Core 2 6400 Radeon x1950pro with updated drivers 2 gb RAM Windows vista. Battlefront download ,01 version Launches well, always crashes when selecting units. Framerate is good until crashes to desktop. Only message is vista message stating the program stopped responding. Edit I just found out that in maximum settings i have excellent performance and no crashes for a full round but... it always crashes to desktop as soon has i left click a unit. Tryed to swap the USB mouse with a ps2 mouse, no change.

Thanks Steve, but i already checked that, the fix is for XP only, not Vista.

My mouth is watering. I am reduced to spectator batles, game runs smothly even with maximum settings, but crashes to desktop as soon has i left click a unit. Some guys at the suport forum report the same problem. Has soon has it is solved i am launched. THe game looks great !

Running game as administrator of course, always crash while selecting units.

Tryed that tip to disable one core in task manager afinity. No changes.

Any sugestions for a sistem with Vista and core 2 cpu ? Launches the game fine but crashes a lot.

Drivers are updated. I would try the fix from microsoft to dual cores but the links around here are for XP fixes not Vista 32 bits. Game launches fine but crashes when selecting units. That is fine and all ! But the important question is... Will my cleric be able to cast RESURRECT spels on KIA, and RAISE DEAD spells on enemy KIA so they rise has skelleton warriors and join our side ?

To hell with counter stike. My humvees will make road kills like in Battlefield 2142, every 5 infantry squished in a round we get a power up to our humvee, a laser gatling would be fine .

This is what gets me worried. As for the reviews, out of the 3 Ive seen, 1 has said it was excellent, and that was from a person that was involved in the Beta. Not exactly reassuring. As a customer, I do not care how many people that are working on a game that I buy, compared to a big budget game. Are you saying that I will have to excpect that games from small companies, like BTS, will be worse than the ones from EA etc? Well then, why even bother buying anything from you? I just dont get why you harp about how little resources you have. It does not matter to the end customer. Also, I dont think the beta testers do anyone any favours by pissing on the reviewers that does not think this game is as great as they think. If anything, its a mistake. It just makes the impression that we cant really trust what they say about the game, because they are zelouts and nothing is wrong in their eyes. Now, I will prob download this game the moment its for sale, because of the excellent CM series. But I dont really think all the reponses made here by BTS and their testers reflect on them in a positive manner. </font>

I only require one thing for considering ToW a classic among wargames. A Custom Battle Generator. Were you can: -Chose a map from a existing list. -Chose the units to form the oposing sides. -Chose an objective that trigers the victory. Player imagination will do the rest. I could imagine what if battles with the nations and units present in the game to last a lifetime. People who played CM series know what i am talking about.

I think Steve just wasted is time and energy answering a guy that loves a game like Command and Conquer 3. This people dont care about damage models, balistic models, and this kind of boring stuff. They just like their allien army smashes the enemy good with their laser gatlings full of FX. When he said it missed the helos, he was refering to the lack of Uber Hover Gunships with plasma guns. This guy just get depressed after thinking "Wath my pixeltrupens get out of ammo, that never Hapened in company of Heroes !" I don´t think a wargamer cares about this kind of reviewers opinion. Well at least i don´t, for the others there is C&C Tyberian Wars, just go away and dont bother.

I played CM:BB and CM:AK a few years back after stumble upon CM:BB CDV version in a store. I played this games for years and still play, my hours playing CM are mostly in the custom battle generator, playing what if engagements. Has i didn´t had net at the time i never found battlefront.com, until recently after getting broadband and doing search for a promising wwII game that keep changing name after i saw a preview in a magazine a couple of years ago. The game hapened to be Theatre of War,so i found this litle heaven of wargaming that is battlefront. My first surprise was, CM developers, the second was,a new CM game. So i look forward to CM:SF and specialy its battle generator and all the possibilitys it brings. When i played first CM i had a really weak computer, and waiting minutes for turns was bad. After having a new computer i enjoyed the game but the grafics were really outdated. Now i am ready, bring it on, i can see massed humvee charges on fortified positions coming this way.
