  1. Tip: Tilt your head 90 degrees either CW or CCW until the north arrow magically faces up.
  2. To me, many of these long threads take on the air of a huge party, a 2 or 3 story house cram-packed with party goers. Steve's house? Anyway, you hack through the crowd to go take a leak and grab another beer. On the way..you pass by John Kettler over by the fireplace...there he is in his turtleneck sweater sipping an appletini rambling on about something to an attentively listening female with thick glasses but some large sized breasts. Behind her back I give John the thumbs up sign.... I hear loud screams and look outside to see that sublime just did a cannonball off the 2nd story balcony into Steve's pool. Followed by sburke and mjkerner? BFC Diamond Club Parties! gotta love 'em...
  3. Hi Stieli, I am enjoying the CMPzC Operation use of the original Ortona "Bloody Christmas" Campaign labors; the maps, OOB's and such..... I think we have 15 players participating. I know your question means, will this ever be released as a normal single-player campaign of battles against the AI. I would say yes, but I don't have a date yet. The Malta project is getting some new blood with folkie onboard to make maps. I want to do the same thing and fight it as a CMPzC Operation with players doing PBEM battles. THEN eventually make it a normal single-player campaign of battles against the AI.
  4. Final offer! Schwimmwagen, the lap dance AND the sheep...$70!
  5. I used to not like the idea that the Ost Front would be divided up by roughly "summer to spring" segments but now I see it as a good thing. If you don't like late war, you can just wait til Barbarossa for example and buy that family only versus HAVING to buy the Bagration family and get Barbarossa as a module. If BFC went with the single family approach, many folks would/could/might cry foul that is requires an evil marketing ploy to buy periods of the war you do not enjoy. Nothing is perfect. You can't please all of the people all of the time. I still think that BFC might benefit from the Diamond Customer Club. Pay $2500 now, get all families/modules/mouse pad and a lap dance.
  6. Thanks Ian. I normally just go off photobucket as I have a zillion images hosted all over these forums. But I am glad to now know how to do it thanks to your help.
  7. OK, you hit the button "more reply options" first to attach the screenshot file from your PC.
  8. Marco, The forum help provides some instructions. Try this link maybe. http://community.battlefront.com/index.php?app=core&module=help
  9. No big deal to me. Bruce90 had a thread in CMFI mods forum and was interested. It initially seemed to be an anomaly/bug in that in CMFI you see the CW troops with gear on but US troops had none. Then we learned the backstory from ASL. Here is a mod test with the large US packs from CMBN added on Canadian troops in CMFI. Below is the actual pack carried by CW in CMFI. BFC historical research says that CW troops did often enough wear these so they STAYED on the mdr files...same with the gear the Germans carry and the packs the Soviets have in CMRT.
  10. I know Steve. That was very cool of you to help out "s" when his chips were down. I also have already pre-gifted a copy to a modder who has done some special contract work for me. If I had a nickel for every hour I played CM or did something CM related it would offset the purchase costs. Bulge is gonna be just awesome. I sickly almost hope it doesn't get here until the winter if you know what I mean.
  11. On this page 21 of the forum, please raise your hand if you have gotten or will get a BFC game for "free"... Let me count, hold 'em up...thanks...1,2,3,4..come on, keep 'em up....5...,6...hmmm....maybe 7. that last one could be a maybe..... maybe 6 or 7 people on this forum page get the game "comped" for services rendered to BFC. Amateur Economic Theory: BFC is not registered as a non-profit organization. They are not a charitable group. There is no philanthropy involved. They are here to make money and stay in business. Mama wants a new pair of shoes. Cha-ching! BFC needs play testers, beta testers, scenario authors. It seems reasonable they would be more apt to renegotiate with the ones who show a protective attitude toward BFC in the forums. And it seems natural and reasonable that a playtester, beta tester, scenario/campaign author would carefully watch his criticism of the game, the company, the game price, etc, etc. She would naturally want BFC to charge a healthy higher price to keep the company in excellent financial health. More games, more modules, more testing, more free games. I'll pay $60 if I get a schwimmwagen!
  12. To clarify for the mortars/artillery based on a player's question by e-mail: Yes, linear is limited to the same numbers. But then the meters are the length and not the diameter. If just 1 mortar or gun, then the linear is really just an area circle anyway. Linear/Area fire mission length/diameter for 81 and 4.2" mortars is 1 mortar (22m), 2 mortars (44m), 3 mortars (66m), 4 mortars (88m). Linear/Area fire mission length/diameter for 25 pounders is 1 gun (38m), 2 guns (77m), 3 guns (115m), 4 guns (154). Applies to smoke as well. Applies to dropping of propaganda leaflets also.
  13. If the first mortar round hits the branches, it will probably clear them out of the way...for the next crew that shows to take over the mortar from the dead guys.
  14. Sorry Gary, not Hürtgenwald....I was aiming toward the delaying actions east of the Bastogne corridor... "Alamo in the Ardennes"
