waffelmann replied to BFCElvis's topic in Combat Mission Fortress Italy
I just loaded an armored Panzergrenadier battalion in the editor (Typical, July 1944) and I saw a few Berettas...if that was what you meant? -

Problem with white wash vehicles
waffelmann replied to Aragorn2002's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
Strange, because Phil also included a file with whitewash-Tag in the mod. You have 3 files for the mod? "white wash". "snow" and "whitewash snow"? Are there any other flak36 files in the Z folder? -
Problem with white wash vehicles
waffelmann replied to Aragorn2002's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
May I make a suggestion? Create a zzzzz folder in the z directory and then put the Kohlenklau mod files there? And then see how it looks in game? (A FLAK used as a PAK ) -
Problem with white wash vehicles
waffelmann replied to Aragorn2002's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
I just tested the mod on myself and it works. Since Kohlenklau is very clever in using both snow and whitewahed as the tag, the texture should always show up in light snow. What does the Pak look like in 1945, January, light snow? -
Problem with white wash vehicles
waffelmann replied to Aragorn2002's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
Not all from the same Type or different types? In the first case there are not enough snow-bmp-files for the existing variants. e.g. you have panzerIV-turrest.bmp, panzerIV-turrest 2.bmp and panzerIV-turrest 3.bmp and only panzerIV-turrest [whitewashed].bmp or panzerIV-turrest [sbow].bmp and no panzerIV-turrest 2 [whitewashed].bmp etcetc... -

Questions about US Infantry in Game

Thanks for the informations I still don't understand exactly why the vests weren't used anymore, but you don't have to understand everything, do you?!? Didn't the British use the vests either? -
Questions about US Infantry in Game
waffelmann replied to waffelmann's topic in Combat Mission Cold War
Aaahhh....folding spade! That explains it! Why were the vests no longer issued? I thought that wasn't so bad after all? Not great, but not bad against splinters? -
Hello, I have two questions for the US Infantry uniform specialists: 1.) Why don't the US soldiers have flak vests in the game? I thought they wore these in the Vietnam War and they were useful there too. So why not later? 2.) In the game, the US soldiers are apparently carrying empty shovel bags (at least I think that's what it is)...why is that? Is this a bug in the game or is there something else behind it? Greetings, Alex

Yes, it is not listed in the manuals....directly! But on page 3 of the red thunder manual () : "... Combat Mission: Red Thunder includes a wide array of historical German and Soviet equipment that was used on the Eastern Front... and this list will expand greatly as new Modules and Packs expand the scope of the game! Equipment new to Combat Mission includes a host of Soviet equipment, in- cluding: - T-34 -76 M1942, OT-34, T-34-85, IS-1, IS-2, and T-70M tanks. - SU-76M, SU-85, SU-122, ISU-122, SU-152, and ISU-152 assault guns. - M1895 Nagant revolver,TT-30 pistol, Model 1891 rifle, STV-40 rifle, PPSh,PPS-42, and PPS-43 submachine guns, the DP, DPM, Maxim 1910, SG43, and DShK machine guns. - ROKS-3 flamethrower, PTRD anti-tank rifle, 45mm and 76mm anti-tank guns, 76mm infantry gun, 50mm and 82mm mortars, and the 37mm and 85mm anti-aircraft guns. ..." (yeeees, I know that is not the official list)

The most important thing is that you don't use an AMD graphics card...better for CM is one from NVIDIA... -

I like how that was solved with the German equipment. And ponder what was traded for the gas mask bags. Interesting work! -
