Dirtweasle
Why guess it was photoshopped onto "real" backgrounds? Moon wrote - Check out a few quick drafts which Dan made using all in-game modelsSo unless there is some other information I missed, I'm thinking it is as Moon stated.
PseudoSimonds
I took that to mean in-game soldier models. The backgrounds look photorealistic. Not even GRAW looks that good. Not that I'd be complaining if I'm wrong. Even the soldier models by themselves are pretty sweet.
vetacon
Incredible. 9 months ago this sort of new information would have generated page after page of posts to this thread. Now barely a murmur ...
MikeyD
Maybe this will help spur debate: It looks as good as any FPS I've seen. I recall BFC said they couldn't 'do' ethnic groups in CMx1 because the faces were random and the necks & hands were part of the common uniform set. I wonder if in CMx2 we're going to be able to get us a mix that "looks like America" this time. We basically just wanted to see if the concept would look good enough and we got good results! Originally posted by Pvt. Ryan: Dorosh should be around shortly to find errors in the uniforms. Bring it on Hehe actually there could be a few tweaks needed as its a new uniform and they have gone through various changes since the inital batch. For instance I notice they are now wearing their valcro name tags on the outside of their vests, but overall I think we are very close even at this stage. Nick Carter
What software are you guys using to make the models? Ever since I got into 3D modelling (with Rhino) I've wanted to ask...
MikeyD
Oh God, they told us what their fancy new 3-D modeling progam was a looooong time ago. Even before they started the dedicated CMSF board. Even doing a search might not turn it up.
