  1. The decison events feature looks very interessting. Hopefully they we will be present in the new Fall Weiß campaign too Looking forward for the game
  2. :confused: Ok right now you can attack and move the same turn..so you can attack and move to another location. If it doesnt work for you its either to low supply..low action points (invest in motorisation), control of the squares around the unit. Regarding the 2nd option: Move move other unit attack with first unit attack with 2nd unit. Sometimes it would be helpful. On th other hand it adds to the skill in the game if you have to know what your unit expects before moving it to attack. The information regarding loses defenders / attackers are already a kind of cheat to aid you in the learning exp..
  3. Thx arado for your reply. My problem with the scripts are right now is that the encourage "gamey" gameplay or force the player to ply ahistorical. I can paly the game and I van win it twith the current rules but these things feel simply wrong for me.

  5. I really love WaW even more than sC2. Still some of the game mechanics are simply strange or feel very artificial for me. 1. Siberian transfer.... Usally they arrive automatically right after "pearl habour" => Winter 1941/42 Ok thats more or less fine for me even when its amazing that the msot advanced high tech troops have been sitting in the far east.... My problem with the Siberian transfer is, it is triggered too when the Germans arrive before that date and get to close to Moscow... There is no benefit for germany to do an actual Blitzkrieg. either way Rusia receives a huge amount of very powerful (At Leaast I tray to may out tech always before teh transfer to get the most of it) stopping any advance of germany usally right cold in its tracks... Worse as thee is no PENALTY for Rusia to transfer the troops even before Pearl Habour there is no game reason to try a forward defense at all. THe allied player will give up most of its land simply without any fight. He cant hold it anyway and its even better for him if the axis player makes a wrong move and triggers teh siberians. My suggestions would be: - Delay the Siberian automatic transfer a bit... Even if Japan attacks Pearl Habour in Dezember 1942 it woukld take a few weeks /months acess teh situation and transfer any troops. - IF teh transfer is triggered before November /Dezember 1942 there could be risk of a penalty for Rusia. => Japan sees that the east is totally undefended and takes resources from rusia away or something like that.... I hope this would force the Rusian palyer to invest troops and material in a more forward defense. Right now an alleid rusian player : Runs away...high tech weapons get deployed....runnign further away Building up of strengh...end struggle.... Hmm doesnt refelct very well the war with hordes of low tech rusians trying desperately to slow down or stop the german advane in Rusia. Simply, the game mechanics dont give any reason to even try this its suicide even worse with the issue of the "fist of god" aka "Tac Bombers" 2. Talking about scipts: - Amerika transfers Naval assets to Atalntik...Again here no penalty for Amerika to do that? Imagine if at Midway a whole carrier group , battleship etc would have been missing? 3. Transfer of English capital to Egypt... Human vs human usally invest lots and lots of material all over the world (At least I do) forcing many times deciding battels already in Egypt.. Hey either I break him there and if I lose England to a determined German palyer uaslly thats even worse for germany (I get good supply and Rusia and Amerika come to play earlier) Ok I can understand it has been done in the beginnig to prevent always a sealion... (long discussion in SC2) Afterwards came changes which made the Royal Navy actually useful to prevent a sealion. Right now the only issue would be the TAC Bombers able to wipe out any resistance in England. I would like to see the capital transfer go away in SC2 waw . It prevents the "real struggle of England to be sieged in England and to keep all resources at hand to prevent a sealion. => aka right now mostly the royal navy goes out sub hunting .. no real risk at that because a sealion is damm unattractive... etc. Best case would have been after the fall of England that the Britsh governament would have moved to Canada. stil they would have lacked the resources to keep the British army working...aka perhaps a few free Britsh units and an minium income from the empire but thats it. Not suddenly a "Wirtschaftswunder " in Egypt to supply the brtitsh army with material from the Egypt dessert. Even if Patton drives east is before the doors I would really love to see these issues adressed in Waw as they destroy for me the sense of reality in the WW2 simulation. As game mechanics they work and keep the game balanced but I think after all the other changes now its time for them to go.

PS: is it possible for faithful customers to get th enumber of E-Lizences been raised by 1 or the original number of 2 be restored by buying teh expansion.... lost already one license due to computer crash and I really would love to be able to play it on my laptop /and desktop ...or dont have panik to lose the 2nd E-License.....
  7. Problem with some strategies here are: You may be able to pull them of against the AI but not against a human player. Only against a beginner you will be able to pull of a victiory against England and Egypt in time. Investing many resources against Turkey works well against the AI but is much harder to pull of against a human player. MY suggestion i to learn to play a solid game which works against a human player too. Take a look at the following link: Panzerliga Mulitplayer guide SC2 Always use HQs to max out supply. Attach teh HQs to the attacking and frontline units, attack only if you can have the overwhelming forces on your side. Dont overextend sourself. Secure your income base with spain / and or the middle east. Dont waste resources on operating your trioops to much around. Dont forget to invest on the essential technologyies
  8. I hope if the soft attack is reduced there would be no need for the captial switching to Egypt for GB as it would be possible to defend teh Island. Right now many players simply neglect the defense of England totally as in the worse case they get a even better position in Egpyt and /or they invest a huge amount of resources in Egypt . Feels like of gamey for me. If the TacBombers are not so effectiv anymore it qould be possible for Egnland again to defend its Island (if they make it their first priority)
  9. - I like the suggestion from baron. Reduce the soft attack of TAc bombers. Additional suggestion would be : AA defense bonus should work against all aircraft in towns etc. - No escort modus for tac bombers. Either you have enough fighters to engadge the enemy fighters first. I am against to limit the build umbers even more. Already the pool limits feel "too artificial " for me. If I wanted to mass produce fighters in world war2 ..fine this should be possible. To limit the number of a certain untis because its to strong arggghh

Arado234 I simply have problems with the role of the Tactical bombers as superior tank killers (ok for me as the counter nice the very hard hitting tanks) + Army, HQ- Killers even in twons etc. Regarding AA guns just grade up a bomber who takes the first hit and then knock out your target HQ -2 hits...gone---- tank 2hits gone.... etc... The only redeeming element is now weather + limited numbers of these things if not we would see even worse raqces for the most tacs than in SC1! Air is much to important right now for my taste ists not an important element of the battlefield its the all deciding element right now ...feels wrong with me as with the weather modell it makes attacks a little bit of a lottery... Whole armies are reduced with even one attack to the point of rubble..
  11. arado how? 3 building + 1 from the siberian transfer? Besides getting AA lvl 5 + all the other technologoy you need... Havent insalled V.1.03 yet as I have to finish 4 MP games in progress before.
  12. You cant redeploy the canadian bombers... (+ Iceland to UK) Regarding the U units only after the US enters the war you are able to move the untis to the uk
  13. David I share your feeling regarding the importance im tac bombers... I think using them to bomb out cities, killing HQs eating tanks for breakfast is just to easy with them. You cant even protect your tanks with fighters as Tac bombers get escortet too.
  14. I think its a nice strategy especially against a passive rusian player. It shows you have to be even more careful as the rusian player...2 paras just to guard its a huge investment for rusia
  15. Nice strategy. Regarding the allies not able to stop you. 1. Rusian counter while your tacs are away in Summer 1942 they should be able to pull a decent counteroffensive 2. Allies could take Syria and wait at the border for just such a move
  16. Thx for still improving the game. Just some questions? - regarding the changes to rockets.... Why? At least till now I havent seen the map overflowing with rockets in MP ...it seemed that rockets were not worth the investment anyway, Why even make them less attractive? - At least from my perspective the game is weighted to the (over) use of "air power". Now even the numbers of not so effective anti air is taken down.... Aehmm why ? I feel I am not up to date regarding the way diplomacy and counterdiplomacy works right now in SC2 and WaW For example if England invests 4 chits in Spain, Germany 4 chits and ITaly 3chits in Spain...is there still a chance for the Axis to get a diplomatic hit on Spain? Perhaps somebody can bring em up to date.
  18. We tried to play the spanish civil war via PBEM . (vEry well made scenario) Me (english version) did sent the first move to a player with the german version (both are on v1.02). Result is : Warning pops up => All his units are shwon as little grey german paratroopers. 2nd try: German player renamed campaign folder so its the same as in the english version => untis are shown correctly => now we a bug with the diplomacy option: he can only invest one chit for 100 MP as Italy (englsih version) vs the normal 5 chits for 75 MP (single player german game) Anyway to make the game version language compatible?   19. @Hubert in the thread ongoing issues you hinted at a new patch. Well for me SC2 + WAW is bugfree perhaps I would wish for some finetuning regarding balancing Any tentative release date?
  20. Glad to see that SC2 is succesful enough to merrit a 2nd expansion. Still it seems more like a map pack . Any new additions to the game engine like : 3 player game..spectator modus...replay function ...world map for Multiplayer? HAve to admit that I didnt touch till now the scenarios for single player in WaW
  21. What exactly is wrong with the carriers as they are now? They are the most effective "ship" right now. Upgraded with long range they are a must ahve in any naval conflict to prevent surprise contacts etc. they never played a significant role in any European world war. IMO they are fine. in sC1 the carriers have been monsters
