  1. Maybe maybe not. Note the linked article says the Polish education minister has said he is considering starting extradition proceedings. Hummm there is a lot in that sentence that make this seem more like musings than actual action.
  2. If find it a bit wonky. To play PBEM++ (including the tournaments) you need a Matrix account. It seems that if you create one for the forum community that one can also be used to play. But you can also create one for playing PBEM++ but that does not automatically create a forum account. If you log into both sites you will have two different log in experiences and even though the user name and pw are the same and clearly some syncing happens, they are really two separate accounts. Its not how I would set things up but it is what it is. Things like this often happen organically and then get resolved to various degrees of seamlessness. At any rate anyone that created an account to play and didn't bother to create a community account first is probably not a good candidate for checking their DMs anyway so C'est la Vie.
  3. One other wrinkle that I suspect no one else has experienced but your symptom matches closes to this: you cannot use a launching tool to start the game. Or more precisely my tool (Whose Turn Is It?) cannot be used to launch the game in order to play a PBEM++ game. If you do logging in crashes or hangs. I have not figured out what the issue might be but to play you have to launch from the .exe or a windows short cut. I did a few rounds with support trouble shooting only to find it was my own damn fault - oops sorry @BFCElvis and the super nice guy a Matrix whose name I forget.
  4. Try including your email when logging into the system (make sure it is the one associated with the account) with any game that is doing goofy things. We now have two users who solved slightly different problems by doing that.
  5. OK that's really weird. @BFCElvis another example of someone logging in without a valid email causing odd side effects.
  6. I'm matched against chic44 in another facet of the tournament. I looked for him on the Matrix forum and didn't find him there either. Two out of my three opponents are not on the matrix forum and do not appear to be on the other popular war gaming sites either.
  7. This is user to user support not necessarily monitored by support personal. Someone recently had issues with turns being sent because they were able to log in with just the user name and pw leaving the email address blank. When you log in do you provide your user name, pw and email address? If not try doing that and see if that helps. Otherwise contact the matrix support group.
  8. We have had a non trivial number of Nazis slip in from the period after the war. There was even several grave site memorials to SS units put up when they passed. Some people turned a blind eye after the war for some of them. Others just managed to lie convincingly. Most have lived out their lives a few have been found out and prosecuted. Our speaker of the house is a by partisan appointment that is usually, but not always, a member of the ruling party. Their job is to enforce the house rules and maintain decorum (ish). They do not set the legislative agenda - that falls to the government house leader directed by the PM - a different and more powerful position.
  9. You should be able to get them to switch to the other angles. Play around until you get it to work.
  10. It's a challenging. It works like the trench system. You place a second wire segment near an existing one and they snap together. Rinse and repeat to create the line of wire. If I recall correctly you cannot orient a single segment you can only control the orientation with two or more.
  11. Adding more stuff to AFVs sounds like @The_Capt's "2. Anger - We will try to protect the tank, just so we can keep it viable." No doubt that is happening. a lot of booths at CANSEC this past year were all about drones. There were as many offering drone counters as there were drones.
  12. I received my three turns and played them all - just pw setting so no fun - yet I found only one of my three opponents has a Matrix community forum account and I sent them a direct message. I find their setup a bit odd. Why is the tournament account not tied to the community account? I would have hoped / assumed that if you signed up for the forum you would be ready to go for a tournament. In fact I think you are. But on the other hand I would also have expected that if you signed up for a tournament that created account would also be setup for the forum. That way at least people could DM their opponents easily. Sigh maybe some day ?
  13. That is odd. I do not experience that. Once I'm logged in I stay logged in until I shut down the game. Then I have to log in again next time I run the game.
  14. All of that looks fine and just what I did this morning for all three games. Just like a regular PBEM game the first turn is setting the pw and that is all you do. In this case leaving it blank makes it feel like you did nothing at all But what you did do was create a file ready for your opponent to play. The PBEM++ system will have sent that file to the server for delivery to your opponent. They get to do their setup and send the turn back to you. This I don't understand. You should return to the main menu of the game once the save dialog box goes away. However I don't know what "logged out of my Slitherine account" means. Can you clarify?
  15. Why would an Abrams fair any better than a challenger or a leopard 2? I know they are a good tank but they have all the same limitations and are just as vulnerable as any other tank.
  16. Keep hitting them as they leave. Then if they don't stop with the terror attacks keep hitting them after they leave.
  17. Airfields. Berdiansk, for example and Crimean of course Plus HQs and logistic sites that were moved out of HIMARS range.
  18. Hey @ViperAssassin26 have you considered uploading to the CM mods site: CM Mods IV?
  19. That wasn't a malfunction that was a rapid unscheduled disassembly.
  20. Correct it picks its own targets inside the area specified by the FO. I have seen them go just outside the area in the past. No, once the call has been made your FO does not make any difference that I have seen. Those people either made a second call after the CAS finished the mission or they cancelled the mission and made a new call. I'm not sure what the time limit is either. Once they are out of ammo they leave for good. I usually assume they are going to run out of ammo on the mission I called so if I really really want a subsequent call I'll cancel the first one while they still have ammo. Just to be sure. It's more guidance light means favour strafing and heavy means favour bombs. I have not really tried experimenting with how strong the effect is. For example I don't know if Light would prevent a plane armed like yours from dropping bombs at all. Hopefully someone else can chime in on that topic.
  21. While you can move mods in and out like @WimO suggests but if you have the HD space multiple installs works fine too. I typically have more then one install of the games but for me it's for managing upgrades in PBEM and testing.
  22. Yeah, this kind of thing can be annoying. I had Vista and was staying away from Windows 8. A photo cataloguing program I use came along and said they were dropping support for Vista. I wasn't too worried since I had been using their Beta and it worked fine. Release came and they f***ing added code to refuse to run on Vista. I was very annoyed. Dropping support is one thing but actively preventing the software from running that's really frustrating.
  23. There is actually a private messaging system with your Matrix account. It seems that new messages there do not trigger an email. Matrix changing that would go a long way.
