Wesreidau
Reported on Page 13 of the Peng thread today, Hiram Sedai/Phillies Phan lost a game
quote:
100 - 0

Yes! We know, amazing! Whlie he has been doing much better recently, this is an unprecedented PBEM loss. Has anyone else been able to beat this? Or at least match it? Interested in your stories. Jarmo
Once against an AI. But to do it in a PBEM!? Was a defense against an AI assault. I first wasted every vehicle with a duo of Hetzers. Then the AI wasted all her arty to cover the said Hetzers. What remained, was AI's attempt to come over a hill. I had a company of Gerbiljägers in a reverse slope defense behind the hill, with one 150mm and one 75mm inf guns and both Hetzers continuously blasting the top of the hill. I believe I had some arty as well, but don't remember what kind. Gamey setup? Gamey setup!!!?! I CAN HAVE GAMEY SETUPS AGAINST THE AI IF I WANT!!! BTW, I was stunned when I saw the score. Enough stunned to not save anything..
Kanonier Reichmann
What's so unusual about that? Isn't that sort of score typical of how much the Phillies normally lose their games by? (Ducks for cover). Regards Jim R.

I think the Phillies are doing quite well this year. But they still have plenty of time to screw things up. Redwolf
You will always get this score when you have all flags and no own losses. Opponent's losses do not matter at all then. Martin

From the Holy Book of CMBO:
quote:
Victory Points Victory points are awarded for the following: - Control of victory flags. - Casualties caused to the enemy. - Captured enemy (counts double that of casualties). - Exited units, generally worth 2-3 times the unit's purchase value (note: units eligible for exit that do not exit score points for the enemy). - Any "bonus" set by the scenario designer.

Thus endeth the reading of the Holy Book of CMBO. Redwolf
What I said is correct. What the manual says is right as well, of course, but not precise enough. Or can you turn the manual content into something to type into your pocket calculator?
BFCElvis
This is all very nice put while Peter was kind enough to mention the loser he failed to mention the victor. Check out either page 13 or 14 for a short AAR ...there was NO gamey set up or playing..just standard issue butt kicking with an unusual score.
