Kind of sounds like the graphic engine is struggling to keep up or because of option settings and is turning things on or off as needed except under certain conditions such as plotting waypoints which gives the effect of texture movement.

Triggers would give the AI some serious muscle.

if using a router you need to open the port on the router as well.

Well using DropBox or something like it to exchange files would help especially if you have a fat pipe so 20 -30mb would not take that long. Also using Skype for video/voice while playing would keep things interesting.

Didn't post fast enough. nm I'm seeing the exact same problem with wind so no it is not just Parabellum. I've got a decent machine and when it trys to draw a scence with lots of trees and wind the fps drops like a rock. cpu 980x video GTX580 mem 12GB

If ati driver is loading some sort of hot key dll and you can figure out how to unload it then problem solved - maybe. Does ati use hot keys for changing settings or something?

Things you can try might be to try another mouse and keyboard and unplug all other usb devices just to see if there is a difference. Try different usb ports. reseat the video card. Assuming nothing is broken this problem sounds fixable.

Might be something running in background that captures mouse and or keyboard events or audio and video via a global hook could be interfering.
