The Peng Challenge Thread Sings For It's Supper

Recommended Posts

But the Smiley Joe used epitomizes Maynard's deep-seated hatred for work. Indeed, it was a four letter word to Krebs.

Well... it's a four letter word to ANYBODY really and not in the emotional sense. I mean, it contains four letters, so... well...

(Listens as all he can hear is the chirruping of a few crickets...)

Um... am I being pedantic again?

Oh, bite me! And where's my turn? I feel the need to pummel you with puny 20mm cannon fire!

For once ... and likely enough for the last time ... Boo Radley has it exactly correct.

Nothing else would have done Peng to express the word they way Maynard said it.

It is, in other words ... the exception that proves the rule!

Except to actually express the words the way Maynard said it rather than use the crutch of the intellectual lazy or intellectual lacking. It is a short hop from using smilies to using netspeak. Soon we will see Joe spelling 'you' as 'u'. Shortly after that, what is left of his senile brain will leak out of his ears. Not necessarily a bad thing, mind.

Berli you can count on the fingers of one hand the numbers of times I've used smilies here. But in this case ... NOTHING ELSE WOULD DO!

How else to capture the elusive pathos, the consummate acting skill and subtle inflections of a trained professional like the late, great Bob Denver.

Time for a sing song...

All around me are familiar faces

worn out places, worn out faces

Bright and early for the daily races

Going nowhere, going nowhere

Their tears are filling up their glasses

No expression, no expression

Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow

No tomorrow, no tomorrow

And I find it kind of funny

I find it kind of sad

The dreams in which I'm dying

Are the best I've ever had

I find it hard to tell you

I find it hard to take

When people run in circles

It's a very very, mad world, mad world

Children waiting for the day they feel good

Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday

And I feel the way that every child should

Sit and listen, sit and listen

Went to school and I was very nervous

No one knew me, no one knew me

Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson

Look right through me, look right through me

And I find it kind of funny

I find it kind of sad

The dreams in which I'm dying

Are the best I've ever had

I find it hard to tell you

I find it hard to take

When people run in circles

It's a very very, mad world, mad world

Enlarging your world, mad world

Gary Jules........

Had a weird vision today. Saw Lawson's name, and then the lines that form it began to swirl and morph. Eventually they reformed into something recognizable...

Gaylord

Hope the vision didn't happen just after a meal, 'cause the food wouldn't taste as good coming up as it did going down.

Lawson == Gaylord? The deuce you say. I thought it was some fictional she-male, cat-dog, crocoduck, platypussy, platonic, zorconic, hydroponic, fuel-injected, tomato-brained, hyphenated thing. My gaydar didn't go off at all. Maybe it needs to be recalibrated. Usually I can spot a Gaylord a halfaclickaway. Piscataway? It's thataway! OK!

In the day we sweat it out in the streets of a runaway American dream

At night we ride through mansions of glory in suicide machines

Sprung from cages out on highway 9,

Chrome wheeled, fuel injected and steppin out over the line

Baby this town rips the bones from your back

Its a death trap, its a suicide rap
