Fourm notifications?

For a thread I am following (well actually, my own), I want to get instant email when someone posts.

 

So I click:

 

 

and then want to select the highlighted below, but get the byline message/warning

 

So I go to Notification Settings, and all looks fine:

 

What am I missing?

Check Settings / Email address and make sure you have an email address set.

I have the same issue as Gnarly. I have an easily address set. I get done notifications, but the same weird box that Gnarly emphasized.

Email is most definitely set: I get a daily digest, as well as notifications about any new posts to forums I subscribe to:

Sigh. I'm stumped. That makes no sense. If only we could log a bug with the message board provider. I've tried they don't let just any old user log a bug. ?

yeah I've noticed that the folks I have set to follow I do not get notification when they post.

Under notification settings, make sure you change these:

Personally, I hate emails, so that's why mine are all turned off.

Ah-ha!  I do believe you are right @SLIM, I'd totally missed that dialog, and more specifically the right hand list of EMail  options, in isolation to the left hand list of 'in-forum' notifications.

 

Changed it up (first two items), and just now got my first ever email of someone posting (as opposed to quoting) in one of my threads.
