  1. I have my CMBN updated to 2.01 I see that the Commonwealth module in the store is for version 1.0 Can I still install it over my version? Is there an issue here? Thanks
  2. It is defaulted to not allowing you to install apps unless you download it from the store. You can work around it. But that's pretty much the definition of default. And it only applies to the installation, not to running the program after installation. You are not digging around and configuring deep in your system like a windows computer. Your are merely selecting a preference in your general preference selections. It's just a matter of what level nannying you want your computer to be doing for you. BTW game looks unbelievable with everything pushed to max on a retina. Smooth as butter, too!
  3. Mountain Lion security defaults to only allowing you to open apps downloaded from the Apple Store. To change to allow you to open any app you download (including CM:FI) go to: System Preferences>Security & Privacy>and check ALLOW APPLICATIONS DOWNLOADED FROM ANYWHERE.
  4. Hi, I'm a high school teacher on summer break, so I have time available. Would prefer to use DROPBOX to transfer files - seems to work pretty snazzy! Please contact me at elric@homerocker.com if interested. Eric
  5. I have an early 2009 Macbook 2.13 GHz Intel Core Duo with 4 GB of 800 MHz Ram, NVidia GEFORCE 9400M Graphics, and the game runs fine, but the colors on the laptops screen are a little washed when compared to running the game using an external monitor, where the colors and vibrancy are a revelation!
  6. My bazooka guys do this sometimes too after given a target order on an armored vehicle.
  7. Rumor has it, the company that created splashtop program I use is experimenting with making their program work over over the internet and 3g/4g...
  8. The splashtop app still allows you to access the ipad keyboard in game. If you look at the first screenshot you will see a mini-keyboard icon in the lower right corner. Touch this and it brings up a keyboard that takes up half the screen allowing you to use keyboard commands. Like I said it's all clunky, but it works.
  9. I was able to play CM:BN on my Ipad 2 Albeit the controls were very awkward, the motion was definitetly like that on a low-end of the usable scale computer, and the sound had a tendency to cut in and out. Bug? =) Oh, and you had to have your computer up and running on a wifi network. Otherwise, it worked fine. I used this remote desktop app www.splashtop.com
  10. I am glad you welcome me but, how can I join if I have no sponsor?
  11. No. The version number on the patch seems to be lower than my downloaded game version - do I need to install it? The game doesnt seem to have any of the extra campaigns or anything in ith that the patch said it had.
  12. Hi I downloaded the game and mission pack from BATTLEFRONT site yesterday. I can load the game fine, but after I add the mission pack the game will no longer load when I try to start it. I have installed/unisnstalled three times and redownloaded the mission pack twice. Any hints? I dont know if this helps, but two of the icons the mission pack puts on my main screen are just your basic windows graphics - no special icon.
  13. Hi I just downloaded the game from BATTLEFRONT site yesterday. Do i need the patch? I notice the game version number is higher than the patch number. Thanks Eric
  14. It seems these two excellent additions to the war gaming/simming community from small developers intent on quality have both been sweeping their respective categories in the usual end of year awards from the major gaming mags and web sites I'm glad the high profile rags and such recognize quality and commitment and a love of the genre over big names and fancy graphics and huge teams and budgets You go people!
