Runyan99
As in title. Can anyone recommend a desert scenario that they really liked?
Andreas
Self-plug May not be desert enough for you. Meet the Queens discussion I'll send you the other one tonight, spent the weekend in Bourgogne away from the computer. All the best Andreas
DavidFields
I assume you mean ones not on the disk? Otherwise, I liked Disaster at Breda Fromm, playing Italian. Lot's of unusual equipment--I want to giggle when I see the term "Tankette", but they can be used effectively in that scenario. There is some interesting maneuvering.
The_Enigma
Tiger Valley, really like that one ... you can find it on the The Scenario Depot. I really enjoyed one which is on the disk itself, cant remember what its called but i recall it taking place at Knightsbridge. Was really cool up close n peronsal tank shoot out.
Uberpickle
Bedm Fomm was one of my favorites. Other than that, i've had some interesting desert quick battles. As I said the in Puppchen thread: The puppchen makes me cry. God I hate that thing so much!!!
MeatEtr
I remember a great battle from a couple of years ago with a scenario called "Meeting in the Wind". Couldn't find it at the SDII though. IIRC, it was a battle that took place in a sort of sandstorm.
Kingfish
Boots and Tracks has Meeting in the Wind, among others.
Hans
I could recommend SB The Sullen Well of Taleh at the depot for a bit of desert AC conflict. For a desert night time action: SB Babbot vs Nussolini For desert fights but in a different desert, a few Arab-Israeli fights: SO Abu Agueila 1956 AIW (Operation) SB Retaliation AIW SB Block at El-Arish AIW
Other Means
Definately Tiger Valley. That one's a classic.
chiavarm
khamsin. Played that one with two opponents at the same time via PBEM. It was enjoyed by all.
dieseltaylor
Tiger Valley. Big in size, and big in choices and action. Not an AI game.
weags2
I would also like to plug Tiger Valley. I am currently knee deep in a fantastic PBEM. Against a live body is the only way to play this one. Lots of fun!
The_Enigma
I'am just about to finish up The Dead Salute the Gods by Iron Duke. American tank brigade faces off with a German panzer force .... head to head, excellent fighting ensures! Ive found it really enjoyable to play through very exciting and comical momments throughout.
Xavier_1986
Totensonntag is my favorite. It's a big one but it's extremely rewarding.

John Kettler
Runyan99, I can't speak for vs. AI, but Firefight '40 from ROW IV was an absolute knucklebiter that went to down pistol duels. I had the Italians defending. If you want to play with some truly unusual gear as Italians defending, try Retreat from Metemma. I got stomped, though, in a textbook demonstration of how not to do things. Also a ROW IV scenario. Regards, John Kettler
The_Enigma
John, i have just looked on the scenario depot and through the proving grounds and could not fidn them. do you know where one would?
John Kettler
the_enigma, My mistake. I thought they were up at B&T. Wrong! Would suggest you contact Kingfish. If he can't supply them, I'm sure he can tell you who can. Regards, John Kettler

John Kettler
the_enigma, Another approach would be to look at the relevant AAR threads to get the scenario designers names and contact them directly. Regards, John Kettler
Richie
"Retreat from Metemma" & "Firefight '40" from ROW IV... I'll email these to both of you if you haven't already tracked them down.
