  1. I should have taken a screenshot of the tank crew that attacked my PSW from 25m distance with their AP pistols... Routing ? Surrendering ? Hide and hope that they dont spot you ? ...fu** that, we will take that stupid PSW out and capture the crew !
  2. I had a Marder crew bail out after taking some 50.cal hits and suffering one wounded. But yeah, ther is a issue with the moral of vehicle crews i think.
  3. Some seam to think its about "at what FPS is CM playable" or about FRAPS that hits the performance hard. If they would test it im sure anyone will have this issue, system or drivers dont matter much.
  4. A even better idea gunnergoz... Running into hords of totally badass tank crew rambos that attack your Tiger tanks with their pistols is just so absurd that this should be fixed. While playing the "Closing the gap" scenario i had them attack a PSW with pistols...i mean are they Rambo or what ? I would switch my fanatic Waffen-SS troops anytime for thos crazy bunch of fanatic US tank crews...the war would be over in June 1944 for sure. I mean, give them some real weapons and they will punch through normandy straight into the Reichstag !
  5. The problem is that as they bail out there in panic and run away. But if they recover after a few minutes they will attack again...this time with mighty pistols and SMG's. To fix such strange behaviour the bailt out vehicle crews should panic and later dissapear and be counted as MIA. Vehicle crews historically dont acted as infantry after bailing out. Sure, under extrem conditions they may joint the infantry but this is as possible like a M10 crew leaving the vehicle and enter a building because they panic during a artillery strike...
  6. A lot of people dont understand that this is thread is about a 50%+ FPS drop caused by trees moving in the wind. Its not about if this game can be played with 60 or 15 FPS...its just about the problem caused by medium and stong wind if there are forests in the scenario. Such a massive FPS drop by such a small effect, even on high-end machines, has to be a coding or engine issue. If you get playable FPS with no wind and unplayable with heavy wind while viewing some trees, its clear what causes the problem.
  7. Im sure veryone get it, even if you would have a 4000$ PC. Some people maybe play with lower settings then best/best, no AA and V-Sync so they maybe not notice a such dramatic FPS drop like we do. Just posting that it runs "great" does not mean they dont have the same issue...maybe they just read "performance" in the thread title and nothing more...
  8. And why i something not possible ? While playing Real-Time MP some data has to be send each way. Now, why is it not possible to have the commands of each player (that are stored in a file with PBEM) send via TCP/IP and loaded automatic by the game, you then can watch the replay and issue new orders...send the next data and wait for the other player to send his data...replay again and... Why should it not be possible or too much work at all ?
  9. Without a autopause RT mode or true WEGO TCP/IP i dont even think about starting playing MP. At least, autopause RT is a must have, forcing a pause every 60sec. and wait for both players to be ready to go again (big red button) should not be a too big problem. I mean, we have 2011 and PBEM isent the way to play MP today...

  11. Its not only Parabellum, i would estimate that more then 50% will have this issue. Then there must be some problem with the code, no way the redrawing of the trees and leaves can cause a 50% FPS drop... Anyway, is this a official Battlefront comment ? Ok, do you have Fraps ? Can you do some screenshots please ? Did you make a test map full ov trees and looked at the FPS with no wind and then with strong wind ? Even if you get 20 FPS with strong wind, if you have 40 without it this is still a 50% FPS drop by this wind effect. Way to much if you ask me and a real issue that should get fixed.
  12. The problem with giving them a normal cover-arc is that i will not work in WEGO... And WEGO is the way to play the game !
  13. TRP's simulate artillery that was already adjusted to that area. This was a tactic often used by the germans in Normandy, having their mortars pre-adjusted to a field and as soons as the enemy was pinned down by MG fire they could fire very fast and accurate without the need of a spotting rounds or a FO because everything was prepared before the actual combat started.
  14. Anyway, Battlefront has to do something... A 50-75% FPS drop just by a wind effect is way too much !
  15. So all people here feel the FPS drop with trees+wind... I hope there will be a official respond soon, maybe they already trying to fix it ?
  16. Yes we need a Target Armor only cover arc and the bug with Infantry firing their handguns at tanks needs to be fixed. Pu i believe there i no official aswer to that at the moment.

  18. Yeah, its the same with driver... - I have a problem... - First update all drivers ! I never did this and still got most software working, that means: - Format your machine ! = Ignore - Update your drivers ! = Ignore ...at least for me.
  19. I think there are different AI-plans for the US side as well as for the german side. Thats why some may consider the mission as easy and some get there ass kicked...
  20. Turn 35-40 The "luckiest M10 ever" is finally burning... My Panther hit him again and the crew bailed out. Soon after that my Panther (i only have one in combat) got hit by ATG fire from the tree line behind the village. I thought i killed them long ago ! But no problem, the shots bounced off and the Panther got that gun with his second HE round. One of my Marders finished the Sherman at the bridge, the tank exploded. The other Sherman behind the village drove into a wood and i lost LOS to him. But suddenly another M10 showed up and hit my Panther at the tracks and immobilized him ! My Panther fired back and KO'ed him with the first shot. So i have a Panther with a damaged main gun and one who cant move...argh ! During this tank combat the 1.Zug assaulted the village while the HMG's and PSW supressed the enemy. As they reached the next hedgerow there were still some GI's ! But as they saw the angry Germanic's they decided to run away...most of them died anyway. My 2.Zug was now on the way to support the attack. After all enemy tanks in overwatch are burning wrecks that was no longer a problem. I decided to push forward with my two PSW on the right flank to mow down the routing GI's. That turned out to be a bad idea...a Sherman was in the village and soon KO'ed one PSW ! I will try to get him with a Panzerschreck team... Only 5 minutes left to capture the village !
  21. My own on-map mortars were most of the time not very accurate. But yes, the AI got some real sniper hits on my guys with their own...

  23. No... It not because of the trees (you can have the hole map full of them without lag) it only about the combination of wind+trees that gives you massiv lag ! Most likely a bug that can be fixed.
  24. Ok, now i need a break from that action... At least for me as player these last turns were better then "Band of Brothers" and "The Pacific" together. The Action and the tension was unbelievable ! Although i had different intensions for this weekend a few days ago i will end up playing this demo the hole time. Thanks to Battlefront, this game is just freakin' awesome ! Be prepared for those last turns, the outcome will be determined in the last seconds...its that close.
