  1. Hey, I'm interested. Still working through my Bulge maps and getting distracted by MG. I could use: Malmedy, Stavelot, Stoumont, La Glieze, Spa, Petit-Coo. Thanks for the offer.
  2. I'm making progress on both of mine. Have plans for a few more. Map detailing sure takes a lot of time. I'll be using the helpful infantry mods you and mjkerner pulled together.
  3. Thanks for the information Jason and YankeeDog. Good sign to see a lot of beta testers posting today. I can see those triple 151s chewing through a lot of ammo and the need to have more hands available. Given their later war usage as a partial replacement for the 251/17 their should be some extra space available for the platoon leader or HMG teams. Either that or somehow those teams can act as part of the crew when on board. My goal is to see historical usage of them. Thanks again for the input.
  4. @ Phil – That explains why the majority of 251/21 photos (not many available) I have seen are complete wrecks. @ ASL Veteran – Thanks for the information. I did some more digging and found the original TO&E docs for the six vehicle platoons in some of the panzer brigade grenadier companies. I also found the TO&Es showing the 251/17 as the platoon leader vehicle and HMG carrier (Heavy weapons platoon) in the armored grenadier companies. Armored engineers also used them as the platoon leader vehicle. It looks like as the panzer divisions received 251/21 deliveries (November 44 and later) they used them in place of the 17s (why have one barrel when you can have three instead). So the 21s did carry the platoon leader and HMG teams as passengers. Since the vehicle layout was the same as that used in the Panzer Brigade they should have some passenger capacity. Yes? I’m happy to supply the supporting documentation I found (original Kriegsstärkenachweisung (KStN) and others). Not sure who on the dev team makes the call on the vehicle details (post MG release of course).
  5. Really looking forward to getting my hands on the 251/17 and 251/21. In reviewing the MG manual I noticed that the 251/21 only has space for 4 crew and no passengers. I've read accounts of both 251/21 versions (151 and 20mm) being used as platoon leader vehicles in armored panzergrenadier battalions as well as armored pioneer companies. I have also seen references to them carrying the HMG teams in heavy weapon platoons. The weapon was manually operated so a driver and one crew should be enough. The other 4+ seats could be passengers? Thoughts?
  6. Thanks for trying to spur on more Bulge interest. I have two scenarios in the works. Maps are 90% done. They are both Northern shoulder pre-snow so I'm waiting on MG to get some of the latest Bulge vehicles and feature enhancements. I do plan on mixing a few of your mods (Coats, gloves, signs, other?) into the final product.
  7. Noob - That's unfortunate. I was looking forward to finally have one of these play out. Although, I agree with the need to have a more diverse set of objectives. I really think you should at least give Kampfgruppe Baneman a chance to retake the town. One last battle before MG shows up. I guess Kensal and Baneman could go ahead and play it out regardless. ;-)
  8. Kohlenklau - Thanks for an entertaining AAR. That arty is going to be tough for the Germans in the Ardennes. I posted a couple of thoughts on the CMPzC system in Noobs thread. Keep the AARs coming!
  9. Thanks for the battle Noob. I enjoyed following it from both sides. Foreshadowing of what the Bulge is going to be like for the Germans....lots of arty. A couple of things on the CMPzC mechanics: 1) It looks like defenders that are not surrounded (free hex(s) behind them) should be allowed to set up with direct access to their exit zones. If not, it's too easy for attackers with large numbers/mobility to cut them off. See the "Route to Ribera" thread. Maybe some % of the defenders should be allowed to set-up to cover exit zones. 2) In the BdF battle there were a number of AFVs bogged or immobilized. It might make sense to allow for all bogged AFVs that end up in a controlled hex to be available for the next turn. Maybe AFVs that are damaged/immobilized might be available in 12 to 24 hrs. Panzer Campaigns allows for some % of vehicles to be recovered. In this battle all US immobilized vehicles would be lost because you had to exit the hex. German vehicles would be recovered. It's great to see an operational level coming together.
  10. Thanks to you and mjkerner for pulling this together. Once MG comes out I plan on working on a few Bulge (pre-snow) scenarios using MG. I need those later war vehicles but will swap out for greatcoats and foliage. We're going to have a long wait for the official Bulge release so might as well get started. Keep up the good work on CMPzC.
  11. Heinrich - It's a CMFI game file. Save to your "Saved Game" folder and open within CMFI. You can then watch the turn from any angle.
  12. Maps look fantastic! Great work Pete and Ben. I didn't notice any of the new dirt path tiles. Can we get a picture of those?
  13. Thanks for adding the summaries Noob. Helps a lot with sorting through the replay. I feel your pain with the Hunt command. I rarely use it now because of that. I sure miss the CMBO "hunt and continue" vs "hunt and stop."
  14. Noob - Thanks for posting the files. I'm following all the CMPzC's closely. It would be great if you could also give a quick summary (good/bad/ugly) of what happens each turn from your perspective.
  15. Agreed. Although we should be able to get it beforehand in a Pack. Steve? I don't need it to ford any rivers...just look cool.
  16. Are the driver and radio operator not looking out their vision ports? Should be at least three pairs of eyes looking forward.
  17. Here you go. It's about 3/4 way down the page. Think there are a few other pictures around showing them in Normandy. http://forums.gamesquad.com/showthread.php?104031-WW2-Photos/page48
  18. The other thing missing is the crew from the 76mm ATG. Did they abandon and plan on rejoining? Wishful thinking I know...
  19. My copy is in the mail. Looking forward to seeing the material.
  20. Excellent. Looking forward to this one.
  21. What was General Marcks (?) comments about them: "What do you expect from Russians (Poles, Urkranians, Turks, etc.) fighting for the Germans in France against the Americans"
  22. Outstounding! looking forward to seeing that in action and on uniforms. It does beg the question...why does Bulge need to be a new game and not a Normandy module (similar to CMFI and Bagration)? BTW Normal Dude, great job on keeping the flow of CMFI products rolling.
  23. Nice addition to the game Benpark. They look great.
  24. Looks great Rake. Looking forward to this one.
  25. Now that 2.0 is out I'm lookin forward to seeing your map JSB. ;-)
