Heinrich505
Bootie,Was watching and the video was blurry. My settings seem locked at 144p. Went over to watch on YouTube. Same thing. Anything I can do to sharpen the image? Heinrich505
Bootie
Usually takes a while to process into HD... try again now or in a little while. Certainly displaying ok for me.
Heinrich505
Okay, must be something on my end. I checked settings and now it shows at 480p and it is clear. Don't know why I was stuck on 144p. I thought you were in the clear from that StuG in the center but it seems he got LOS somehow on your tank and blooey.Heinrich505
Bimmer
I had the same problem with the video quality, but a couple of reloads and it sorted itself out (in the embedded window).Fairly heavy losses so far, at least in the leading platoons. It's not completely clear to me how much of your initial force you've committed at this point, but as noted in the briefing reinforcements will be along eventually.
Badger73
@Bootie, Appreciate you doing this. Nice narration to the videos. What Unit Icon mod (blue to green for Allies / grey to orange for Axis) are you swapping in and out from segment to segment?
Bootie
@Badger73 I was using this mod. I tend to play about with them to try and strike the right balance.http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=2080

AlexUK
Ouch, that was pretty painful... Would be good to have an overview of your forces - I'm getting the impression that your infantry have taken a bit of a beating...
Bimmer
That was a bit brutal. That StuG crew is definitely off your Christmas card list.
Bootie
LOL.. yeah I was given a right royal bloody nose there. I did however reach the first phase line.....
Heinrich505
Bootie, That was a really rough turn. I'm sure you are reeling from it. It does have a historical feel to it though. US tank losses were really bad in the hedgerows. It might be better to work the flanks as the center seems dominated by that StuG. It takes a lot of guts to post these things and let everyone see your good moves as well as your bad moves. I salute you. These are cool to watch and we really do appreciate you putting yourself out on the block for all to see.Heinrich505
Holien
Bootie thanks for these, I am enjoying the show and if I may offer some advice is just take it a bit slower and only move up once you have done the recon.
Bil Hardenberger
Bootie, I do love your accent!! I smile when you say "fire superiority".. lovely. Umm.. lead with infantry in that terrain, your armor needs to support your infantry when in close terrain.Fun stuff!!

Bimmer
Just got a chance to watch this. Not to give anything away, but I think your assessment of the situation and the need to move more slowly is pretty accurate. I'll be happy to elaborate more when it's over, but for now I'll just leave these here:

Did you get these from AD-1211 817: Busting the Bocage: American Combined Arms Operations in France 6 June - 31 July 1944?https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiQnbPPubHKAhUI1CYKHVR5Ab8QFggdMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fdtic.mil%2Fcgi-bin%2FGetTRDoc%3FAD%3DADA211817&usg=AFQjCNGelZ0-htXkMf8Ys5-PS55jQ9Zuiw&sig2=hABJGp2GgngLJxCWdi5JMA
Bimmer
Yeah, I think that's the original source. I just found them through an image search, but I've seen them reprinted in at least two books as well.
