits to determine which have the LOS and use that information if you want other friendly units to be moved to apsoition where they also have LOS. Hope this is helpful....
  16. Although I do like the shift-click idea toselecta squad. I get trigger happy sometimes and triple click and end up back witha single unit.
  17. The camera contros not feeling right takes VERY little time to make right for you. I change the left/right camera rotating to A and S. Other than that they feel natural to me. Locating and changing you place on teh map is even easier. The small overview map in the bottom left shows where you are and the field of vision. Simply clicking on that will move your view to the spot you want. I believe the vehicle pathfinding problem sounds like it is more related to the camera angle when you set the path and real/continuous time. I have thought that I ordered things along the right path because from the angle I am viewng the battlefield at a quick glance it looks right. However once I rotate the camera I see that may have been off a little. Which brings me to the realtime part, I would not have let me truck continue to drive through trees. I would have ordered it to drive back onto the road and continued down the right path once it got there there. Once you order something to move that order is canceled if you issue it a new order so you are not stuck driving your truck through the woods unless you want to drive your truck through the woods. The framerate is another issue all together. Only advise I can give about that is to make sure you have the latest drivers. For you it would seem that is the deal breaker because the other things you didn't like are just unfamiliarity with the game engine.
  18. Looks like you do as well in this battle as I do.
