  1. Thanks. Actually I had that defending scenario in mind. I'm currently making part 2 for this scenario. This time German forces will delay attacking US forces. I might do mini campaign, so you can have your survived forces in second part. But meanwhile there's 1.0 version and 1.1 will be updated to repository soon.   4. It would be nice if someone could make short "scenario maker guide". I'm talking about few pages long tips. Specially what you should edit like battle size, weather etc. and what to add to mission text. I'm sure guide like this would encourage more scenario makers. Making map is the most time consuming business (and play testing scenarios). If used ready maps, making scenario is easy and more people should try it. It will also give you inside how objectives and AI work in this game.
  5. Thanks for feedback lookeylou! I have uploaded final version to Reposition - should be online anytime soon. I lowered 40% friendly casualty 'penalty' to 500 points (assigned to US ai player). So if you take all objectives you should get minor victory. If you keep casualties low and give hell to AI forces, you can get major victory. You're right that 1000 points was little too high for 40% casualties. I might take 10-15 minutes out of time limit too. When play testing I usually end up remaining 20 minutes or even more. I'm thinking reusing this map on defence-delay scenario as German forces. First I wanted to make mini campaign: first attacking, then delaying on same map. I might do both.
  6. Made some major changes for AI plans and units. Also some changes made to map. It should be more challenging now and some surprises too. I'm pretty happy, but few more play tests and Operation Eisenbahn is ready for release.   8. Oh, didnt know that you can start only editor. Where can I open editor only in windows mode?!? Cant't find it... ?
  9. Have you guys made CThrough really work on CM:N? On my Windows 7 it doesn't work. It works perfectly on Windows like Mozilla, but no go in Combat Mission...
  10. Cthru doesnt work in CM. Or it might work if we get CM work in window mode. Is it possible to open CM in windows?
  11. Hah ahah! You managed to got overlay function for map editor. It's seems to work just nice. Maybe I try to copy your invention (at work there should be one projector laying unused). Hmmm.. I wonder is there 3rd party programs that could make CM:N windows transparent...
  12. I found out that you can create larger gap blasting same place twice. It will not work everytime, but that way you can make gap large enough for vehicles.
  13. I play realtime only and big battles (over two companies) are hard to play. I too play smaller scenarios. Often platoon or two size battles are the most fun to play. Of course this is a matter or taste.

  17. Few more pictures: Minor modifications made to AI, forces and objective scores. Also added scenario text, pics and made up final name for scenario. Scenario is called Operation Eisenbahn. I kept original name for downloading purposes, but in the scenario list it's found under "Operation Eisenbahn". BTW, anyone interested checking grammar in mission and designer note?
  18. Bazookas or panzerfausts cannot be fired from within enclosed spaces (buildings or bunkers). Something to with backfire.
  19. I rechecked friendly direction. Axis north (enemy) and south US (ai). This was north-east road between hedgerows. AI deployed bazooka team to the road and not hedgerow as I have planned. I added setup zone little further and added second order to advance to hedgerow. That should do the job.
  20. How do you avoid AI deploying units to wrong side of the hedgerow? I have added enemy and friendly direction, but no use.

To obtain victory frienfly fire must be under 30% and most of the terrain objectives achieved (touch objectives only). Playable on German side against US ai.   22. There are many units that are missing now. German paratroopers, SS units and R35 example. R35 will be top on my list.
  23. I have earlier suggested that how about if we could get overlay function for map editor. If you have played Matrixgames High way to the Reich (or newer Command Ops: Battles from the Bulge) you know what I mean. The concept is simple and genius. You can import background picture to map editor. Make sure you choose right pixels to make map right scale. Then simply "over draw" your game map. From experience I can say this works perfectly. Especially making contour lines is much more easier when you have something in background and you simple draw marks to over background map.
  24. Finnish postal office (Itella) send notification that my Steelbox is in custom. Had to pay extra taxes (23%) that's 13 euros. Totally Steelbox was 60$ + 20€ handling + taxes totally over 100 euros. With that price I could buy two "normal" games. Well... The box is nice though I hope, but manual is THE reason why I bought it. Few days maybe and then I receive it. BTW. It took about 5 minutes to pay extra taxes to custom all online - no phone call, no hasling. Their webpage service rocks! Five star for Finnish custom office!
  25. I have one campaign in mind. You're part of Luftlande 91st division and suddenly it's raining men with big pockets. In this campaign you need to save your forces for a next battle, so defending to the last man will not be right choice.
