MikeyD
I'm suprised nobody's bothered to link to this old screenshot yet:
Battlefront.com
Yeah, that was a sweet experience for me. It was the first time I had used the Support UI and the first time I saw the virtual FDC correctly lob HE with proximity fuzes to get airbursts over trenches. The units there were not as happy as I was about it Steve
MikeyD
Oh, and to add to the sandbag debate note the window to the left of the ACAV M113A3 (borrowed from someone else's site). And let's not forget somebody's old request for AC unit doodads for the buildings!

John Kettler
No, but it might be individually rendered and tracked shell or mortar bomb fragments! On a lighter note, there are some great inadvertent howlers here, such as the flash bag (wasted crone exposing nether regions (shudders based on unfortunate RL sighting)) and damning the soil ("I curse thee, soil! From now until the end of eternity nothing shall grow upon thee!) to name but a few. OTOH, the trench occupants in the screenshot could also be described as blighted. Lest anyone take umbrage from my kidding, all kinds of stuff escapes my filters when posting while insomniac. Returning to serious matters, I'm glad that we'll be able to have slit trenches and such, though I didn't realize including them would be such a major issue as to be only available in the map editor. Camouflage screens would've been very cool visuals for both sides, but I do take Steve's point. Regards, John Kettler
Splinty
The world keeps getting smaller. The shot of the M113s is at Camp Rustamiyah Iraq, I pass that spot every day on the way to the chow hall.

kawaiku
Have some pictures of Barbed wire in use: This might be of interest since you guys have talked about bunkers and roadblocks:
Gpig
That last picture is pretty amazing. You can see where the car bomb (or whatever) went off right in front of the U.S. position. Huge crater. Thrown barriers. Mangled machinery. Downed power lines. Blackened walls . . . freaky.
John Kettler
Gpig, Excellent point! Looks as though it blew sideways the upper part of the bunker or whatever it is. Thank goodness that VBIED was stopped! Regards, John Kettler
kawaiku
I have a TON of pictures if any of you guys wanna check 'em out. I got most if not all of these from another website. If the link doesn't work or somethin then I'll see what I can do. If it does then enjoy: http://s109.photobucket.com/albums/n73/kawaiku/US%20Military/ P.S. And if for some reason any offend you(I don't know why they would) then I can't do much there either.
