Gamespots crappy 4.5 review..
Roter Stern replied to Dredloc's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
OMG! This thread has been off the top of the forum for almost 30min now! Ohh and GameSpot is only read by xBox-playing 15 yearolds anyways, so no big loss there -
Possible Marine Scenerios/Add On
Roter Stern replied to Ryanwtod's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
I think it would also be good if they did a British add-on.. all they would have to do is change M1s into Challengers and rip some British voice-overs from CMAK! isn't that a great idea? -

Not bugs, but none-the-less funny Syrians test out a new man-seeking missile Syrian Special Forces teamed up with id Software to equip a their units with weapons from the award winning series Quake Pictured – the Mk-III Railgun-Rocketlauncher-Chaingun [ August 11, 2007, 04:53 PM: Message edited by: The Louch ] -
files-upload.com sucks

http://www.mediafire.com/ works pretty good too - allows you to create your own shared folders -
Infantry refusing to follow any order (bug)
Roter Stern replied to KNac's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
I've had that happen a few times... however most of the time I was able to eventually give them an order to move on. -

Support Panel Question
Roter Stern replied to Truppenfuhrung's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Green and red dots represent the status of the gun battery... i.e. their ability to respond to new fire missions. But the "comms status" icon does sound a little messed up, if ToadMan is correct. As for “BFC not knowing” – it was Steve who didn’t remember, which I can’t blame him for, especially since he’s not the programmer on the team. To be honest I don’t know how a small team can pull off a project like this on the first place, kudos. -
Yeah, you should’ve received at least half of the points for destroying the HQ … although it’s pretty clear that a third of the buildings are still standing. Personally I didn’t even get that far

I've been playing TCP/IP since release - both Hosting and Joining - and have not experienced and abnormalities. Except for once when the Client’s reinforcement Strykers in "Something-something Ambush" scenario showed up invisible. But that sounds more like a graphics bug on his end.

Issues not fixed by 1.02 Patch
Roter Stern replied to M1A1TC's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
MGs with tripods should deploy on roofs without a parapet, so if they can't that is in fact a bug. They can not however, deploy inside or on roofs that do have a parapet. That would require hours of deliberate position preparation of knocking out knee-high firing ports in walls. [ August 11, 2007, 08:00 AM: Message edited by: The Louch ] -

Meeting Engagement QB Crashes to Menu
Roter Stern replied to ribster's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Regardless of whether or not this is elegant, it’s a well documented “feature” – page 30 in the manual. -
So, Battlefront, when is it going to be working?
Roter Stern replied to a topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Infantry and pathfinding work perfectly fine in my game, perhaps instead of blaming BFC you should learn how to use them properly? -

Coming soon to a mountain region near you... …the War continues -
I only had to delete the actual key association - i did not have to delete the "relative section". As long as there are no letters after "< E >" you should'nt have a problem Works like a charm ... Thanks BFC!

Great idea! Especially seeing how I've missed two of them to forum flooding. +1 for sticky A good addition would be to divide the scenarios listed into BvsR, BvsB, and RvsR

New Scenario: "Battle over Assad Airport" -Updated
Roter Stern replied to Kieme(ITA)'s topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Very interesting map with very nice unqiue detail, well done. I'd love to comment on how the battle went, however in the 30min alloted I only got as far as the first few guard towers... perhaps for a map of this size 60 or even 90min time limit is in order? -

Red vs Red Scenario and The Chechen War Theatre
Roter Stern replied to Roter Stern's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
isnt there a French "Scenarios" folder? i.e. \CMSF\GameFiles\Scénario\ or something? I'm guessing whichever language you have the game set to will determine with folders are used. -

Make sure you’re giving the AI a very precise setup zone. For example, look at the way I have the Blue troops deploy in my scenario – instead of painting the entire village as one big setup zone, I painted a single tile in each building – this prevents the AI from placing troops out in the street. Another thing you can try is giving two orders for the AI … have them Hide on Setup, set Exit After to say 5min, and issue a 2nd order to Ambush (no need to repaint an order area). That way the troops will hide for the first 5min and then attempt to ambush.
