Bootie v Rinaldi DAR (Stay Out Rinaldi!)

Recommended Posts

I had the same problem with the video quality, but a couple of reloads and it sorted itself out (in the embedded window).

Fairly heavy losses so far, at least in the leading platoons. It's not completely clear to me how much of your initial force you've committed at this point, but as noted in the briefing reinforcements will be along eventually.

Bootie,

That was a really rough turn.  I'm sure you are reeling from it.  It does have a historical feel to it though.  US tank losses were really bad in the hedgerows.

It might be better to work the flanks as the center seems dominated by that StuG.

It takes a lot of guts to post these things and let everyone see your good moves as well as your bad moves.  I salute you.  These are cool to watch and we really do appreciate you putting yourself out on the block for all to see.

Just got a chance to watch this. Not to give anything away, but I think your assessment of the situation and the need to move more slowly is pretty accurate. I'll be happy to elaborate more when it's over, but for now I'll just leave these here:

@Bimmer.  Nice find.  I've heard about that as 29th Infantry Division Solutions and Lessons Learned.  Did you get these from AD-1211 817:  Busting the Bocage:  American Combined Arms Operations in France 6 June - 31 July 1944?
