  1. A firm reminder on the fire support rules. Area fire mission diameter for 81 and 4.2" mortars is 2 mortars (44m), 4 mortars (88m). Area fire mission diameter for 25 pounders is 1 gun (38m), 2 guns (77m), 3 guns (115m), 4 guns (154).

  3. SovietPach... Maybe you already feel this way? I recommend that as soon as possible, make the break AWAY from playing against the AI. And never look back! Get into the PBEM world using CM helper and see the game get so much more dynamic when H2H. A short, small PBEM can maybe be done in an evening if you and your opponent hit it back and forth like a tennis ball. Or do a long game of chess with a huge 2 hour battle that takes months. Bishop to queen's rook 7!
  4. Good morning from Texas. Sorry for the delay in response. Yes, to both of you. Let TIGER67 do his set-up and when he is done the next increment numbered file 003 will appear in the folder and then it is your allied set up. EDIT: I will e-mail all of you as a group to open a way for quick communication in the event of a PBEM issue.

  8. CMFI has flamethrowers? I guess I get confused on which games have what. Like tank riders.... Not all 3 families have tank riders. Just CMRT, right? Anyway, CMFI GL is great. Buy it!
  9. I will try this weekend to post some FOW-neutral info and screenshots on how the above assault is progressing. Kuderian is attacking with Irish Guards Shermans and infantry into a hex defended by Fizou. What can be said is that a few tanks have been KO'd and a few Pak40 crews have also gone to valhalla!
  10. Not sure, maybe you said this. But see if you can get the entire CMFI + GL bundle at a savings and it allows you 4 seasons of warfare, plus the Commonwealth troops. Just CMFI by itself has less toys and fun.

  12. A thank you to folkie for his kind help to make us the San Donato map. I hope we see some screenshots of the action.
  13. San Donato battle is created and axis has the file for their set-up. Allied force has an exit zone strip in their backfield in case the probe fails they can withdraw as per instructions from Chappy. If any questions on the map, set-up zone, forces, etc. Holler right away. I will do the hex 3,6 and 3,7 battles after work tonight.

  18. Campaign is in progress. No AAR in this thread if the action of a battle is described in a separate thread. But overall we dropped the AAR mandatory requirement. The current battle is 10 minutes into a 40 minute timeframe. EDIT: Go see the allied side's thread, it has photos of the battle.
  19. That is a shame that when BFC put Canadians into CMFI they just didn't do the red patch then. I will jump on it this weekend. Then I will upload it to the GaJ site and put a link here.
  20. Dang. I guess I better try to do a mod to put the red patch on the CM uniforms. Right now in CMFI it is a light blue, not even sure which Canadian division that is. Do you know Mark? Should be an easy mod to just change the color.
  21. I don't have any Panzer Battles games but it came up as a result when I googled "Panzer Campaign Smoke". I didn't even know they existed. The only reason I bought the Panzer Campaigns games was to harness the Operational fun for CM. I am reluctant to get involved in a new game system and have to go through the learning curve to know all the keyboard codes and such stuff. That is to me a great thing about CM. No matter which theater/family..it is all the same for the mouse/keyboard. And the scenario editor too. Do you have many choices for Mac compatible wargames? Got any artillery buddies that can tell us how many WW2 25 pounder rounds are needed to smoke a 1000mx1000m area in light to /moderate winds? Reminds me of a PBEM I played and the opponents got pissed off and quit I think. I smoked out the whole battlefield! One of my first PBEMs and probably the first time I had a bunch of artillery. Played as British in CMFI. It built up and built up and I was embarrassed a bit! Map was not 1000x1000 though...
  22. John Tiller "Panzer Battles" series has 250m hexes and HAS smoke but maybe because PzC is 1000m hexes, it is not in there?
