  1. Hang in there Heyhellowhatsnew. I wish you the best and hope that it is all just a scare. I had a rare tissue cancer 10 years ago...out of the blue, with really no family history of any type of cancer. But they got it all and no trace of it has ever re-emerged. Good outcomes exist!
  2. Phil, email sent with the readme addition. Yes, you can add teams from one type of unit into the other when setting up a QB or editing a scenario--it works well.
  3. Lol, I'd settle for a tram as a flavor object. @Broadsword; yeah, that's the way I see it, too.
  4. Erwin, do you have Aris'(I think it was his) wounded faces mod?
  5. I just looked into it, Broadsword. Either the RR track bmps or the cobblestone bmps could be modded (put the cobblestone textures on the RR file, or the tracks--with no ties-- on the cobblestone), but as you noted, all the tiles of whatever one was modded would have the tracks. I might give it a go, if I ever get the Crete stuff done.
  6. I've used the skull mod since forever. It was one of the veteran modders, but can't remember who.
  7. Phil, I already did 28th Div helmets in my first uniform mod for CMBN two years ago. I just did some renaming, added normal maps, and added some snow camo versions. They are in our DB. I also added more regular US paratrooper helmets, deleted a few snow-camo ones, and then made two folders: one with both Para and 28th Div helmets and one with US Para and generic infantry helmets. I figure by including the para helmets with the infantry ones, people would have one less folder to dick around with when changing US helmet mods. Also, can't mix FJ and regular German helmets, unfortunately, because of the helmet model-to-uniform model file association within the game. I renamed the FJ uniform model to show as the German greatcoat model (the greatcoat model now has the FJ model mdr-mds names)...but the game associates FJ helmets only with the FJ models. All uniform models have distinct helmet models associated with them. No way to mix and match.
  8. My brother's doctor (in a small town) has a pretty good sense of humor. About 15 years ago he had his first proctology exam. Brother Steve made some quip about being careful back there, to which his Doc replied "you only have to worry if you feel both my hands on your hips."
  9. Another vote for No! @Tempestzzz and John K.: I know, but I absolutely hate watching shows or movies on a computer. I have to check Apple TV/Netflix to see if they have them available. I did about a year ago and they didn't.
  10. Ah, good ol' Rumpole. Haven't seen it in 30 years. My then-wife and I used to love that show. Time to check and see if it's available on DVD.
  11. From all the pictures I've seen, they do appear relatively consistent within units, but I can't confirm that. They are traditional tribal designs and colors, as I understand it, so I think they should be at least look very similar. But I like a little variation, so we'll see how they end up.
  12. :)Yes I did, Phil. I have the DVD too.
  13. Hey Phil, I actually started doing that. I have some of those old Squadron books, btw. Not the one you're talking about, though.
  14. Coming along. Need to fix little things like the front of the collar and desaturate some of the gear and whatnot. but I'm also thinking that the djebella are too light -colored and don't have narrow-enough stripes (the texture distortion when they are kneeling is unavoidable). Undecided for now...
  15. Jason, you are really HAL 9000, aren't you? Or Albert Einstein's long lost grandson, maybe? Your answers to any question/issue always impress me.
  16. What we really need is more Chuck Norris!
  17. By the way, when I was a kid...50 plus years ago...we had fewer gun control laws, and many more guns (it seems like, anyway, in my little hometown), but many fewer mass shootings nationally. Charles Whitman in the Austin University Campus Tower, the " in Cold Blood" killings in Kansas, and Charles Starkweather's spree killings were about it in the 50's and 60's as far as I recall. But liberal attitudes toward the mentally ill and juvenile/younger adult crimes took hold in the 70's and 80's, and it seems to me to correlate well with the increase in mass violence, considering gun laws have also gotten stiffer since I was a kid. Then you have the senseless violence-type games like Grand Theft Auto, and of course more casual violence in movies and TV, all apparently adding to the mix. But that's just my personal take on it.
  18. Para, no offense taken here. But we do care about senseless shootings. Unfortunately, the ways in which we address the truly mentally ill needs to change. Around here, most are medicated (inevitably when these shootings and other violent crimes are committed, the person was off his or her meds), and let loose on the community. Walking downtown Madison you will encounter numbers of them on any given day. Also, as cold as it sounds, those nasty mass shootings are outliers...just like CM spotting, penetrations, etc.
