  1. I guess in modern warfare this makes more noticeable difference. It surely does help to have a dedicated FO team of some sorts, dedicated observer vehicles can even help more. Not only is their call in time in general faster, their ability helps to get the spotting rounds on target quicker.
  2. Lol yeah it does seem like it could use some
  3. I have managed to record a clip of the perceived issue with the CV9035 cannon ammo. It very often seems like it keeps unloading much more rounds then necessary at targets, even after they have already perished or like in this case out of LOF. It doesn't always do this, especially if there are more targets around it switches after KO'ing the target. However, where other IFVs like the YPR-765 stop firing more rounds into enemy infantry or AFVs after they are killed/brewed up, the CV9035 usually continues to spray a full burst of rounds like it is forced to. For example, in the last few turns of this game I had a CV9035 shooting up a BMP and it fired another ~17 rounds into the BMP after it brewed up. Later a YPR-765 engaged a BMP and it fired a few rounds until it brewed up, after which it stopped firing. I've noticed it quite a couple of times, imo there is something weird going on with the CV9035 cannon, others seemed to have reported/noticed it too. But this incident really felt weird: I have a save if useful.
  4. @MOS:96B2PRead in another thread about the issue you had. I was able to post you screen going with 'Other Media' -> 'Insert image from URL'. Does that work for you?
  5. hehe, well I'm not of that side and given Aragon mentioning his wife I suspect he is neither. But I don't mind anyone having different tastes ;-). No offenses taken
  6. There was an interview out with Steve the other day. With Steam etc going on it will obviously have some influence but I'd say just a positive one in the end.
  7. Lol I'm good. Just helping myself to some friday evening beer banter.
  8. Perhaps, perhaps not. It's all in the eye of the beholder.
  9. 1.5m distance! Young boy Although I guess your older
  10. No! I demand a promised full body response without further delays! Immediately!!!
  11. I think differently When they say 'things are looking good for a release in 6 months', you seem hold that as a promise. It is not a promise. It's a roadmap with a 'guestimation'. Conceptually there might never even have been any delays in the development, there were just increments of work progressing at a invariable pace. Other work taking priority it means that development was perhaps not as fast as could be theoratically possible, but I assume nobody did ever 'delay' the development just because they felt like frustrating you / insisting that the game should be released later without a rationale. Well, to feel frustration is someone does to himself. I can't feel frustrated for you, nor can you for me (luckily :)). Games can't feel frustrated, or infer frustrations upon someone else. So you choose, perhaps subconsciously, to be frustrated.
  12. To be precise you choose to be frustrated because you expected and assumed this module would have been out for years. While it was announced officially somewhere last year iirc? Of course already long time ago, probably after release of CMRT, there had been 'bones' that a module was on the roadmap for CMRT. And it has been worked on for a long time, and yes priorities change and the work on the RT module didn't get the highest prio. So of course we all get that it is a bummer that this module hasn't been out sooner. But I haven't read much promises. BFC always says it will be ready when it is ready, which is the most important promise imo. Just accept that they don't and will probable never (again) do promises regarding when exactly something will release, if it isn't finished yet. Perhaps for military contracts they do, but that's probably how those contracts work. You don't have any contract for the release of this module by any date. It is much more relaxing to just accept how the world works, instead of trying to change or fight (and or get worked up) about the fact that this module hasn't been released yet.
  13. At least as a player you could (and probably should) order troops who are low on ammo away from the front especially if you expect the enemy to push their position. So, "they don't" but you can make m
  14. One very important thing is also that tactical considerations of taking out a single Tiger Tank, which is already facing you on the battlefield, versus taking out a single Pz II facing you, is not comparable to a consideration whether your legionnaires should go and attack a phalanx legion or a slinger legion. The latter in modern would be more of an operational/strategic consideration. If you would have the choice to attack the frontline on a place where there are no enemy heavy tanks, versus a place where there are enemy heavy tanks, one should always attack the place without heavy tanks if breakthrough is the objective. Now if you want to destroy the enemy armor then obviously you should attack where they are, or one might want to attack heavy enemy forces just to keep m occupied so they can't reinforce another place on the front. Etc. But in general I think the concept of 'attack the enemy where he is weakest, with your strongest force' is still true then and now.
  15. And, finally for now. Some more movies I recorded with Nvidia of the same mission. SPOILERS: War is hell: And CV9035 BEAST: PS Although usually the CV9035 spends about 40 rounds taking out a single BMP-2 (and continues to put in 17+ rounds after it's target is on fire, or continues to pepper infantry with KETF after they've been observed dying), in this clip it somehow takes out 2 T-72s and only expands minimal ammo (hitting it in side and lower hull, stopping after penetrations have achieved desired effect).
  16. And now that I'm busy: SPOILERS! The first minute for Dutch campaign mission four :
  17. Dutch campaign, second mission. Also found recorded in Nvidia Shock Force video captures.
  18. A movie I had taken from the CMSF2 remastered Dutch forces campaign. First mission, assault on the fortress:
  19. Seems so, don't know why perhaps because I've registered here back in the stone age. Otherwise it's easy to use some image hosting website.
  20. Yeah in general platoon HQs wouldn't be my goto for calling in the fire support. But it is indeed a bug and has been reported. Obviously There is a good documentary about it, also read the book Zero Days. While I'm no security officer, security is always on my mind. I know that anyone skilled enough can hide stuff in whatever file, so including a '.bts'. Not sure how he/she would go about actually executing it, but it may very well be possible to offload such a task to the privileges required for starting CM anyway. Long story short, didn't trust it so didn't download it.
  21. Although I didn't download your save (given your username and that it's your first post ), I can confirm what you say. It's just infantry platoon HQs who have the problem so it seems, their rifle squads can call in fire. Also other teams can call in.
  22. Did a quick check, no issues with calling in artillery whatsoever in the first mission of the Highland campaign.
