  1. It would be nice to have a "linear target" with the air strike. It could be use to demand a precise fly path to strafe a given target. [ October 09, 2007, 12:01 PM: Message edited by: Truppenfuhrung ]
  2. I never pay attention to that kind of issue so they never bother me. Generally speaking, those kind of problems never ruin my strategy.
  3. From a doctrinal point of view... Given the fact that the US will rarely encounter enemies with IR imaging... Maybe using standard smoke would be better. I mean, when you spot those nasty ATGM, pop smoke and from the smoke cover, you can kill the ATGM.
  4. Did syrian ATGM have some kind of thermal imaging ?
  5. I will try to test that. I'm no military specialist but could it be better for the US Army to use regular smoke ? Sure the Syrian could have IR imaging but I think that the use of regular smoke would have more advantage than inconvenient for the US force. Anyway, here's a cut and paste from the manual: "Smoke grenade launchers attached to the RWS can be fired to interfere with various enemy threats. The thermal imager allows the Stryker crew to see through the smoke it generates."
  6. The instruction manual say that Stryker could fire trough smoke.
  7. Being able to fire trough smoke could make a huge difference. I thinking about the "ATGM Ambush" or "Abu Susha" scenarios. Being able to create to create a smoke screen and take out the Syrian ATGM would be nice !
  8. In the CMSF "Field Manual" they say that the Strykers are equip with thermal imaging, therefore they can fire trough smoke screen. Well, personally I never saw that. It's a bug or I'm missing something?
  9. This thing is very frustrating when you enter a house full of Syrians. They walk in the house, they pass right trough the Syrians an when the order is complete, the surviving one don't return fire. I have to order them to face the Syrian at the other side of the house before they finally open fire.
  10. You have to acquire the javelin during the setup phase. When you spot the ATGM, your Bradleys should take evasive actions: smoke + move fast behind the hill. Meanwhile, you pray and hope that your infantries spot and kill the ATGM with the javelins. I was able to finish with 2 Bradleys intact. During the last Lebanon war, the hezbollah's ATGM were very effective against Tsahal's armors.
  11. When soldiers are caught in the open, they should either hit the ground or start running in a routed state. One way or and other, their dead.
  12. I did not have any problem with the blast option. It work fine to go trough a wall or to blow away the wall of a house (and exit the house).
