Michael Dorosh
Fess up - did the beta game include a scenario editor? Have any of you salted away some .bmps in anticipation of sneaking a mod or two over to der Kessel for an early jump on winning friends and influencing people? Who will be the first tester to announce a pet project????
MikeyD
I'll fess. I did a Churchill III and a camou Nashorn/Hummel mod on the sly. Otherwise too busy PLAYING the game for much modding! Eat your heart out. One problem with doing mods for CMBB is I have to hunt through a BILLION bmp files to find the right textures! The good news is you don't have to worry so much about shared art between vehicles. Rumor has it (don't take this as Gospel) that a vehicle bmp number sheet may eventually be made available for the mod community. I hope the rumors are true. Andreas
I have decided the QB function is so improved that there is no longer a point in doing any scenarios. Instead I used the time saved on scenario design to blow up Panzer IIIs with T34s. So sue me...
MikeyD
One scenario I've had in the back of my mind is a little fictionalized scenario involving the Russians arriving in 1945 at the very spot where the war originally started, at the Post Office in Danzig (in my imagination defended by Volksturm of course). Maybe I'll call it "The Tin Drum."

Andreas
I think it started when the old German ship of the lne (pre-dreadnought) Schleswig-Holstein bombarded the Polish naval base on the Westerplatte, off Danzig, from its position in Danzig harbour, or somefink. Where is a good site to go to find out how the Modders make these changes to the bmp files. I would like to give it a shot. And I know that CM:BB is not out yet until Sep 20. But will it be the same way for CM:BB bmp files to be able to change as it is for CM:BO?

Michael Dorosh
Would it be a gross violation of the NDA for one of you to disclose the dimensions of the main splash screen bmp? The one that is used at 1024 x 768 resolution - would the dimensions of this bmp actually be 1024 x 768? I know I'm being pathetic but I have scads of free time before Sunday, and not very much afterwards....my email is madorosh@shaw.ca for a confidential reply.... [Wiking]
Anyone know if the Kursk battle comes included with the game?
-Havermeyer-
So why should Grog Dorosh get the dimensions on the sly? I demand public information on this vital issue! I have a delectable splash screen incorporating screen shots from Anna Nicole Smith's new TV show I wanna build!
Warphead
Yes, "the Kursk battle" is included. With all the thousands of tanks and vehicles for each side on hundreds of square kilometers. My Linux cluster needs six days just to process the setup...

You probably blush when you buy MAXIM, too. Not looking for special treatment, the more the merrier. German law means Tom could host Anna Nicole easier than he could something with a swastika on it.
