  1. I am trying to get you some winter vehicles for each side and some troops to write a small scenario! Today is a good day so I will try and work on this T-34.
  2. @Marco2marzo @Snols Of all the guys who expressed interest way long ago, only a handful actually showed when needed for whatever reason, no offense to them I hope... But now you are our only 2 true communist heroes. We need you to each pick a battle and as Comrade Slimovich said, kick the Germans in the teeth.
  3. I have also checked to see if the axis file has been returned. No reply yet. It always takes a few turns to work out the kinks. But he did have a defensive set up as well for the greater overall battle. Maybe he is positioning everything down to the Luger? "....little to the leftttt...bit more..bit more...RIGHT THERE!" EDIT: YES, his defensive set up is still in progress...maybe a day or 2 more! But then it should kick in at the usual rate.
  4. Hi Bulletpoint, This is "Budapest '44" a title in the "Panzer Campaigns" series by John Tiller Software. Yes, there are zones of control and 3 different options for the rules regarding moving through an enemy ZOC. I went with this Nyakleves as the option that it is possible to cross through an enemy ZOC but at increased movement penalty. The 2nd option is you flat out cannot pass through enemy ZOC. The 3rd option is that you can only if you leapfrog through friendly units in the hexes you transit through. The option I picked seemed to match this period of the war, the terrain and the mechanized nature of the forces. So, those Soviet units were in travel mode for best distance achievable and only got those few hexes. They suffered significant penalty as they cut through there. They were also shot at by those axis units ("ADF" Automatic Defensive Fire) ....but lady luck was on their side and no effect was achieved. They could have taken losses or been disrupted. I am not an expert at what is best but try and experiment with this hybrid mix of the 2 games.
  5. You want some H2H CMFI GL Canadian action? PM me and I will take good care of you....
  6. Hans focused through his thick glasses to see if these devils really did wear baggy pants.
  7. 23rd Army Command Dispatch: Scout forces have approached the enemy town of Nyiregyhaza and see it lightly defended by a small Hungarian unit with some armor. We have word that a platoon of Penal Company infantry are guarding several immobile T-34's along the Migojo road. See below map. If the axis forces do not attack to destroy the isolated group, they can potentially be "rescued" by Soviet forces entering that hex during Turn 4A.
  8. OK, the Allies have made their many moves and declared 2 assaults. Unfortunately the moves included one deep into your rear that has cause an "isolated" status to appear. They have JUST cut off your supplies and the results will start to be seen in battles starting now and the impact gets uglier as long as you let the isolation continue. Here is what you can see. The 2 assaults are coming at the forest dwellers, (dark blue against red) and that hex next to them (light green against yellow). You also had a small pioneer zug enter on the map by foot. There is also a very odd unit (in black) that appeared but you can't see much about. Does not yet seem to be motorized. Small size overall....
  9. Excellent! I will process it and provide feedback. Thanks Comrade Slimovich... EDIT: It can all happen as you asked except the forces sent up to recon Nyirgehazaya cannot conduct an assault THIS same turn. They ran out of MP. (I will provide recon report from them a bit later.) I will rack up the 2 battles. Get me 2 trusted commanders! EDIT: the 27th has 14 tanks, I will fix that next time. They came back from crew replacement. Lots of crew headshots during the attack on Migojo.
  10. No problem Mark. These long battles can be a tough chore. You've made it really enjoyable for the peanut gallery. And for me.
  11. I have prepared the Tier 1 pack (150MB) and will send it to those map makers that want to make some small CMRT winter maps. I have pulled the photoshop brushes out of the trash dumpster to try again to mod some vehicles.
  12. For both sides I try to always follow a certain SOP for vehicles. For the victors who take or retain the battlefield and then pass some die rolls, perhaps their vehicles could be repaired and could show up in a follow on turn. Note: If it is a burning hulk then it is a goner.
  13. OK, those were your random rolls and I have a chart which then gets you a replacements report. So, for 5,7,15 you get artillery, temporary use (1 op turn), Korps heavy artillery battery. 4x210mm Howitzer (Mrs18 Brummbar).
  14. OK, I am gonna start to rattle some cages and ask for assistance. By PM. Come on over to my house and we paint my garage and I cook a big dinner afterwards. Analogy!
  15. General Mirek! @mirekm61 Please give me the following 3 roll results you randomly obtain and I will provide back to your axis HQ some random action card fun.... A. D1 (1-6) B. D2 (2-12) C. D3 (3-18) Understand?
  16. Turn 3A 1000 local 23 SEPT 1944 and the Soviets are revving up their engines! They get to do some movements first... ...and I bet you guess they will make at least one big well supported assault? Good news for axis is that the Luftwaffe has aircraft inbound to support your ground troops at the CM level. Details to follow. I will have an "action card" for you later today...
  17. The Allied Commander will be SLIM who is evaluating the intel and will make some operational decisions.... (Up above a few posts I had asked Baneman but I was confused. He has offered to play as axis CO if needed and has stayed out of the allied thread.) It is Turn 3A, 1000 local on 23 SEPT 1944, and the Soviets are revving up their engines!
  18. Here is the latest Op Map with color coded intel on axis forces in view. And the allied forces in relative positions from the op map hexes if you follow me. Running out of colors!
