*URGENT* Potential flaw found on vBulletin forums

Recommended Posts

This bug was found in a specific version of vB, and we're not using that version. Moreover, it's been already fixed yesterday (and we have been alerted by vB directly as well of both the vulnerability and fix via the usual subscriber newsletter). But thanks anyway for pointing it out.

We've avoided upgrading for a while now because we have a lot of custom code and modules that would have to be redone. Plus, a couple of their updates were... well... not the best they've ever put out :) This version seems to be pretty solid, still, therefore we'll likely keep it until either it is compromised or vB introduces some new feature we feel is worth the pain of upgrading.
