  1. Well bugs are certainly possible. It is supposed to be complete. So, let's look at what you observed one by one. I guess that sounds surprising but it is possible. If the alternate history back story has the Assad regime buying lots of new kit... I am not versed on the actual purchases that Syria made or the back story. Anyone else have thoughts on that? Not available would likely be better wording. My understanding was that there was no QB system in the old game. Don't get me wrong I think it should be there and I wish I had thought about it. Interesting problem. I have a nagging feeling there is a reason behind that but I'm not sure what it is. ? Points are points. Crappy forces cost less.
  2. You also need to add the key you got from the new bundle. If I misunderstood or that doen't work you will need to open a ticket with support.

  4. And that's a problem. What you just described is how I think it should work. I'd log a bug for any other way of things "working".
  5. Uninstall and delete the unpacked installer files you used to install the first time. Create a new empty folder and unzip the downloaded installer into that directory. Then run the installer from there and don't add any mods and see if that fixes it. A string mod from a non matching version or different game can cause surprising strings to show up. If you run an installer from a location where other CM install files are located the install will be messed up and you will see crazy stuff like this.
  6. And alt+t to make sure trees are turned on. Also shift+ESC to turn off the pause notice. If you do that once then all future presses of the play / pause button will also not display the pause notice.
  7. I believe this is correct behaviour. Same for M3 and Swf 25x half-tracks in the WW2 games.
  8. Interesting idea. That could be turned into a feature. I suppose having time based victory conditions could be used as in put to the victory level and that could then be used for campaign branching. I think the implementation would be possible but who knows if BFC would consider it important enough relative to their other plans is and open question. Agreed

  11. And Mogrify from ImageMagick allows you to script the cropping. I have a screen shot script that crops out all the UI elements and does a little sharpening - very handy.
  12. OK tracked down and logged. The good news in a new scenario it seems to be cosmetic only. I was not able to have guys fire through the gap or pass through it. The bad news is in the shipping scenario troops certainly can pass through a solid wall - oops. I didn't test firing through it but hey it wouldn't surprise me.

  14. Yeah, Steve likes to slow roll things. Any time a new product gets released there are frequently one or more store issues, download issues, email confusion or any number of other things. He likes to have a small number of people to start accessing things (the vocal and visible forum members usually) and reporting problems. If the people here run into trouble or see weird stuff he knows we will post about it. That way he can fix those unexpected things before the silent masses start trying to buy / download the product.

  16. Just a quick update. I will be releasing a new version of icons for CMSF and CMBS in the near future (no idea when exactly) that will in corporate the feed back from @Combatintman. In the mean time I have been using my older CMSF icons just fine in v2: http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=2684
  17. Some kind of mistake. Please open a ticket - that's the fastest way to get the problem in front of the people who can fix it. (which is not me BTW :-)
  18. I recall it being discussed but I didn't realize that troops could move through them or take fire from them. I just checked and I don't see it in the bug list. I will either find it or log it if it really is not in the list already.
  19. I believe the campaigns from the modules have not been reworked but every thing else is done. If I recall correctly the plan was to ship the old campaigns with the game. So, nothing is totally missing. I didn't look at that in the later builds so that is from memory - I only have access to my phone at the moment .
