  7. The format is binary mdr (few 100k size). Yes it can be changed if we decipher this format. br. Dr.Jones
  8. Hi, just created the brz file editor, i'm just a little dissapointed in SF structure of data, no support for modding, or at least support for adding new stuff (as seen in this instance), all you can do is replace wav files, skins or replacing the old units/vehicles. Havent seen the balistics or penetration definition files, what a shame. In TOW you can do pretty much anything, add new units, etc. br. Dr.Jones
  9. Probably no go for the laptop i'm affraid. br. Dr.Jones
  10. Hi, with TOW you could do that, but with TOW having no real MP, this was not an practical approach. br. Dr.Jones

  12. Hi, some update on Tow Mod installer, had some time after vacation, and have done the version 0.1 with filesid.ini regenerations with deployment and the removal of entries and moded files. Now im focusing on the local\en entries in regards of encyclopedia data. br. Dr.Jones
  13. What do you want to edit? br. Dr.Jones
  14. Hi, Just have made a core design of the app.. The principle will be the same as JSGME, but with some automatic eval of files. I'm going to automaticaly concat the filesid.ini, eEncyclopaediaCont.xml, and Local\en files, you will have to just put diff version of the file. Lets say that you want to add a new unit into the filesid.ini, you would just create filesid.ini with the new units, this goes also for the other files. For other versions of TOW, could someone who has Russian version send me the Data\Local files, those would ofcourse be different from en dir, or any other language version, thanks. This app will have to wait before my vacation, which is due this weekend,to be completed. br. Dr.Jones
  15. Becuse I'm currently developing similar application exslusive for TOW, which will include automatic id generation and regeneration in filesid. If you will add a mod, it will add filesid entries at the bottom and so on, if you remove mod, it will automaticaly regenerate all filesid. br. Dr.Jones
  16. How, are filesid entries handled? br. Dr.Jones
  17. Kilo, just put name in and type of 2d format with proper extension. Supported extension/formats. .dds .tga .png .jpg .ppm .pfm .dib .hdr .imf extension is not yet supported. br. Dr.Jones
  18. Hi, found one http://www.theatreofwar.de/ br. Dr.Jones
  19. SlapHappy, the speed rate of infantry could be set in walk, run, crouch, etc. animations, try looking in there. br. Dr.Jones
  20. Hi there, probably none, the protection was based on SFS archives, I guess. The TOW multiplayer uses client/server archihecture (I hope), so who host the game that one is the server and all collisons, calculations, etc are performed on the server side, clients are only processing the visuals. So if someone host the game with modified version, then the server will use calculations from that version of the game and all action will be done on that version (on the server), but if someone mods mission to include also some additonal vehicles or other stuff and the other clients don't have these resources, then the clients will probably crash. br. 21. Hi, on my rig IMF viewer works fine, just don't forget to copy the other dll's into MissionEditor, especialy the SFSExtractor_nat.dll. So if the old version is working thats fine, because they are indentical version, just this public version is protected. br. Dr.Jones
