Interesting story, how near Kyiv during unexploded bomb removing and checking the ground around were found remains of eight Hawker "Hurricanes", which probably were deliberately scrapped by USSR after the war in order not to pay for Lend-Lease requirements for equipment, which remained intact. From the planes were removed all valuable equipmment and just its frames were towed to the ravine and burried by bulldozers. 
Now National Aviation Museum tries to excavate all remains for reassembling and putting to exposition at least one fighter.

Northern flank of Bakhmut. UKR 57th mot.inf.brigade restored own gains, lost two days ago and probably again entered to Berkhivka

The enemy launched counter-offensive toward Berkhivka and could burst into important village on Artiomovsk [former Soviet name of Bakhmut]. Armored group of 57th brigade of AFU could breack through first defense line and enter on outskirts of this strattegical important settlement.

The battle on Oleshky bridgehead is continue. According to mesages, after commander injury (I remind, clashes are going under continous fire from higher bank of Dnipro) our units withdrew from the bridge and the enemy again took theses positions. The hotel is our. All reprts about elimination of bridgehead turned out untimely

The situation is getting out of control. We have wounded and killed. Yes, khokhol is dying too. But, situation came under their control. We believe. Clashes continue.

The n-word is surfacing. Mines Mines Mines. The aim is not to recapture all of Ukrainian land, maybe not even 75%, but to destroyed the RA in place, while rolling the dice for a major moral collapse in the RA where by the UA cuts off Crimea and then can negotiate from strength.

With arty shells at a premium and no air support to pound Russian conscripts, those mines are force multipliers for a the defender. On a much larger scale, this sort of reminds me of the US urgency over solving IEDs in Iraq. NATO supplied ordnance has killed thousands of Russians. What's the big deal with precision NATO airstrikes on Ukrainian soil that will by definition kill less? 

They didn't even bother to put ERA on the rolling coffins. That is if they roll of course, they might have to be towed to their crews final resting place.

Moore's Law has been dead for quite a long while though. Computing power still increases, but far from doubling every two years. More like slight increases of 5-10 pct. every two years, and it gets slower and slower and more and more expensive to keep it up.

Important milestone for Ukraine.  They have taken land in and around Krasnohorivka.   According to the BBC that's the first time they have retaken land that was stolen back in 2014.
Seems like the offensive has picked up a little steam lately.
 

I am starting to have real doubts about the command of the 47th. they seem to be very prominent in videos of things going badly wrong.

The Poles would be In Minsk in 3 days, The Finns in Moscow in a week. The would be shaking hands in front of the Winter Palace in St Petersburg in 24 hours, scratch that TWELVE hours. Literally, absolutely, nothing is holding Russia together except nukes. 

How many think Prig will be dead in 6 months?   Just him being alive makes Putin look weak.
But what really makes Putin look weak is how quickly he left Moscow.  Fled like a little coward.  Oh yeah, we all seen his tough guy image, posing shirt off with all those muscles, but deep down he's a little man afraid of his own chef.   Hell, even Stalin remained in Moscow in the face of the Nazi juggernaut.    Contrast Putin's behavior with Zelensky staying in Kiev as the russian tanks rolled south.   Before that moment I thought he was some kind of joke, but you never know what somebody's made of until they face the fire.   There's just no substitute for leadership.   That's why Ukraine will win.

Two things seemed utterly clear to me that are not happening in Russia right now:
1: When trying to take over power through a coup/mutiny/civil uprising, always be sure to kill the current leader. AND DO NOT HESITATE!!
2: If you have an uprising, insurrection or mutiny on your hands, immediately and mercilessly try get rid of it with everything you have at your disposal. AND DO NOT HESITATE!!
 
Neither is happening, and that is the biggest mystery to me.
 

My opinion not count for much because I am a lurker, but personally I do not follow any social media so this is my only feed about the events outside of mainstream media. As such, for me it is fine for this one thread to go a bit faster than normal on a day when more is happening. But summaries are also fine. Mainstream media (e.g. Guardian live thread) seem to do it this way since they need more confirmation of rumor. Whatever you do, thank you for translating and sharing your thoughts.
