  1. Yeah bad explanation, the M8 HMC is already listed in the manual and TO&E for the game on the website.
  2. Turn off all anti-aliasing and vsync also some other unneeded stuff on your graphics card profile for that specific game. If you want you can even in game options turn graphics to medium or low should be a lot better. Depends on size of map too.
  3. Hi tankgeezer. I can confirm, there are US armor formations missing CM:BN 3.11 for quick battles. priest, m8 scott, sometimes US paratroopers missing from quick battles due to missing formations in purchase screen. There is already a whole thread on it my friend. After everyone looked for the problem I finally found the source of the crashes.
  4. ^ HE is not meant to penetrate anyway, but given a large enough caliber HE hitting your tank no armor is going to stop your body from being externally or internally injured by that size of a round from the concussion alone.
  5. It's hard to say if they penetrated the skirt since they were HE and not HEAT. In some cases if the HE round is big enough it should be able to knock out a tank just from the blunt force.
  6. ^ no one would dare shoot at that 1/2 track with that many mk ivs around
  7. 12 105mm HE rounds from a sherman 105. Had to call up a 75mm sherman to put it down couldn't the crew be killed from shockwave blast or worse? Even though its an HE 105 I wouldn't think they could stay in the tank past 2 hits. Only 1 survive though.
  8. A 1/2 track in the open is not good. The m1 garand can pick them off with iron sights at 100 meters. Seems hard but game allows it. Thompsons are iffy at that range. Now doing that with a moving vehicle with only tiny part of helmet exposed is extremely hard to do. I wonder if the game implements some kind of accuracy reduction when vehicles moving with troops exposed are shot at it would be hard to hit them or even a vehicle moving over a certain distance. Thought about this as well with an AT gun and a moving tank. Maybe there will be a hide in vehicle option in the future? Maybe they can combine it with the move slow command. Or reduce accuracy of weapon hits on moving vehicles.
  9. no sniper like mp40 is going to penetrate sides, half track maybe at close range Penetration of tiny slits probability is VERY low as well. Unfortunately these 2 things are not true in the new patch.. From wikipedia Its glacis armor was supposed to withstand fire from a .50 in (12.7 mm) machine gun and side armor from a .30 in (7.62 mm) machine gun
  10. Bah! nope still taking casualties from the mp-40 after ducking back in and not exposing (9mm ) at all at times.. I'll see if my patch went through ok..
  11. It appears that 3.12 shows on the main screen without activating it, but the battle pack icon only shows when you activate it.
  12. With the m20 too. Yes I am happy with that as well woo ha!!!!!
  13. I found the Easter egg. Hint it's where ChrisND mentions that the 1st battle pack will be released with v3.12.
  14. woops. I knew the m8 open top version was in there but not the closed top early version as well? Thanks
  15. I was reading the manual for this new game and some vehicles and equipment that are in it, came out before the game's (CM:FB) time period and are in the CM:BN time period (but not in the actual CM:BN game). Will we be able to play those vehicles / equipment in CM:BN?
  16. I knew the mm, just not that it did the splash damage.. With that said does HE create more splash damage hitting soft dirt or a hard metal tank?
  17. Does the bazooka or schrek even have an HE explosion on impact? I thought it was just a shaped charge that didn't produce the HE stuff.
  18. Thought I would share this. I couldn't believe it either but here is the modified grant tank at 1:33. .50cal but no 37mm barrel or it is turned around?
  19. well if the greyhound armor is being fixed you might as well do the same for the m20 utility car.
  20. Thanks for the reply c3k, all makes sense to me. I'm searching books as best as i could but I could not find anything on how often this stuff was used or where to look. The HE grenade was more powerful tnt instead of the powder used in regular grenades. Yes there was casualty causing in glass. They had some really really bad stuff... some were nerve gas. How prevalent were they used in ww2 still unknown. If anyone finds some sources on numbers please reply. Grenade, Frangible, M1 = no fuze - AC filler - glass body - 25 yards range - ignites on impact - casualty use Grenade, Frangible, M1 = no fuze - AW filler - glass body - 25 yards range - ignites on impact - incendiary use, casualty
