Techware announces development into a complete Combat Mission graphics upgrade is currently underway.

Tired of the super bright cartoony colors of CM?

Will no more.

I have begun the slow painfull ( heehee ) process of hand editing all 1,800 graphic files in Combat Mission.

Compare the following screens shots below with normal Combat Mission and I think you will agree as to the realistic look of this upgrade so far.

Features (Still not finished with additions):

New Fire. Looks more realistic and not seemed any more.

Toned down grass and other world textures.

Most files modifed to be clearer and look more like real life than a game.

I'll announce here when I'm done. Not sure as to a finish date but it shouldn't take long. Maybe by Thursday or Friday if all goes well. (Lots of editing)

Images are thumbnailed but the actual images are around 200 to 300k as I didn't want to lose any quality.

Just to let everyone know, the pictures look a little dreary but I am testing weather settings right now, so in those pics it was late November with Fog rolling in.

So in other words, it was meant to look dreary for that time of year smile.gif

I know brand new bomb explosions just came out, which are in there self fantastic.

But to not be under done I just created some bomb explosion graphics.. and I think you'll like them smile.gif

Gunslinger... PLEASE email me when the new graphic files are complete! When I saw those pics on that site, I nearly s!&$ realistic colors!

I salute you my friend as a fellow computer graphics wizard... also I would love to talk with you via email sometime concerning making/editing graphical things for mods...

P.S. Do you play counterstrike? the smiley with the gun, is Camper.gif and so far as I can tell the term Camper is mainly used in TFC or CS both of which are based on halflife...

P.P.S. It's been a month since I last blew somethin up on CM (damn work... Damn hot girl friend LOL) and when those new graphics are ready... be sure I'll be putting work and sex on hold for a few days smile.gif so let me know when they are ready smile.gif

This sounds real awesome but will it make the game run slow?

I only have an Aflyon PIII 500, with a 32 meg tnt ultra, and 132 meg ram.

Mst battle runs sweet as, cept really really big ones. What are u testing it on?

Well the pictures are all very nice indeed.

Just some minor concerns:

where are the rodents (and the cows and ozelots)???

And wheres that hardware I´m so desperately gonna need frown.gif?

I´m deeply impressed and can´t wait to be ruined once more just to keep paces with the everlasting hardwareracingclub (run Luke...run!!!) smile.gifsmile.gif
