Hubert, I'm beginning to see your point about the chances of Japan beating the US outright as being impossible. If the value for oil is going to be 5x operational value, then Japan will be beaten quickly with all of those oil reserves the US has compared to Japan's only oil reserves in the Dutch East Indies.

Thetwo when you say "damage was substantial" what do you mean by this, because truth is you rarely hear about. So I can't imagine losses where that great. On top of it all they did this act in the worst possible time (Spring). So there was little to no chance of the Japs achieving what they set out for.

Well Germany, Japan, & Italy decided to attack these nations so shame on them for taking more than what they could handle. I have looked at there transports, and I agree there no where as good as ours but the simple truth is if they attacked early on there wouldn't have been this great allied combined force to repel them immedately. Believe me if that was even remotley possible I would agree with you that they didn't have any chance at success. What I do think would have happenend is every abled bodied american & Canadian from my grandfather on would have picked up a gun and went west to kill the Japs, but that would take time. In other words I think the Japs where capable of getting troops on mainland North America, but from then on it would have been a disaster, and because of it would have ultimately speed up the decline of Japan, but probably let Germany & Italy survive a little longer. Since of course we wouldn't be producing arms and fighting troops for Europe but for our on land.

Blashy of course the USA was one of them another less known one was Italy. On DDAy however the Germans did recieve warning from one of there spies however he was a double spy and informed them only 3 hours in advance. The reason for our success in DDAY was that most of the German 300K troops you speak of where only capable of a static defense and nothing more. On top of that Hitler wouldn't give Rommuel total control of the forces in France further limiting Germany's chances of success. On top of that there was Sabotage, and the allied soldiers bravery on the front. Combine all of this and you would realize the Germans didn't have much of a chance at success. For the Jap question the Japs were perfectly capable of launching any invasion because they would have had naval & air superiorty over an allied nation including your Canada.

If the Japs could succeed at a total suprise like in Pearl Harbour there would be a good chance of them succeeding in takeing beaches on the west coast. Fact is if they attacked I believe they would have advanced all the way to Chicago before we would push them back. Plus the Japs had good transports and Amphibious transports remember they were the first to create them. In the first year in the war Japan could win any battle after that they would be doomed for defeat. Even Isoroku Yamamoto knew this.

Yes I'm sure it's different, but I can't imagine it's totally different, and if it isn't I bet people like yourself, moon, etc could beat the US outright by being Japan.

Hubert Carter my guess is the vets will be able to pull it off against the AI and novice skilled other players after that though it's a crapshoot.

8 square miles is about 2 towns combined, and to only get that for 2 million people is simply beyond absurd. Just out of curiosity arado234 could you tell me what happens in 1918? Just so people can compare that to 1915.

AZGungHo, This is the problem with the world there are to many ignorant people (Canadians, and French in particular) that can't accept what we have done for them. I'm also a member of the middle class and I couldn't agree with you more about that issue. Blashy, Canada simply hasn't done anything for the world at large in there entire history. I wanted to write out a much longer response but I don't want to bring myself down to your Candian level. So to anwser your question look at any US history book from the start of the Pilgrims ownward. What I want to know is one thing that Canada did that makes her so great and better then the US?, and WWII doesn't count because that was won by 5 nations USA, UK, China, Australia, and India. Your forces where a joke in WWII and if you ask any German soldier who they would rather be fighting in the war, I assure you that it will be the Candians for there lack of Courage, heroism, bravery, you can simply go down the list. In truth your a joke of a nation that happens to border us so we will always unfourtantly have to come to your rescue over and over again.

well moonslayer it's fine with me if you don't like us but unless you live in a third world country you basically need us. Every country does weither you like it or not if we vanished over night who knows what would have happenend. An example of this is in WWII until we joined the allies to bring humanity and descentcy back to the world the allies where getting there asses kicked by a man known as Hitler. Another example would be if we weren't around after the war a nucleur Holocaust and all other parts of the world would have been overun to see the rule of a ruthless cold bloodied person who is known by the name of Joseph Stalin.

Jon I'm not saying it's going to happen especially from something like this. Hell it would have to at least be three times that of the great depression and last even longer then the great depression did. What I'm basically saying is some freak thing like an asteroid hitting Washington D.C or something to that effect which would unleash anarchy because there would be no leaders.

Moonslayer I agree and personally I hope me and my kids never see it happen but if the US dissapeared over night I do think it would result in mass spread anarchy, because chances are ever other Goverment around the world already capitulated so there would be no order in the world. Hence the term anarchy. Chances are though this won't happen.

Well Retributar it definately looks like you where right and it looks like your taken out a little bit of rage at the same time. Your also right fact is Iceland right about know has an income rate which is dwarfed by her expenses. Her expenses in other words are 12 times larger than her income. yes Hubert I'm sure your right it's just this time I want to have proof of weither or not I'm right, although if all the beta testers are saying it's going to be December 7th and the time for my guess to be proven as right is fastly dwindling so it doesn't look good for my prediction right now. With that being said I agree with everyone's first instinct to go with December 7th it's just I don't get why it wouldn't be advertised for that specific date, but that's exactly what happend with PDE so who knows...

Battleboy this fall is little to vague and I've heard a few rumors that have hinted to it's release in November so two weeks would put us right in the middle of November so it's a good guess based on those rumors if not my guess would be a crap shoot.
