That is one weird engagement.  First off it appears that the RA are out of RPGs or any effective AT really.  Also was that the tank coax hitting those trees or were those air burst from something else (maybe the tank had frag loaded in its launchers?).
Problem with AT mines is you have to mine the front of that entire wood line…that is a lot of mines.  
Seriously bizarre, the UAS must have been the determining factor.  Whoever was flying it could probably see the RA lacked AT.

1 year of the war is passed. From the start of the invasion and to the huge count of air and missile strikes. One of my friends has been killed by wagner artillery in Bohorodichne village near Bakhumt. My father-in-law has been killed by storming the defensive enemy positions in the Kherson region 1st of October. I gave 3 of my salaries (all what I have)on the first day of the war on the military budget. Thanks to all of you, thanks for your help. Taking carry of our refugees, helping our soldiers to destroy enemy forces with AT weapons, artillery, APS, AFV, and Tanks, peoples who served in foreign legions. Thank you for giving billions of money to support our economy. Special thanks to battlefront for small support for me, when I asked about a discount, they gave me 2 games with all DLCs for free - I didn't expect this. Some of my relatives were in Kherson in occupation, and all high-value electronic and expensive things were looted from them by Russian forces. And now we don't fear rocket strikes (10 times they exploded 700-1000m from my house) we don't fear nuclear threat, we don't fear the second army in the world and you shouldnt. Sorry for we English would that what I want to say for all of you, I can tell you many things about the war but first i will try to improve my language knowlages.

I am very much enjoying Prigozhin whining about ammo shortages.
Last few months he was dunking on the Russian armed forces harder than most people in this thread. But the Prig forgot that the people in this thread aren't drawing their ammunition directly from Russian army stocks. Whoops!

There are also forces in China which are for cooperation. They have not yet commited to helping Russia (see the post above about the Chinese visit to Moscow) or invading Taiwan. 
I agree we should be prepared but keeping our powder dry also means not pressuring China into a confrontation ourselves. Just like in the cold war, direct conflict is not inevitable.

Amazing video with a lot of details: 91st Operational Support Regiment don't have any armor actually and successfully destroying armoured columns.
It showcase one more time, that nobody should trust russians: after air attack on military barracks, they attack medical unit after short period of time like real terrorists.

At around 4:01, it doesn't appear to be there any more even though moments before he was firing it and the pistol grip could be seen right in front of the camera.
 

It's right there at the very start, suppressing the trench, according to large, two sided flares - probably BMP2. And the guy most likely hits it too - because it stops firing.

Some proof that this doesn't only feature in CM 😉

 

Sharing a whole continent with only two other countries while having a population more than twice as large as the other two combined does tend to make life simpler. Although the other two might feel different about the situation.
The last two times we tried to make the political situation on the European continent simpler, the USA were instrumental in preventing that. Please make up your mind about what you want. 😉

As much as it upsets me that the AFU still has to use civilian vehicles. I just love the enthusiasm shown by the Baltic nations for helping Ukraine during this crisis.

Near Kreminna. According to a quick google search Russia owns ~ 10 of these in total, although Ive never seen more than 3 in Ukraine but they appear quite capable.

Watching the recent footage like the ghoul I am, I am deffo seeing an up-tick in good vehicles. T-80BM's, BMP-3s. Famously the Terminators a while ago, too. And more frequently bigger groups of them then typical. So I would concur, from my very limit view, the attack is already underway to a degree. Presumably in the hopes of turning the Ukrainians out of their main lines before the B team shows up to push the "lesser" defensive lines further back.
 
As for the much vaunted 150k+ Russian troops about to wade into battle: additional troops do not an additional army make. What craptastic artillery, tanks, APCs etc will they be issued with? If the Russians can magic actual complete fighting formations together, that's great but whose artillery ammo will they be firing? From all the whining about lack of artillery support from the Russians currently in the line, they might be disinclined to share what they have.
I predict a very small  period where these reserves might make an impact, before they fizzle out.  I cannot imagine them having the staying power for a prolonged offensive. I'd be amazed if they had the logistics and cadre for anything more then a week or two.
 
I am a bit baffled about the expected timing of the big Russian push. We all saw what happened last year. Putin is almost certainly insisting on a result at the earliest opportunity. But by doing so he's reducing the chances of a result he might like.

This one I challenge.  How exactly?  It has definitely made people’s lives harder but what military or political objectives has it achieved?  Is Ukrainian morale about to collapse?  Has it hindered or damaged the UAs warfighting capability?  Has it slowed or stopped the flow of western support to the UA?  Has it set operational conditions in any sector for the RA to take back the offensive initiative?  Has it dislocated or disrupted a planned UA offensive?
What has this infrastructure campaign actually achieved? And based on numbers being thrown around it maybe Russia’s last.  If Russia had concentrated all its operational and strategic strike on electricity, communications and transportation in the first month of the war, specifically targeting the UAs ability to operationally project and sustain - that is effective and dangerous.  Instead they have been wasting thousands of missiles on terror strikes, and now they finally land on electricity but it is too late and too disconnected.  There opponent has already hardened and dug in both physically and mentally.  This last campaign still lacks any linkages to military objectives as far as I can tell, and it is at cost the RA will be unable to recover from.
It is stuff like this that really makes me wonder where some of these guys are coming from.

Russian MoD claimed their troops captured village Dorozhnianka in Zaporizhzhia oblast. There are no visual confirmations yet, but some unconfirment RUMINT from UKR side tell this is true. As if two platoon strongpoints couldn't repell attack of reinforced company and next UKR counter-attack was unsuccessful. Dorozhnianka already was captured by Russsian in March, but since mid of May was recaptured by UKR forces. This is last village on the way to one of strongholds of UKR on Zaporizhzhia direction - Huliaypole town.
