  1. Every time I read about PBEMs another day another frustration. I like playing with the graphics. Made a Mind Map how to organize a battle. Found it a great help.
  2. I played Gog Magog and watched how many T34 attacked. Soviet tanks have all radios in the game, nearby are AT positions. I know the weather conditions were optimal in that game. The T34's all shared C2 by radio so if one tank spots inside the minute tentative contacts are shared. Also, the size of a King Tiger tank makes it easy to spot. Numbers in the game make a huge difference. In another Red Thunder scenario we spot Tigers in a hull down weather hazy distance over a kilometer. The German armor was spotted by infantry and the tentative contacts relayed by runners to the IS2's. The IS2's independently didn't spot anything it was combined infantry with the armor which make them spot first.
  3. Example is the Sherman in 1967 it was a different beast than the one in 1942.
  4. The Chieftain pointed out. A T-62 with thermals is more effective than a T-72 without it.
  5. The latest BP is one and Fire and Rubble has six campaigns I wouldn't call any of them easy. Our favorite mode of play is Hotseat. IMHO other MP systems still have a long way to go. There is a way around to make Campaigns MP but we have never done it. But anybody who can complete a campaign is definitely not a Noob. Maps are just right for WW2 play the same size in BS it is definitely too small in the latter.
  6. Perceptions differ. He analyzed the Russian logistics or the lack they have.
  7. What gets me he even finds the empty mag valuable enough to put it back in his pouch.
  8. IMHO if Ukraine carries over the war inside Russia the boot is on the other foot. Russia would be capable defending its home turf. If it happens and it goes wrong NATO would be forced to have boots on the ground inside Russia. Their objective strategy is not so much nuclear escalation but avoiding also a conventional WW3.
  9. Manual Cover for Hammers Flank Campaign. Keep it simple.
  10. More detail than yesterday's video. Infantry operating drones armor for close in fighting.
  11. Democrats aka as Liberals by the GOP synonymous as socialists by the GOP aka republicans. The moment you have socialism in your party they look with absolute horror. whether it is National Socialist or Social Democrats it is socialist. My advice don't discuss politics in the US. I survived there for three months.
  12. Interesting to say the least. Ukraine demonstrates that they can resist Russian attack and the Russians want to demonstrate they can break Ukraine's resistance. The terrain for the defender is sub-terranean (compare it with the tunnels in Vietnam) the defender can pop up anywhere with surprise on their side. The Russian attacker suffers tremendous casualties because only fire teams consisting of three four men reach the lines of the Ukrainian defenders. This battle will demonstrate which side has the initiative.
  13. I understand why Germany was reluctant to authorize the deployment of Leo 2's.
  14. He looked in the wrong direction. He was a MANPAD unit so a Javelin is justified.
  15. I can remember when it was just the BENELUX where did they go wrong?
