  1. You will not have to. br. Dr.Jones [ June 11, 2008, 12:21 PM: Message edited by: Dr.Jones ]
  2. Not in TOW for now. But it would be possible, even with this tool you can modify msh file as you like, by first converting (saving in text msh trought MshConverter) to text version of msh file, then TOW can load those ascii/text versions as replacement of same msh file in 3dobj directory, then just modify hooks, vertices, etc. Ofcourse it would be easier to just automaticaly convert 3ds file to msh (i will work on that, but it will take time). br. 3. Lele, you misunderstood me, i was telling that i havent tested the program under windows Vista. Your problem could be related with language/regional local settings. br. Dr.Jones
  4. Yes, we could do that now. br. Dr.Jones
  5. Hi, I have just uploaded the mshconverter (MshConverter091.zip) to the www.cmmods.com site. This tool can convert tows MSH binary format and HIM format to OBJ or 3ds graphics format. Also with this program you can convert binary MSH to text based MSH file. Loading and converting from 3ds to MSH file is not done yet, it will take a while. Converter can also save hook information , collision objects and LODs of the msh files. When loading .him file make sure that all msh files are included in the same directory, which are needed for selected him file. br. Dr.Jones
  6. IMF defenitely not, you need to convert it to some standard format. Download the prog here : http://www.allaircraftarcade.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=63105#63105 br. Dr.Jones
  7. Hi, probably because map images are not tga's they have just an tga extension name. 1C names images with extension tga following formats DDS,TGA and IMF format. br. Dr.Jones
  8. There are some difference between IL2 and TOW meshes, IL2 has shadow faces which TOW doesn't have and TOW has tangent space information which IL2 doesnt have. But for now I don't see any problem importing new props and even tanks. Problem is nature of the export, because in msh files there are collision object which are needed for the game engine, so when exporting some mesh to msh file, you would need to insert into it the collision parts - msh file can have multi collision 3d parts seperated by a name(these are only vertices, faces and neigbour information). Gnasher don't forget fatduck also he has been instrumental in moving forward the msh exporter. br. Dr.Jones
  9. Hi, just updating you on the progress of the importing new msh files into the game engine, it' a big breaktrough, now we need just to wait to get a max plugin. See the following post: http://www.allaircraftarcade.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5150&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15 br. Dr.Jones
  10. It's not just me, thanks should go to IL2 community, there are some serious guy's about this, specialy to fatduck. br. Dr.Jones
  11. Gnasher, with the current knowledge atleast we can convert msh file to other 3d formats, wich is quite a step (max plugin for importing msh into Max not into TOW, someone is already doing this plugin). Exporting to msh from Max,this it's a another story. We need to decipher so called second section, if we do that than there is possibility. br. Dr.Jones
  12. Hi, just want to notify you all, that progress has been made in exporting data from msh files, thanks to guy called "fatduck", he jump started the search for the msh specification. The current status is that we can export base 3d geometry from msh file. thats all for now. br. Dr.Jones
  13. Yes, you need it. Download it from www.cmmods.com. br. Dr.Jones
  14. Where did you put the sfsextractor to? br. Dr.Jones

  16. Hi, the file could be IMF format, open with notepad and if the first word is IMF then this is the format. Open with IMF viewer then and save as dds or tga. br. Dr.Jones

  22. Hi, extractor loads from patch1.sfs, but not from patch2.sfs,etc, its hard coded. I will change this to dynamic way to load sfs files. I will upload the fixed version to www.cmmods.com. br. Dr.Jones
  23. I will upload the new version of the IMFViewer on the www.cmmods.com. br. Dr.Jones
  24. You will need to download also the filelist.txt file from www.cmmods.com. br. Dr.Jones
  25. Hi, the extractor by itself doesnt know which files are in sfs files. This is done by customized Filelist.txt file which is downloaded seperately from www.cmmods.com. This is old version, someone should update it to the last patch . br. Dr.Jones
