  1. Oh, thank you so much for the reply. I shall certainly give it a whirl when it is finished.
  2. Always glad to be of help. No CM lessons today. Just a piece of advice for life in general. "Never trust anyone called Charles Stewart."
  3. @Brille is spot on. Al the time they've got their hands up, and no white flag appears, it means that they have mates lurking in the shadows.
  4. Having been away for quite a while for health reasons, both my own and my PC's. Did this reworking ever get finished?
  5. My apologies. It has been 45 years since I did "O"-level Geography. And I only got a "C".
  6. Very late to the party. But I can't get either the berets, or the uniforms bearing the para insignia to show up at all.
  7. Declan and I batted a few ideas around. Then given the fact that I am a complete duffer when it comes to these new fangled mechanical typewriter whatsits, he provided me with a link to the Microsoft C ++ (x86) thingamybob, which worked. I just have to cobble together some new music mods as I lost all the ones that I created some years back when my old PC died.
  8. I think that it was always different to the other titles on my old machine with it's own sub-folder. And "yes" I accepted the default locations. If I can't sort it tomorrow I will certainly call on Declan's help.
  9. I completely baffled by this. CMFI and CMFB run fine on my new machine, but I'll be bound if I can get Normandy to work.
  10. If I'm ever able to get the game working again I'll certainly give this a whirl.
  11. When I first bought the CMFI Gustav Line bundle years ago I put together a mod called "Limeys on the Med" which as the name suggests consisted of songs by US artists which had originated in the UK. It was lost when my old PC went bang, but I might recreate if the CMFI bug bites.
  12. I've just taken another look. I'm not quite sure how it happened but I ended up with both a wmv file and a wav file. That's the problem with being 400 years old, we have no idea how these automated writing machines work. Having sussed it, I will hold Miss Dirttrack's version in reserve. And use the recording made by Charlie and his Orchestra when I play as the Jerrys
  13. Although you might want to check it, as it appears to me that you have included both the video and music in the one file, which prevents it from working in game.
  14. Many thanks to Declan for getting me sorted. I'm off to watch some detectives. Well, it's better than going to Chelsea.
  15. Thanks for the advice. Just a bit more detail, I bought CMFI back in 2015, it was the Gustave Line bundle using Engine 2. And I've never upgraded it beyond that. Would that be why my original order's link doesn't work?
  16. Oooops. Sorry about that, I was "too busy thinking 'bout my baby", as Marvin once sang. But, enough of her, you're right, Declan is the man to go to.
  17. A slight variation on this theme if I may. I've also recently bought a new PC after my old one died. And want to re-install my games. CMBN, CMFB and CMRT look fine and ready to reload from my Orders page. However when I went back to Fortress Italy I got a massage saying "Invalid Link". has anyone else encountered the same problem? And, is there a workaround?
  18. I assume you are referring to that idiot son of mine, Tumbledown Dick.
  19. When you click on any vehicle, whether it be a carrier, jeep or truck, look at the picture in the middle of the UI. You will see a series of circles, green circles = occupied seats, and grey circles = empty seats. Also, keep in mind that in this particular battle not all of your Limey carriers are "Bren Carriers". You also have Lyods, which you should use for hauling your AT Guns around.
  20. I got three or four missions into the campaign only to find our old friend bocage gap charging rear it's ugly head. I thought that this particularly nasty bug had been squashed for ever, sadly not. It might be a game breaker, but it does render it decidedly unenjoyable.
