  1. I probably enjoy company sized engagements the most. I just find it easier to wrap my head around that level in terms of tactics and attention given to each unit. Any good ones at that level in RT?
  2. Also, I've been a BF customer for a good many years. In fact, it's a bit scary to think I've grown so goddamn old (36!) and still keep their games on my hard drive. They have provided me with years of entertainment and I've lapped up all CM-releases bar Fortress Italy since I'm not really interested in the Italian campaign. What I've learnt during these years is that BF is really passionate about what they do, and I support their efforts. I trust them to come up with a solution that suits the way they want to work (and that they feel will benefit the community). If they swing and miss for some reason, I know they will fix or do somfink about it.
  3. Really? I can see how Italy would be a hard sell, but the Eastern front? Is this an US thing as in no US troops on the Eastern front, hence lower interest in that theater? Just look at all the possible scenarios and campaigns available for that part of the war and I would imagine there would be sufficient interest from a very large group of people. Live and learn I guess.
  4. Oh... Thankfully I can always rely on sharper knives in the drawer. So thanks!
  5. You guys are having me on, right? I mean the link to the films are impossible to find.
  6. Downloaded The Outlaws. Will give it a go later tonight.
  7. Looking for more of the same myself. Or smaller armour formations would also do. I just don't get along well with the larger scenarios. Too many troops, too little brainpower.
  8. Download or install WinRar or 7Zip and double click the file jst as you would a normal .zip-file.
  9. I've seen this too. Quite often in fact. Last time it happened I had split of recon teams from two squads, and one re-joined happily while the other refused. It remained detached from its parent squad for the remainder of the scenario. I need to go back and check if there was some sort of visible state differences between the squad that refused a re-join and the one that didn't.
  10. For those of you with Kindles or Kindle apps, check out "No Better Place to Die". It's about the 82:nd AB and the small unit actions fought around St Mere Eglise, especially at the La Fière bridge and causeway. Best of all it is free om Amazon.com! Get it here!
  11. Sorry, that would be "No Better Place to Die".
  12. hm_stanley, will give it a look, thanks! Looking for some campaigns as well, but I suppose it might be slightly early days yet. mjkerner, excellent news! Started re-reading "A Good Place to Die" after CM:BN was released and it got me in the mood for a scenario or campaign based on the events. Looking forward to both efforts! I'll keep an eye out for sure.
  13. Any more campaigns out there such as the field marshalls excellent airborne campaign? I love the smaller scale and not having to struggle with battallion sized units? Looked through the repo real quick but only found FMB's campaign. Also, for you scenario designers, a scenario or maybe even a short campaign focusing on the La Fière fighting would be awesome.
  14. Haven't been much of a talker, but feels like I've been here for ever. And so many old, well known names popping up in here.
  15. I've got Zetterling's book in the basement. Will have to look it up when I get home.
  16. I find the discussion intriguing and the mere fact that the discussion is even happening speaks volumes of the qualities of this game. But the "Meal time position"? Really? It sounds utterly ridiculous and makes the Tiger sound like a pussy cat. How the hell did they arrive at such a name?
  17. Saw that it was available for $38 on Kindle store which is tempting.
  18. Awesome, many thanks! Need to get some more books from the looks of your overview... Too bad not many of the are available on the Kindle.
  19. Any links to info on what happened to the 2/155th? Don't recall this incident out of memory.
  20. Great job FMB! Really fun campaign and I can see myself going through this again. Feel free to make more just like this one! Difficulty was spot on since I felt this was more about the story elements and making choices. Thanks!
  21. Getting myself an iPad2 tomorrow, so I'll have to try this out. Or I might just settle for having the manual up on pad.
  22. Yes they did. And they performed pretty well as far as I can recall.
  23. I've had some non-instant hits with armour spalling and ricochets so it definitely does happen. I like the duels I've seen between Sherman's and Mark IV's so far in terms of feel and intensity.
  24. This: And this: Makes me very confused. Could you please make up your minds?
