  2. Aye. This wasn't really meant to be a modern day thing. Just a good ol run and gun game. More cinematic than anything really. Makes for nice recordings if you place the screen in one of the bunkers and look out onto the beach. You kinda have to picture that these guys are actually WW2 guys instead of modern MOUT troopers. True I don't have Marines because I think seriously, 1.10 is great and good enough for me. And the goggles just dont do it for me. I forgot about mud though. I have the muddy waters mod from CMMODS that makes the mud look like water rather than... well... mud. So if you get that mod, it looks real nice. I actually used MOUT because their squads could be split into smaller segments (3 over 2) so you had more control. Let me remind anyone that the ground is not my map (elevations, buildings). All I did was bring in more units, add the "water" textures, increase red defenses, put the random walls on the beach, WAY more craters, and more red bunkers. Cheerios.
  3. There are some maps that have hills that only infantry can run on and not tanks. I don't know if that's what your asking but yea.
  4. I just uploaded a scenario to CMMODS. Its a map by another person (permanent666) that I just changed around a little. I want to start making scenarios and I thought that would be a good place to start (editing some1 else's map). How is the balance and the other little things I put in there? For reference, the original map is listed just below mine when chronologically ordered. Thanks
  5. maybe its Vista. I have it so we can check for consistencies. I'm kinda hesitant to download FRAPS because I hear that during gameplay, it takes a lot of resources to run. I'll try it though.
  6. When I'm in the middle of a game and I press the PRt Sc button, I can only paste this big, ugly black square. How come this happens?
  7. The bunkers in the air is a bug. All you have to do is give it a face command and it will drop back down. Also, even if the bunkers are in the air, when you play, it will be in the proper positions. (i'm assuming you mean the Scenario Editor bunkers)
  8. ok. It works fine now. I just deleted the Scenario Editor tile from my z folder so now it looks as it did before the mod. thanks

  10. Feedback- I just played your map. VERY good base map The look of the ground is very nice. However, I just went into scenario editor and added short wall segments all over the beach, more craters, and WAY more blue units. My blue guys got mowed 3 times in the first few times i played. I also took out to static tanks cuz they just kill too quickly. I plan to add some more bunkers to the Red team and make some destroyed strykers on the beach. I might upload what I did to CMMODS tomorrow so that you can see. I might also remove the Reinforcements for the Blue Team as the units I added were enough to capture the trenches. Very nice map for a first time.

  13. When I use the Mud tile in 1.10, the scenario editor lags like nobody's business. Is this just me or is it a universal issue with every1?
  14. lol That's fine. Your making a mod and people should know that. However, just a suggestion, at the butt of the M16, there are 3 streaks of dirt that are really apparent and it makes the dirtyness look the exact same for all the rifles. Maybe it needs to be toned down so that it doesn't stand out so much.
  15. aye. I forgot to mention that I don't have the Marines module so the m16 doesn't really apply to me but will be great for many other people. I already have a dusty m4 mod from the link at the beginning of the thread but the dust is really subtle and you need to zoom in a lot to see it. However, if the dust is REALLY apparent, then it looks cloned. So just a light brushing will do.
  16. yes it is. Also, maybe some concrete barriers that those used to block roads. And higher sandbagged positions
  17. i agree with the radio thing although i don't think there is such thing as an idle animation in CMSF cuz there aren't any. but then a new death thing would need to be made if the commander got killed with the radio. I think socked goggles would also be nice as well as unsocked ones.
  18. Can someone make a mod with dust on all the weapons to make them look less "shiny" and "clean"?   19. The goggles from the betas actually looked good so i hope that BFC can maybe bring them back as random wares that some soldiers have and some don't
  20. YAMM is a mod on CMMODs made by someone... I forgot. So when they say yamm.brz, i think they mean the one at CMMODs i mean I think that the band o brothers spash is a little thing that you can add to the "yet another menu mod" menu mod. Its like an alternate background for that mod. So in order for the splash to come up, we need to get YAMM first of CMMODS, then this thing, then unpack YAMM, overwrite a .bmp with this one, and put it back into the z folder. That's what I see from the readme.
