IMPORTANT NOTE TO MODDERS or ANYONE WHO ADDS MORE TEXTURES TO

THERE GAME AFTER INSTALLING THIS MOD!! :

Feel FREE to add to this mod. I ask one thing of mod makers,

if you are going to make a new texture or anything, please

use the following formula so that your add-ons can conform

to this color scheme:

In Paintshop Pro 7+ load the graphic to be modified.

Paint away.

Once your texture is done, go to :

COLORS ---> ADJUST ---> HUE/SATURATION/LIGHTNESS

Making sure the MASTER channel is selected change

the SATURATION to -15 Next go to all PINK areas

and modify them to RGB code of R:255 G:0 B:255

If you follow this formula after making your textures

and use it on ALL textures, your add-on will mix with

this add-on perfect.

Please make SURE you remember to change the PINK areas

to 255,0,255 or your transparent areas will not be transparent.

If you think that's too much work , try doing 5000+ files this way smile.gif

It only takes you about 30 seconds per texture.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

What's in the mod? Or Why should I download 2++ megs???

1) Modified 5100 files to adjust color saturation, luminance,

and detail. Now all textures have a much more realistic look.

2) Modified Targeting lines, way point lines, etc to take

up less space on the screen.

3) Removed overhead view tree-tops. If you are looking at

the map from a straight down view, normally the tree tops block

your view of items underneath the trees. This has been remedied.

You will still see trees as normal when in any non top down view.

To tell where trees are in top down view just look for the

leaves at the tree bases.

4) Modified Flags to be smaller as they looked way too huge and

block view of some objects

5) Re-adjusted size of some textures to improve quality and

improve frame rates

6) Modified Craters and Foxholes to appear non-facing.

In other words, no in-correct light shadows on craters.

7) Created Splash-Screen that goes with the war

8) This mod conforms to German law as far as no Nazi Markings

have been added that are prohibited in Germany. If you want German

marking, you'll have to add them on your own as I did not want to

ruin German folks from being able to use this mod.

WHAT HAS NOT BEEN ALTERED?

1) The GUI except for the SplashScreen as I know folks like making new GUI's ;)

2) The Special Effects, Fire, Explosions, smoke. Look for an add-on pack coming soon!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

To Install:

Run the SETUP.EXE

Extract to your CMBB\BMP folder.

ALLOW it to overwrite

If for some reason you do NOT like the mod, simply copy

all the contents of the BMP folder on your CMBB CD.

If you do not own the CMBB CD, do not bother asking me for help.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

BUGS, KNOWN ISSUES

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

None that I know of.

If you find an object that has PINK around it, please make a note of

what object it was, the season, weather, and so forth. Send me the info

so I can make a small patch ASAP.

However, I did test every single texture in and out of game

and resolved all graphic issues I could find.

COMING SOON (Possible)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Fire, Explosion, Smoke Effects Add-on

Pacific Warfare. <-- I need Battlefront's help with this one though for 3D models

It is do-able right now, but will look goofy with German faces, vehicles and buildings.

GUI Interface? <-- Not sure on this one, I like the default GUI

Movie Recorder <-- Need Battlefront help to finish

Modern Warfare - Battlefront's Help needed for 3D models and OOB

Sound pack <-- Working on it, trying to get rights for sounds...

All graphics work has been modified from the original CMBB.

All work contained within this mod and zip are

np. i was so excited to get a glimpse so i corrected it, then found out 8 pics was over the limit, then i had to wait 30 sec to re post...argh...

the space was screwing up the img links. a simple %20 replacement for all the spaces and voila. (hence the after%20shot's)

It looks wonderful, truly amazing. Just one question, will this mod affect my frame rates (dunno a better word for it)?

No, as a matter of fact, because of the way I reduced some of the textures to make them look better (Don't ask lol) your framerates might actually improve.

Wow! The screen shots look great, can't wait to get my grubby little paws on it. I was hoping when I noticed the name Gunslinger posting on the forum again that you might apply your magic touch. Well anyway, thank you very much. Oh and by the way, the stock bmp's look fantastic also, I just prefer the toned down(for lack of a better term) look.
