  1. Excellent, the maus has very different gun 128 mm KwK44 L/55, which is quite a big gun, its going to be almost impossible to get the original sounds, so the imitation sound would be neccessary. Also the ini files can be premade before the 3d model, so if you have the will to make them, it would be very helpfull. But with your experience try to concentrate on the sounds. thx. br. Dr.Jones

Hi, I decided to eat my own medicine so i'm going to try to convert the 3ds model in this case Maus panzer to TOW with the MshConverter i have been doing (also that i can really debug this thing). As i see the IL2 community doing a lot of the planes from scratch, so i thought that for TOW we should have the same. So i taken the InvisibaleO model of Maus and make it TOW friendly . I have converted to any type of 3d format possible and made it triangle friendly and with lower poly. My plan is to replace the tracks with lowpoly objects, also the model is untextured so those are missing. So if there are any voluntiers to help me finish this conversion I will be a happy man. If you know some capable texture artist or you are one, i would really appriciate the help you can give. Also if somebody can dig up dirt on the techical data or info on TOW ini files (those who have more experience than me, like Gnasher, Oudy,etc) on the maus and post it here would be very helpfull, i don't have much free time to move this forward, so this will take some time to finish.   5. Knokke, try first to display other plane which is already in the game to be displayed in the ecyclopedia, then try to display the typhoon. br. Dr.Jones
  6. No, if it's the folder only then the file doesn't exists in the SFS. Knokke, when converting to the DDS i think they must be DTX5 version, other wise the textures don't get loaded in TOW. I have managed to put a one plane from TOW into encyclopedia, but not typhoon for now, to put the plane into lets say cars encyclopedia you need to change some other files aswell, also in unit.ini I think, you need to replace the "plane" type to "car" or other types where you want to display the plane. Also you need GUI material and TGA, usualy these are in other tanks, cars, etc, you just copy from 3dobj folder and put in your own. Also TOW doen't load the msh file if it does not have SpaceFrame info. br. Dr.Jones
  7. Knokke, open the 3ds file when converting to him file and check the option menu in MshConverter "Output/Filter Export/Generate Space Frames" this needs to be checked when converting to TOW but not for IL2. br. Dr.Jones

  9. Try demo first, i have bought it and has a lot of bugs which disables you from finishing the campaign. Its good concept but too many technical flaws. br. Dr.Jones

Hi Matt, maybe my words were a bit strong , hehe i meant that when i went from my old graphics card ATI 1600pro to 8800GT i havent had any noticable increase of speed in graphics that is what i wanted to say, being the big diffence in power of GPU between those two cards, and i went trough the troubleshooting guide, disabling the dual monitor support, disabling the multithreaded feature. br.   17. I will buy it but first will download the demo just in case, i know there will be fixes in the new game, but also new bugs also. Graphics look very good on the movie, i'm just wondering if they fixed the 8800GT/etc.. problems of the slow frame rate, because that kind of graphics (bumps all around) need that kind of power, i will see if the demo can handle that kind of graphics card, and it should because every one can now own that graphics card (Its cheap ). br. SlapHappy you can seperate the collision from the 3d view, just go to tree view in the left side of the application, expand the first node traverse nodes and look for Collisions node, click on and off to see or not to see the object, if you want to see just collisions disable/click on the toolbar (Meshes,Lods,Shadows,etc) and those object will be seen or hidden (all of the same type). Then go to tree and disable/enable seperate collision objects. Also this enabling and disabling in the tree view is used also to tell exporter which objects to export. br. Dr.Jones

Hi, I have just uploaded totaly new version of the MshConverter - Viewer on www.cmmods.com, in this version you can fully convert msh and him files to OBJ,3ds or md5mesh files and also see the 3d view of the meshes . Also you can convert OBJ/3ds to msh or him file. In menu you also have file association command, when you click that command all files with extension .msh and .him files will be automaticaly redirected to MshConverter location, in short you can then just double click on the files. br.   21. Because this is not TGA but IMF format, just named to tga by 1C team. Use IMFViewer to view and convert to other format. br. Dr.Jones

  23. Hi, just uploaded the update version 0.9.2 to www.cmmmods.com. Updated: - export of him file into hierarchihal structure of 3ds format identical to him structure. - loading of text msh file format. - global filter (main mesh, collision,hooks,lods). - loading of 3ds (beta stage, not all models get loaded, todo!) and converting to msh file. br.
