UKR General Staff cautiosly began to issue information about UKR successes on Izium direction. Officially claimed libaration of Dmytrivka and Mazainvka. In twitter write Dmytrivka really was liberated about week ago, Mazanivka - about two days ago. Liberated area marked by blue on the map below. Also General Staff directly didn't say this, but according to theur report about clashes and probes in area of Brazhivka - Sulyhivka - Dovhen'ke - Pasika, theese villages are now contested area, so Bohorodychne akready under UKR control - awaiting official confiormation.
More recently, about two weeks ago, General Staff claimed Dibrivne was liberated, here the video from 93rd mech.brigade from there. In short, soldier says there was about two reinforced companies of enemy there. UKR troops just choked their supply routes and they were forced to withdraw. He says Russian remained huige number of anti-personnel mines and often lay its around their abandoned vehicles. He also shows two Russian BMP-3, destroyed as far as in times of Russian was capturing Dibrivne.
Also by RUMINT UKR arty pushed off Russians from Sviatohirsk, so UKR troopers raised the flag over giaint Artem monument on UKR-controlled bank of Siverskyi Donets near Tetianivka oppese to Sviatohirsk.
Russians, though activated near Balakliya and tried to advance on Husarivka, but were repelled. Husarivka was liberated 27-29th of March, Russian BTG was defeated there.

This looks like a “bounding” smart mine, probably Russian PTKM-1R:

But best part is the white jeep rolling at high speed without even being hit. 🤣  You can rest assured no one was wearing a seat belt.

UKR ambush on two jeeps with allegedly enemy command staff, which drove from HQ.
It's claimed enemy losses are 6 of command staff and 5 soldiers
Small probability, but maybe we can see here a moment of elimitation of DPR "colonel" Olha Kachura (callsign Korsa), deputy of Grad MLRS battalion commander of 3rd MRB of DPR. DPR sources claimed her "Niva" jeep was hit with ATGM or blew up on the mine near Novobakhmutivka (10 km NE from Avdiivka).

Their operational art does seem to have regressed to that of 1915/16 and with rates of advance that make Haig look like Guderian.

Almost impossible, 24 hour rolling media coverage of a retreat like that would be un-survivable for a Western government, doubly so given the far lower degree of trust in politicians amongst the general polity today.  That said we shouldn't lose sight of how close the UK came to throwing in the towel on May 1940, it would only have needed Halifax to become PM rather than Churchill I suspect.

In Ukraine sometime happened this incidents. Sometimes pro-Russian (or just cheapskate) drivers of private buses rejected to to bring onboard servicemen or veterans for free despite they have legal benefits. "Let the state pays me for you!", or "I didn't send you there!" or "You was killing children and olds on Donbas!" (yeah, even this sometime can hear even in western Ukraine!). Usually solution of such incidents very fast - video or photo in social network, friends of soldier and civil activists came to driver and force him to apologize. Sometime with "fist profilactic". After this public resonance the owner in 99,9% fires such driver.

"Colonel" Olha Kachura (callsign Korsa), commander of reactive artillery battalion of 3rd MRB "Berkut" of DPR (deploys in Horlivka). Got lost Aug 3. Because of 3rd MRB fights on Bakmut direction, likely this happened there.
Kachura served in UKR police in Donetsk, in the rank of police lt.colonel was fired in 2011. Collegues described she was  "rare f....g beast", brutal drunkard, boasted ties with higher officials. Since 2014 she was actively participated in pro-russian uprising. Later studied in St.Peterburg on artilelry officer, was Grad battery commander, then deputy commander-chief of the staff of Grad battalion and at last battalion commander. Cynically told, how her Grads shelled on civilians like "Ukranians", also she told she "feels a delight, when kills Ukrainians". UKR court sentenced her in absentia to 12 years of prison. Well, at last this drunken b...ch departed to hell...

    "DONBASIZATION" of battle for Donbas
(based mostly on selections from Konstantin Mashovets review and slightly on my vision)
Now we are entering in new phase of war. Russian offensive on Donbas with goals of capturing Sloviansk and Kramatorsk almost failed. This happened because of strong resistance of UKR troops on Izium axis and on Siversk direction, which foiled Russian plans to conduct combimed strike by Izium and Lyman groups (latter should cross the Siverskyi Donets after seizing of Siversk and Raihorodok).
They, of course will continiue this operation but even they will achieve some goals and push off UKR troops from Donbas, this will not lead to that political outcome, which expect in Kremlin. By analogy with "vietnamization" of war in 70th in Vietnam, now we can see "donbasiztion" of battle for Donbas. Russia is shifting own military goals and now moving own troops on other direction, leaving LDPR froces now as main component of Donbas offensive. Of course, Russian troops will be also present, but their support now mostly will be in artillery, aviation and air defense. Their regular ground troops now will play more role of assistants, than leading force.
Russian offensive, main efforts of which directed on Avdiivka and Bakhmut, shows, that mainly the enemy now use LDPR troops and PMCs.
Enemy continue attacks on next directions:
Maryinka - recently assaults didn't bring the enemy nothing except heavy losses. Maryinka is ruined, but stands. And in last weeks UKR troops even pushed off DPR forces almost to limts of Olexandrivka village. For three days of intensive airdtrikes, artillery shellings and assaults DPR/Russian troops could retake about 400 m  of land (there was a video from their side). Also enemy activated own shellings and attack norther from Maryinka operating from Staromykhaylivka to UKR controlled Krasnohorivka town.
Avdiivka - unlike in previous times, when the enemy initially assaulted the town directly through industrial zone (so called "promka") from Yasynuvata direction and in second time tried to break through northern from the town, in that time they are trying to outflank Avdiivka from the north, attacking from Novoselivka Druha area through N-20 road to Krasnohorivka village (not to be confused with Krasnohorivka town from above), and from the south, attacking from Spartak-Vesele line on Opytne, Vodiane and Pisky - since Donetsk airport battle in 2014-2015 UKR positions didn't move a meter back there. Despite of heavy bombardments and artillery devastation, for three days DPRs have too minor sucess, causing lamentationds of Khodakovskiy, which were posted by Grigb. Some our sources wrote, UKR forces in first day have limited number of artillery and ammunition to it, so Russian/DPR advantage was total (they even claimed they destroyed almost all UKR arty and ammo dumps). But from next day situation became better, UKR arty has struck several targets in Donetsk and prevented DPR troops from further advance.
On this two directions involved next forces:
DPR: 1st "Slavianskaya" MRB, 100th Republican Guard brigade (mix of VDV anf National Guard), 9th naval infantry MRR, 11th MRR "Vostok", 15th international brigade "Pyatnashka" (indeed about reinforced battalion strength, formed mostly from Russian/CIS volunteers, many from occupied Abkhazia), artillery brigade "Kolchuga" (former "Kalmius"), 1st separate tank battalion "Somali" (before 2022 it was motor-rifle assault battalion), 4th separate tank battlion "Avgust" (this one from LPR forces), 1919th special forces battalion "named after of Alexandr Nevskiy", 1539th battalion "Arkhangel Mikhail" (latter two are not conscripts, but reservists and volunteers) and other units, including conscripts and some special police and MGB units.
Russia: 3 BTGs from 114th and 143rd MRR of 127th MRD (Far East) of 5th CAA, Eastern Military District
Bakhmut - here we can see two enemy groups wich assaulting our positions from east and south in Semyhirya direction. Southern enemy group operates from Dolomitne - Novoluhanske area and consists of elements of 3rd MRB "Berkut" and 2nd separate tank battlion "Dizel" + 4-5 BTGs of Russian 40th naval infantry brigade (Pacific Fleet) and 336th naval infantry brigade (Baltic Fleet) + 2 PMC BTGs. Eastern group operates from Vidrodzhennia - Myronivskyi section to Vershyna - Semyhirya in composition of 2 PMC BTGs + some Russian ground forces, probably also from 127th MRD. For weeks of heavy fights Russians could push off UKR troops from power plant and partilally capture Vershyna village.
All what northern - Soledar and Siversk directions already other grouping, actions of which are out of this article. I just can say on that directions we can see almost the same tendetions - LPR+PVC gradually substituting Russian troops.
So, where all Russian forces are departing? To the south. There will be huge Russian offensive and decisieve battle of this war. About this tomorrow
Because of the fronline of this actions is more than 100 km I can't post full map, just only most intensive part - Maryinka - Avdiivka (40 km)

Russia has a lower GDP than Italy.
List of countries by GDP (nominal) - Wikipedia
Does it never occur to you that financially Russian really isn't capable of supporting a nuclear arsenal of that size?  There is a reason the US has had to help deal with Russia getting rid of all its nuclear material that @Ultradavediscussed several hundred pages ago.  Frankly if I was a Russian commander, I'd be very afraid to hit that launch button as there is no telling how badly it will malfunction.
You really need to ground your view of Russian military development in a realistic perspective on what a corruption ridden 11th rated GDP country is ACTUALLY capable of doing.

Novobohdanivka village, Zaporizhzhia ovlast, 22 km north from Melitopol. Strike or diversion on railroad. Here two railroad branches converge - from Melitopol to Vasylivka and from Novobohdanivka to Tokmak on the east.

"This country was forced to fight a war nobody wanted" is about as persuasive as Hitler's claims that the German people had to fight to avoid "racial annihilation". This was a war of choice by ambitious old men running a kleptocracy who don't want to be known as broken old men who used to run a kleptocracy.

The same was on UKR positions during ATO/OOS. This is just what on Soviet "politruks" language called "events of moral and psychological support (MPS)". Despite in UKR army "politruks" were substituted on "deputy comamnders of MPS" the methods and visions of moral support remained almost the same, like in Soviet army. Soldiers mostly without any interest were forced under threaten of rebukes and salary fines to be present on such concerts of voiceless village artists with formulaik patriotic songs, written by mediocre authors.

UKR S-300PT battalion has been marking own victories - 6 UAVs (БПЛА) and 21 cruise missiles (КР). On 5th of July they shot down 6 cruise missiles. Looks like this battalion defends Dnipropetrovsk oblast - according to official report on 5th of July Russians launched 7 missiles on this oblast and 6 were shot down on approach to Dnipro and Synelnykove

My friend told me, how Russian missiles and aviation devastated the north of Zhytomyr oblast, though there was nothing intersesting except small screen forces. Why? Because on old maps there were marked many SAM positions, military facilities and ammunitin stores of USSR times. No matetr, all this was abandoned and removed two dozens years ago, so on the place of ammo strore now is cottadge district - Russians anyway launched missiles there.

How can we possibly know that?  We can guess at the Russian target list but so far we have seen a lot of apartment buildings and shopping malls hit.  Ukrainian industry has been hit but  UA logistics are still up, they are pushing new capability to the front and as far as we can tell Ukrainian information architecture is running very well.  UA ISR has been impacted by EW in narrow fronts.
Meanwhile 4 bloody HIMARS appear to have forced the entire Russian operational logistical plan to push back about 100kms, and we covered the impact of that.  It has been noted by Russian milbloggers that Russia is shooting in the dark ISR-wise, and it shows.
If we compare the overall effects, I am not sure how one can put Russia and Ukraine on anywhere near even terms with respect to deep strike capability.  Russia is lobbing missiles as terror weapons, which is reinforcing western centres of gravity, while Ukraine has been hitting operational targets with precision (a bridge for f#cks sake!) to the point it has forced the Russians to shift operations.

You can call me a cynic and a pessimist, but Finland for sure needs to have an independent army. I don't believe for a moment that any French or German soldier would make an appearance here if Putain decided to come over for a visit.
With the "anglo-protestant" countries I have a bit of hope.
