You could just say Japanese. It's only five extra letters.
You're right. But, it might make his brain hurt.

Stream comes in the "Roads" group. In the middle on the bottom row. A bit confusing, but there you go.

(what would health and safety say) ....
Something along the lines of "If you want to go back to a time before the passing of the Health and Safety at Work Act be our guest, but don't come running to us if you get seriously injured, you dozy plonker". If they were being polite.

Is this something to do with Marlon Brando?
It's a reference to a Metro station close to where scenes from a certain moving picture show were filmed. And it's not the only station to take it's name from a battle.

One day in spring '44 whilst hauling a consignment of 25lbr shells to Portsmouth Docks, Paddy's Bedford veered off the road and slammed into the side wall of The Bridge Tavern. Having gingerly extricated himself from the wreckage Paddy finds PC Plod waiting for him, notebook in hand.
Plod :- Been drinking have we, Sir?
Paddy :- Drink, me fecking arse! I got distracted by some gob****e calling me a Brit. Now, be on you bike and tell Mr. Jorrocks to send some REME boys to get me truck out of the fecking pub wall.

I am researching Bir Hakim
I went through Bir Hakeim a few times one evening whilst waiting for a young lady to come out of work. And before anyone asks, no, butter wasn't involved.

never seen so much rain in the summer
Wasn't it Denison Dave and the Bald Boys who had a smash hit back in '44 with a track called "Don't you guys ever have a God damn summer?"

I once made the mistake of assuming that a hit decal on a Tiger's gun barrel meant "job done". The big cat then took out two of my Shermans. The air turned blue.

I suppose things have changed for the better. It used to be the mad old man in the basement, and the Panther that was free to roam.

They've got a Starbucks in the Hauptbahnhof, what more do you want?

I have to wonder what kind of house this person had.
A big one, perhaps.

Given the fact that Georgy Zee and the Balalaika Beat Boys had already given Japan a damn good thrashing in August '39, they were hardly likely to come back for another one in 1941. Just my tuppence 'ha'pennyworth.

Someone should have bought Mad Addy a book about 1812. And then smacked 'im around the 'ead with it repeatedly. Not, to knock any sense into 'im, but just for the fun of it. As the old saying goes, "Never trust a man who goes into a beer hall and drinks mineral water".

Rightly so, nothing better than a stressed royal.
Sadly, The Royal Oak pub in my hometown got demolished in 1975. Either, they wanted to build a new office and shop development, or they still hadn't gotten over the fact that the Parliamentarians won the battle fought here during the Civil War. In the words of a fictional politician, "I couldn't possibly comment."

No, just a worried look.

Hmm, I guess this comes down to personal preference, I like that fact that I can't see everything
Yes, I agree with you on that. I want my woodland to look like woodland.
Meanwhile, here is a Royal Oak. And before anyone from USatia asks, no Charlie Stewart No.2 wasn't in 101 Dalmatians.

At least there's no member of the Stewart family hiding in one of them.

Reminds of of Jimmi Carr:
"I thought my girlfriend was a slag, when she said I was her thirty second lover. Then I realised she was talking about time".I seem to remember that when Michael "I don't sing, and I don't drink Pepsi" Jackson used a picture of this beer in one of his books back in the 1980's, it was captioned "It doesn't mean what you think it does".

I'm sure you're right: Just after the T-34 clip someone says: "You're being transferred to the Netherlands".
Well spotted.

At 052 there is a T-34. It's all Double-Dutch to me.
I've not seen the movie. But I think that scene might be a flashback to when a young Dutchman is serving with the Germans on the Eastern Front.

Not everyone has an 'arris made out of bacon fat.

Personally I've always found pistol packing tankers to be a pain in the 'arris. So as far as I'm concerned he got what he deserved.

repainted (including hot pink overall) T-34/85 in some UK park
A park is something of an over statement. It is actually on a piece of waste ground just off the Old Kent Road. Not far from where Brian Epstein used to get beaten up when he went out looking for rough trade. It is seen here sporting a blend of NHS blue, rainbows, hearts and a poppy. It reminds me of the days when County Hall would be "adorned" with the number of unemployed, just to piss off the Milk Snatcher. ...
