  1. I'm on third mission "Le grand Hameau", can I spend all my mortars and howitzer power in that mission and, in the next mission, will I have artillery (howitzer)? I ask that because I think that if you spend all your howitzer artillery in one mission you will not have the next one. It works the artillery howitzer like that? Some advice with the artillery in this campaing? Sorry but I don't want to read all the post to search an answer cause the spoilers Thanks for help. Loved the two first missions...
  2. That was noticed before but I think this tread it's good to remember it: - Destroyed vehicles are immovable For exemple, one destroyed jeep can block the way of the big Tiger tank. I Have see videos were people use this to block the way in streets Oh! one request for future Commonwealthmodule : motorbikes greetings
  3. You can make big holes in walls using a big explosion order next to him. Four explosion movements orders (big hole) two explosion movements (little one) Ask for help for the wiki (like Osfront did it) I recomend this sites http://www.puntadelanza.net/Foro/phpBB3/Spanish http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/thefgmforum/forumdisplay.php?161-CM-Battle-for-Normandy-Tacticsrealy good for noobs http://www.theblitz.org/message_boards/forumdisplay.php?fid=221 All I know its reading this sites and making my own test. Thanks to ricochet-tracer for his EXCELLENT post about C2. Sorry fo my english. Hope that helps for the wiki
  4. C2 questions? Look post nº6 http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=97744&highlight=C2-Basics
  5. Hilster hope this tread helps you http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=101037
  6. Yes, they give you ammo and jeeps with radio are very helpfull for be in contact with mortars
  7. The beta testers aren't "drones". That's rude, and not incredibly helpful. They are Roy Batty replicants Blade Runner type...They have souls and sentiments... They dream... (just kiding) Tank commanders are (usually) the most exposed men in their vehicles. Shrapnel is going to do a number on them before it hits the loader. Ok I understand that I have never seen any results indicating that leaders are *abnormally* likely to be hit. If you or someone else can provide some we can take a look. After playing all battles of the game I'mk on my last battle "Vierville". May be I finish it today and begings to play the campaings. I have no tests. It's my noob opinion after playing all battles (and repeating some of them them) "Ok my infantry unit it's advancing...Oh no! one casuality! Let's see... The leader again" Thanks for answers, your work and for that great game
  8. - Ridiculous detail: Spanish language (N, S, E, Oeste) in compass map remains in English language (N,S,E,W) - Leaders (infantry or tanks) wear magnet enemy bullet jackets
  9. You're welcome...Oh ! I forget you to say that you can pop smoke too at waypoints the same way Try with vehicles too !
  10. First, when you go to the leader artillery screen and it lists the mortars which are out of contact, is there an easy way to figure out which ones they are??? When you select an on-map mortar in the leader artillery screen, that mortar will changue to organe color in the map. Select the mortar then look for it on the map. I think ther is no button to jump directly over that mortar If a mortar is not in contact with it's platoon leader, can it be in contact via other nearby leades? I think yes. Be sure the mortar is deployed. Then be sure your mortar unit have voice or "see" or radio comand with the HQ how wants to direct the fire Is there any kind of designation of the UI as to whether a mortar is deployed other than going to the admin buttons and checking to see if it's green? You can see "deploy" or "not deploy" in the UI mortar's panel directly. You can also Aproach to the mortar unit with the camera and see if they are deployed ;-) But can you tell which mortars are out of contact without finding them and selecting? seems like you should be able to just click on them and figurevit out from the leader screen which is listing them as being out of contact. I don't understand this question very well, sorry :-S Hope info helps
  11. If the wind arrow is faceing west < - , why does the smoke go -> east ? Wind from west, the smoke will go to east. You can see wind direction in "parameters" button (the pannel when you want to save the game) Do i have to face west? If you want to throw smoke from an unit in a specific direction: 1)Select the unit 2) Give that unit a "face" command (in the movement menu) 3) Then select "smoke" 4) The blue line of face will change to a purple line (smoke) The unit will pope smoke (if they have) next turn (in wego) And how do i stop the guy from laying his smoke in the wrong place? I don't know how to do that in WEGO. But next turn you can cancel the "smoke" order with "cancel movement" or "cancel traget" (i don't remember now) or pushing again the "smoke" buton. Hope that helps
  12. I wrote in my letter to Santa for antiaircraft cover arc and flammers... ;-D
  13. Destroy that house :-) It will be an easy target, the unit who is inside will be pinned (may be they retreat) and the house defenses less effective to procect their occupants.
  14. Be sure your MG team is IN the bocage square and not a little bit separated of it. When you're close to bocage set "deploy" order and wait a few seconds (deploy time). I think when your MG team is not deployed, their LOS is not good. But when the MG is deployed the LOS line becomes blue. Try with this. Hope that helps
  15. The first thing, I think, it’s to try to mantaing the line of command with your HQ unit (infantry or vehicles) The units will spot with more facility the enemy. Units are not robots. They need a little bit of time to spot the enemy (elite fast, green slow and HQ command level) The infantry are the “eyes” of your vehicles. So go first with the infantry and scout the terrain before go with your vehicles. Vehicles spot well when they are unbuttoned but try not to expose them prematury (you know the results) Split your infantry units in temas with a scout team, for example I’m a noob too, and I wait with interest the advices of other experienced players Take a look at this video [email=http://www.battlefront.com/community/announcement.php?f=124&a=464]http://www.battlefront.com/community/announcement.php?f=124&a=464 Sorry for my English :-S hope my advices helps… Greetings
  16. The fellow with the bazooka thinking : "oh no! He's using again the binoculars at the wrong side! :D"
  17. Sorry, I don't understand this question :-S I don't know. You can make a test yourself with the editor...It's really easy to do test with it I think, yes If one deploys the ATG right next to the bunker, will the ammo team man the machine gun in the bunker AND carry out their ammo team duties? I did a test with a unit into a bunker and that unit don't give ammo (or share) to units that are outside the bunker. Maybe another player with more experience could help... (70 reads and no reponses.. !ay caramba!)Anyway play with the editor. It's very simple and...Share your results here! ;-)
  18. You're welcome...Oh I found the member who recomended this great site. It was lookeylou at this tread (post 25): http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=98454&page=3 So thanks to him from all noobs of the world ;-) ...
  19. Someone in this forum recomended this site (sorry I don't remember who). Hope that helps you...But don't forget to writte your questions here! http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/thefgmforum/showthread.php?8379-Who-can-cross-what
  20. Pg 89 CMBN manual ACQUIRE The Acquire command allows an infantry unit to pick up equipment, weapons and ammunition from points where such goodies are available. In CM:BN, this usually means from infantry carriers such as halftracks and trucks which usually carry additional equipment in storage compartments. In order to use Acquire, the infantry unit has to enter the vehicle first. A pop-up window lists all available equipment that the unit is eligible to choose from. Clicking on an entry removes the equipment or ammo from the list and places it into the inventory of the passenger unit. Note: while soldiers automatically can share ammo without explicitly being ordered to (from nearby vehicles, or from nearby infantry units in their formation, as well as through buddy aid), the Acquire command gives you greater direct control. Restrictions - only active when the infantry unit is inside a valid pickup area, such as inside a halftrack or truck Example - after nearly an hour of continuous combat, the armored infantry platoon is running out of ammo. We split the squads into teams and order them into the nearby halfracks one by one to grab fresh ammo. Ey with that post i'm a member now Thanks! Hope the reply helps you
  21. Someone recomended this site (sorry i don't remember who) It's really useful, but don't hesitate to ask here, in this forum... http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/thefgmforum/showthread.php?8356-Bocage-Low-Bocage-and-Hedgerows
  22. Sorry for using this tread but you're speaking about LOS... I can check LOS from the last point of a row of movements, ok. But, can I check LOS with a FO or a HQ with radio to call for artillery fire, from a last way point of movement? It's possible to check LOS for artillery (the dartboard image when you use the artillery pannel) like we do when check LOS from the last way point of movement? Does the dartboard image from the artilley pannel works like the LOS? I hope I explained well my question... Thanks for the answers and greetings!
  23. Pg 107 Combat Mission BN manual: Type - sets the munition mix based on the target type: General - generic setting Personnel - weights in favor of airburst antipersonnel rounds. Note: Planned artillery strikes as well as strikes ordered on a TRP can airburst if set to a “personnel” target. Not all shells will airburst. This simulates the use of timed fuses. So general agains houses, fortifications, tanks etc...and personnel against infantry, opened vehicles, etc... Maybe another experienced player may add more information. That answer was easy to me... greetings
  24. Ok you can check LOS from the last waypoint of a movement line but...You're on the last waypoint of a movement line with a FO or HQ...You can check LOS for the artillerypanel option from tha last waypoint of the movement? Does the little orange dartboard from artillery panel appears, like the LOS, from a last waypoint? You can check where the artillery will falls (or if you can call artillery) from a waypoint of the movement line, like the LOS do? I don't know if I explained my question clearly, you people are very clever here, and i'm sure you'll understand my question (or not) Thanks and greetings
