  1. If I remember correctly, you can use the facing command. Place the bunker where you want it to be, then choose facing (I think shortcut G) and click where you want it to have its 12 o'clock.
  2. These are the instructions, which can be found in the manual (p.9): 1- install the base game, Combat Mission: Battle for Normandy. This will typically be v1.00 or v1.01. 2- (if available) install the Commonwealth Module. This will update your game to v1.10. 3- install the CMBN v1.11 patch. You can find it at www.battlefront.com/patches. 4- install the CMBN 2.0 Upgrade, or the 2.0 Market Garden Bundle. 5- use your 2.0 Upgrade license key, or the 2.0 & Market Garden Bundle license key to activate. This will activate the base game and Commonwealth (if available), and Market Garden (if you installed the bundle). 5b- install the Market Garden module, unless you have installed the bundle already in step 3. 5c- use the Market Garden license key to activate the Market Garden module, unless you have activated it already in step 5. 6- if available, install the next Module. 6b- use your next module license key to activate. 7- Repeat 6 and 6b for all available modules. 8- if available, install the latest patch for CMBN. Usually, only one patch is required to update all game components, including the base game and modules. ---- I did as described and everything is working fine.
  3. Just ignore this thread. I reloaded the scenario 3 times and it worked each time correctly. When I first played it, I definelty used target light and it happened all the time. Strange ... Thanks for the explanation weapon2010.
  4. I don't know if this behaviour is intended. A scenario uses a StuH42 late. When I give a "target light"-order, it uses its main gun. Isn't it supposed to use its mg?
  5. Hello zinzin, I asked exactly the same in june. http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=110543 There was no answer. Maybe you are more lucky.
  6. This screenshot isn't a beauty. It's more about the content. This ranger team performed really well against an attack of German Luftwaffe infantry. I've ordered them to hold back fire until the enemy was pretty close. Sometimes quality beats quantity. Too bad they ran out of ammunition.
  7. Can you add this info maybe to the announcement? It would have saved me two postings in this thread.
  8. Maybe you should take a look at this thread: http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=110504 to get an idea what could be added besides scenarios, campaigns, maps and terrain. There are lots of amazing ideas, which would make the game more fun to play. Seriously: work on your reading skills! All I ever said is that I would like a more balanced mix of everything! I don't care if there are 3 or 10 new tanks. Please read what I write, before you refer to it. Learn to accept different opinions, as I accept yours.
  9. This sounds reasonable and maybe it's even the best response in this whole discussion.
  10. It is worth money. But a good game is more than scenarios, campaigns, maps and terrain. And as I stated before this is my opinion. If you think the offered content is worth 35$ go for it. Pay 60$ if it means so much fun to you. Allow me to quote myself here: offer a balanced mix I don't know why you assume, that I only care about units. I never wrote something like this. So basically your whole answer makes no sense. I can't read any of this in the official press release "Announcing Combat Mission Battle for Normandy: "Market Garden" " from august the 16th. Here we go again with the "he only wants new units" I won't comment on that again. Yeah, market shares clearly show how unsuccessful real time games are. Thanks! I will enjoy it for sure. Now I will tell you a secret: There are other games than we-go historical realism simulation style games. You always get what you pay for. And now enjoy this beautiful sunday and stop crying. I'm sorry if you didn't get the intention of my question for a more balanced addon strategy. And you should seriously work on your aggressive style of writing. It reads really impolite. Everybody himself can decide if a product is worth the money, it is offered for. And it must be allowed to state ones opinion on a public board. And it's not on you to judge it. You are fine with the module? I can live with that. Buy it and have a great time with it.
  11. I really appreciated Battlefronts decision to offer a realtime game mode with Shock Force. To support their effort, I even bought the whole we-go combat mission games, although I don't like we-go game mode and I've never touched the games. From there on I bought every base game and module. Some I liked more, some less. But each releases showed some progress. This is the first time I'm not excited about a release of the combat mission games and it's the first time I won't buy it. In my opinion a balanced mix of gameplay features / scenarios / units makes a good game or addon. On these forums are threads with some amazing ideas and all we get this time are: - some units which already exist partially in other modules and the new ones don't offer much gameplay wise - some maps, which basically could be done by everone who already owns the game (except some special objects like the bridges and new buildings) - some scenarios For me (I understand that there are other opioions, but this is mine) this isn't worth 35$. I wouldn't pay more than 10-15$ for this content. I really want to support you, but this time I can't. Sorry. I hope future releases do better. My saved next-combat-mission-title-money goes straight into Creative Assemblys Rome 2. Please consider the community suggested features for future titles and I'll be happy to support you. As I stated before: offer a balanced mix and not only eye candy, then I'll happily spend my money. Each release should make the game more fun to play and offer more possibilities. Added: What I would have expected for 35$ example is: - announced stuff + aa guns work against planes + improved urban combat
  12. I found an interesting article about panther turrets. You can find it here: http://www.ospreypublishing.com/articles/world_war_2/German_use_of_tank_turrents/
  13. Is it correct, that Gustav Line added only 4 new quick battle maps? Or is something wrong with my installation? When I browse through the map selection (according to the battle type), following maps are marked as GL module maps: Meeting Engagement: 413, 421 Probe: 347, 382 Attack: 348, 383 Assault: 349, 384 (347 = 348 = 349 / 382 = 383 = 384)
  14. I gave up on this one, too. After 3 different unsuccessful approaches my maximum frustration level was reached.
  15. I'm pretty sure before Gustav Line the interface showed if you have AT or AP mines selected. Normandy, quick battle: 1. I select 5 AT and 5 AP mine fields. 2. durin the setup all mine fields have the same icon. when I select a mine field the user interface shows a description in the top left corner [i.e.Mines (AT)] Gusta Line, quick battle: 1. I select 5 AT and 5 AP mine fields. 2. durin the setup all mine fields have the same icon. when I select a mine field the user interface shows NO description in the top left corner!!! Now I have 10 mine field icons, which look all the same. This makes them useless as I don't know, if I'm placing AT or AP mines. In my example: QB, 1944 may, player british army, airborne infantry, veteran (I think) Can somebody confirm this? Is this a bug, which was implemented with the new "fog of war" system?
  16. When I toggle this movie mode on, my screen turns black. The interface is still visible, but the rest is just black. I guess it's some MAC/bootcamp/XP/graphic card driver problem.
  17. Users with this kind of problem, could try to access the site via a proxy server. I.e. http://www.hidemyass.com/proxy/ (open this link and type www.battlefront.com into the form and click the button "hide my ass") This should work. Edit: Turn SSL on, if you enter any payment details.
  18. Maybe it's a stupid question, but is snow / cold temperatures somehow effecting the performance of units? Do pixel-soldiers freeze?
  19. Hi, is anyone interested in a multiplayer realtime game? I never played against a human so far, but I'd like to give it a try. Is maybe another beginner looking for an online opponent, too? I'm not a big fan of huge battles, despite that I don't mind to accept any rules/agreements. I don't care which side to play. I consider myself a weak / average player. My timezone is gmt+1. I'm mostly available on weekends. I own Combat Mission Battle for Normandy and CW Forces, as well as Fortress Italy. I had no luck finding an opponent in the steam groups so far. Maybe someone here is interested? Markus

  21. As far as I know the alpha version features only tank riding anti-tank dogs so far.
