  1. Joebob , You know what they say, those that can make scenarios, do, those that can't, play, those that can do neither...being Justiciars. Joebob, why would ANYONE listen to you? You moved from texas to utah for berli's sake. You know Morman wives! You travel in you job to exotic location like Ohio, and Minnesota. Heck, you even made Boo your Barney Fife. Anyway, for those of you with a brain cell still alive, unlike those in House Shavian , I actually have three in testing. The one I am offering to Peng, another with a hasty German Defense south of Rome, and a scenario featuring Col. Frost and his misadventures in Tunisia. May they cause you to take Berli's name in vain. Rune
  2. Not to argure with the Prime Evil Berli , but I am forced to. NONE are as truly challenged as Peng. To prove my point, peng you manificent waste of Pod space, I know you are out there, lurking, peeking into The Mutha beautiful Thread like Arty Johnson as the German Soldier in Laugh In. [if you don't know, ask Boo, he is old]. I hearby call you out to... Play an Evil rune Scenario against your faithful wanking sidekick, Elvis. . I have it ready to go, just give the word and it shall be in your mail box. It is of medium size, features crunchies, things that go boom, fast things that go boom, more crunchies, and a couple bridges. It is a remake in CMAK of a scenario from CMBO that had gotten good reviews. So, if you can drag yourself away from the bottle long enough to type a complete sentence, let me know. Faithful sidekick Elvis, if you liege is in his natural state [whatever that may be], let him know that a scenario awaits yours and his playing. Rune
  3. Guys, the manual stays in, stays in pdf format since it would cost more to make a paper manual. Also, remember, there are a LOT of first time buyers out there that need a manual and many people here read the manual. They are considering cloneing Charles, so one can work on CMX2 while the other codes patches. However, the cost of jars to sustain an additional brain may put this out of reach also. Rune
  4. There is no King Tiger in the patch, Moon just meant the first draft of the patch is in beta testers hands. Rune
  5. Won't happen. By allowing you to change the units terrain, graphics, we would still see a glob of cheap knock offs, with no income. BFC is not Valve as someone correctly pointed out. Also by allowing mods to the data. how soon would it be before cheating occured int he online play? Look at what happened to Microsoft Combat Simulators for a good example. It will be more easily modifiable for BFC to make changes, instead of the time consuming process it is now. Rune
  6. then Rune sends you a HUGE scenario hot off the presses, just because he thinks you are as useful as Billy Beer. Look for it in your email box later tonight. Rune
  7. Well, if you read the faq, it is the ATI driver that is the problem. The same card in the Mac has fog, they just didn't include it in the ATI driver for the PC. Nvidia does. Serious guy, ask ATI Rune
  8. Some information I found on the gunner's sight from afvinteriors website. Here is some information I found on the gunner's sight. A close-up photo from the German sight training manual shows most of the major components of the Sfl.ZF 1/1A direct fire sight. At the bottom of the sight is the Zieleinrichtung 37 (Z.E.37) sight bracket with cross leveling, deflection, and range adjustments. Notice the three ranging rings mentioned earlier for the different ammo types, with a pointer that indicated the elevation on the scale for each shell. Each ring has numbers printed in different colors that correspond to the different types of ammo. Once the commander called out the approximate range and ammo type, the gunner elevated the gun until the pointer touched the correct range number for the ammo ordered and then traversed the gun onto target, usually doing both actions simultaneously with both hand wheels. To the left of the range rings is the monocular for the periscope and below that the adjusting knob for side tilt. Up above the rings is a small bubble level gauge (determines tilt or cant) and above the sight is a slightly inclined knob that tightens the telescope in its mount. Sights were typically painted black or field green in most German vehicles in WWII and stored carefully in padded cases generally mounted near the gunner's location in the AFV. German optics were some of the best in the world at this time--clear from edge to edge, bubble free and very accurate--and therefore carefully studied by both Soviet and western powers when captured vehicles and equipment became available to intelligence units. So the commander called out the apporx range and ammo type, which the gunner fed into the sight. trying to find out more ont he commander's sight. Rune
  9. Not being an expert, will still ask, but from a meter, to what in that picture, a couple cms at most? however, do those binoculars in the Hetzer scissors out? Rune
  10. Boo, Let me type s-l-o-w-e-r for you. Having Joebob made into Soylent green would be bad how? True, whoever got him would have stomach problems to no end, hence I would rather just do a Logan's Run on him, or maybe make him into the Running man, but at his age, it would be more like the Walker man. Oh that is right, you are almost as old as dirt too. Maybe that is why you got confused? Rune
  11. Andrew hedges brings up a good point, youi need a meter separation at the top of the scissors for good range finding. Can the set in the hetzer do that, it doesn't look like it, but who knows for sure? Rune
  12. Mister Picky wants to point out that is the Swiss version of the Hetzer and slightly different then the German one. Not sure they all had the scissors sscope, the 3 others I had been in, did NOT have them. HOWEVER, since they are all 60 years old, it could be they couldn't find the scopes to put in the rebuild. Rune Edited, I found this: Commander could observe the battlefield using periscopic binoculars, through an open hatch in the roof but overall, his field of view was limited. Found more: The hetzer used the SflZF1a site, which "It is a monocular 5X sight with an eight degree field of view and allows both indirect and direct firing solutions." 13. I want to point out, the no sooner did I point out that Boo is a grog, [he tried to get me into a conversation on the track thickness of the Panzer IIIG, I didn't enter the conversation], none other then Grog Dorosh appears. Coincidence? I think not... Just as the Mutha beautiful Thread's women go to the bathroom in pairs [i believe it is the law in the US], grogs travel in pairs. I expect at any time Boo will start whining about the patch for CMAK. No, I mean whine more then normal, of course he is always whining...can't even play a simple evil scenario. Hmm...a DaveH want-a-be? I blame Joebob, promoting Boo to be the Barney Fife of the thread. I think we should pull a Logan's Run on Joebob, shoot him high in the air for everyone to take a shot at. Rune
  14. Nidan1 and Boo, Check your email, it should be shreaking in pain from the scenario I sent to you. May it cause you much intense pain.... Rune
  15. Boo, No, I wish I had the tequila, of in the middle of 2, count 'em two, microsoft upggrades that failed, and the hospitals called me to support their failed upgrades. Ummm... no I don't work for Microsoft but thanks for playing.... Yes, you are correct, perhaps I am confusing you with Emrys, or perhaps not. Both old, check, both grogs, check, both lost to the AI, check, both should have Seanachai as a mortal enemy, check. I see no difference. Aged mother, is this a reference to the bottle of old Turkey that was involved in your creation? We all know pod people don't have mothers, although you are frequently referenced as a mother. So it is written, so it is done, look for the scenario this afternoon. Rune
  16. This is NOT Boo, this is an evil Pod person.....oh wait, Peng started the whole pod people thing, with his being born in a cabbage patch.... so therefore, Peng and Boo are one and the same? Clones perhaps? Seanachai, you evil little gnome. I blame YOU for this. I tried to make Boo your mortal enema...errr...enemy, and you failed. Wasn't this Boo of the "I don't play people, I lose enough to the AI" fame? Now he lowers himself to play v42? Oh wait, perhaps he is going to have V42 send a setup, then just never reply? Hmm....I like that idea. Anyway, Boo I have a scenario hot off the presses, it features Pommies, and airfield, more Pommies, Colonel Frost, things that go boom, things that go rat-a-tat, and more Pommies. Oh yeah, it happens in Tunisia. Interested???? Rune Commander Army of the Porcupine Holder of the Scroll of NDA Unaware that we have women here? Your sig says you're squire to the Queen. Short term memory shot or are you just cruising for a beheading...big and small? You're an amusing little fellow, for all that you're an ill conceived odor of a person. Why don't you send me a set up. CMAK, unless you haven't been able to collect enough discarded aluminum cans to buy yourself a copy yet. </font>
  17. DaveT, that be the beast, have matt inside and all sorts of people looking out the cupola. Rune
  18. I have pictures from the inside of a hetzer, with madmatt in it. Will see if i can get them posted someplace. Anyone got room? Rune
  19. Will do, but the card comes out of the box overclocked. Rune
  20. Snarker, You blithering idiot. Send me some of that beer, or by noon tomorrow I will have no choice but to send you a scenario. It features: Pommie paratroops An Airfield in Tunisia things that go rat-a-tat things that go boom. more things that go boom. Failure to acknowledge the beer is on the way will result with this scenario in your mailbox tomorrow. To torture you even more, you must play.... Hmm... Watson and his cricket, or DaveH. 21. Yep, I have a book with the exact layout of the fort. Even the trenches are set the way they were. As shown above, people have won the battle as the Allies. Not an easy thing to do, and in real life it wasn't. It was why the british by-passed the forts and went overland. However, they could not leave this thorn in their side, and the forts had to be taken. I'll double check the tanks when I get home. Rune
  22. Actually I show they didn't see any action til March 1st, and not in feb. From www.actungpanzer.com: After modernization, 48 Elephants were grouped into schwere Heeres Panzerjager Abteilung 653 and part of it was transferred to Italy in late February of 1944. They arrived in Rome by train via Salzburg, Innsbruck, the Brenner Pass , Trento and Florence on February 24th of 1944. They saw combat at Nettuno, Anzio and Cisterna as early as March 1st of 1944. sPzJagAbt 654 was moved to France in late 1943 and rearmed with Jagdpanthers. In April of 1944, part of sPzJagAbt 653 was transferred back to the Eastern Front. In Autumn of 1944, all existing Elephants were grouped into newly created unit - schwere Heeres Panzerjager Kompanie 614, sPzJagAbt 653 was re-equipped with Jagdtigers. sPzJagAbt 614 with some 13-14 vehicles saw service on the Eastern Front as late as early 1945 and eventually all remaining (4?) Elephants saw final service with Kampfgruppe "Ritter" in area of Zossen (south of Berlin) in mid April of 1945. When employed defensively in Italy and Russia, Elephants proved to be formidable opponents. As of January 1st of 1945, there were still 4 Elephants in service of which some took part in the defence of Berlin as part of Kampfgruppe Ritter. Will see if I can get it moved a Month. Rune
  23. Please don't say Bangkok around Dalem and Seanachai, as it gives them ideas. Who is up for a bit of testing. It features Pommies, an airfield, more Pommies, and things that go boom. Let me know... Rune
