Didn't the Germans employ a Flamethrower equipped Hetzer variant at one point? What all mobile Flamethrowers seen action during the Mid 44 to wars end time frame? Earlier in the war the Germans had a PZ III flame variant and something called a Flamingo which I think was either on a PZ II or Pz 38 chassis. Baneman Posted March 6, 2014 Share Posted March 6, 2014 Roughly copied out of my Encyclopedia of German Tanks there were : 112 + 43 conversions of PzII flame - apparently withdrawn by mid42 at latest. 100 PzIII version - from Jan43 till about Kursk 20 Hetzer conversions Dec44 for Battle of the Bulge.
