Howto send crew back into the tank?

Hi folks!

Please help me! If crew abandon the tank, howto i send they back into the tank?

Not in the same battle...

CM logic: If any crew abandons its equipment, the crew won't re-man it in the next hour - which is usually more than the length of a CM battle.

Think of shellshock, mental state of the crew, minor injuries, survivors attending casualties or just a breakdown of the tank.

Do not think: "Hey, there are 0 casualties out of 5 crewmen so the crew is in a perfect state. And the tank is neither immobile nor gun-damaged so it can still fight". Numbers and figures lie. Believe me, I make a living out of that. I am a statistician.

Bailed crews should be evacuated to the rear if at all possible,

but cannot be returned to a tank or vehicle in the same battle ,

Pull them back to safety

Which is too short...

You can't in battles, the game might decide to put them back between battles in operations

If the crew survives and is evacuated, does it make it more likely, in an operation, that the abandoned vehicle will return to duty for the next battle?

More likely than if the crew is killed or captured I mean.

Put it this way - there's no chance of remaning if the crew doesn't survive!

ISTR that crews leaving the battlefield are gone. Leave them in the rear, but on map.

To prevent the remanning of abandoned enemy vehicles, you can continue to shoot at abandoned vehicles should you please and attempt to damage them further, preventing remanning. I recommend this only if you have lots of extra ammo, and the enemy has really high chances of remanning.

Yes - IIRC only "abandoned" vehicles or guns get remanned, if at all - so you can get them to "destroyed" with further effort.

Welcome aboard!

Not only can't this be done, but you'd be well advised to evacuate unhorsed armor crews from the combat area because they count double for victory point purposes, reflecting the years and expense it took to train them.

That too, but there is something about finishing up an Op battle by lighting up your opponent's vehicles one by one. Its like pissing on him when he's down.

Quiz-

Name two different ways an abandoned enemy vehicle can still cause casualties-

1- By attracting air attacks

2- By exploding when my flamethrower team stands beside it and hoses it down.

Incidentally, you could use an abandoned vehicle as an incendiary device in flammable terrain, by shooting it until it burns, thus (eventually) setting the terrain tile on fire.
